Your fondest goa memory

Alright alright alright

Dear beautiful people of psynews;

Yes you

And you

Mranarchy.. you too

So offtopic has become something we don't like. OK, I get that. You want to all gather up and blame me.. OK, I get that too.

What I really get is good times. Is this what we want for offtopic?! Bickering?! Fights?! Finding reasons to fight?!

I don't want that. You don't like me? Ok, I get that. However, cut the crap. Let's get to some good posts like the ones we've been seeing as of late.

I'm so dedicated to this topic and not necessarily me, I want someone to start this same topic while taking full credit and deleting my post. I want us all to come together in the spirit of why we are here in the first place.. AND THAT'S GOA

my fondest goa memory is hearing the song nilaya by astral projection for the first time. Me and my friends reaction all the way up to my 6 year old daughter named nilaya.

I'm interested in your fondest goa memory! Was it a gig? Were you alone? Forest party? Leave no detail behind as when it comes to our common bond on these forums.. goa.. these are our moments.

Ps - richpa.. this thread is dedicated to you in memory of Nemo. We had a conversation like this and it's only fair Nemo take credit and Richpa you get your due mention.. Boy did I fire on you :)

My fondest memory of Goa, the city:  I hated all the hippies, the European tourists, the corrupt police and the money-hungry locals that I left in 3 days promising to avoid going there again.

My fondest memory of Goa, the music: Hallucinogen, Eat static, Juno Reactor and Prometheus in Athens 2009

1) Music was amazing, especially Simon although I've heard him about to 10 times

2) Literally, all my close friends (except for one) were there. One of them was across the street at a Greek live music venue (were they throw flowers and used to break plates) and we went and took her by force although she doesn't listen to this kind of music and she loved it, she was in high hills which she had to get rid and dance barefoot.  Also, while we were dancing I looked to my left and I saw another friend from a town up north (Larissa), he hadn't told us that he was coming and we just bumped to each other on the dancefloor. Also, at about 6 in the morning a bride in her wedding party dress came at the party and she became the center of the party.

It was the combination of great music and great company.

I wish I was there. That sounded like great times. Really a magical once in a lifetime experience.

I wish I could hear more so I can feel like I was there.. :(

When I asked a dj to play Maia by Pleadians and Shitty Stick by Slinky Nuns and he played both during his set. I went completely beserk. Nothing felt as good in my life as hearing those 2 tracks on a massive sound system.

Shitty Stick by Slinky Nuns

you asked for shitty stick? not that it's a bad track, but if i had to choose one slinky track it definitely wouldn't be the first to come to my mind. lunar juice would be a more obvious choice. but i guess it's better than a poke in the eye with a... ;)

That by itself is why I asked for Shitty Stick! :) Lunar juice is more famous and it already got played a few times on previous parties by the same guys. Also you should have seen the mass when he played it! Complete acid meltdown man! The Djs tend to play tracks that more people know (only oldschool goa but still) and I usually ask nicely for some track that I like and they play it for me. Not everyone is a goa worm that knows almost all albums by year released lol

That night in particular, VERY HARD!  Legendary night! Plus the party was on a platform, maybe I can even call it a big boat that floats on the place where Sava flows into Danube, ancored to the shore. The morning was absolutely amazing as the sunrise made the danube look like its burning, the wind was blowing hard and the goa was raging. Damn that was a beautiful day!

1997, I was 16 yo at the time, a city of ~200k ppl. All the Goa parties were considered a success if they had like 50 ppl,and I used to go alone. You couldn't find a lot of ppl at my age, in my city, listening to Goa. So no friends to share that experience.

But one night, dancing at the sounds of Johann - Stranded (Delta rmx), there she was, the black sheep of my class. The girl with the strange haircut, full of piercing, that she didn't talk to anyone (or anyone talked to her). Shared a bottle of water, talked, one of the few ppl that didn't do drugs or drink (contrary to what we thought at school), just enjoyed the music.

And now I had a friend to go to the parties.

i see. the thought that someone (except belgians) might already have heard lunar juice at a party didn't occur to me :). it's not a very famous track and slinky wizard is unknown even to many of the local oldschool freaks.

i cannot decide which one is better. one has the awesome acidlines in the foreground, the other has all those gated sounds and effects massaging the inside of your skull...

Definitely a tough call. I went to a club with some friends a long time ago and he was playing house so I requested some goa and he had some phantasm. Was cool
