Your live or dj wish list

That would be interesting to know which artists or dj's you wish to see in action. and why you didn't have a chance.

Here is my "little" wish list:

1. RA, a big mystery why they stopped performing...I know from some rumors that Christer is not able to play because of some health issues (I hope it's not correct),but It's okey if Lars can take it by himself, If he just responding to the messages.

2. CHI A.D, when here in Israel the Goatrance become popular again (2007+), Hannah disappeared and many productions here missed the moment to bring her. Hannah is in active on facebook, and respoding the messeges, and share her future music plans. now I have a hope for a live one day.

3. Ominus/Dara Lee, another big mystery. even the biggest productions here could not catch any info about Dara Lee. at least Marcello Bonifacii came for Encens set. I didn't had a chance to come.

So I guess if Miranda and Marcello join together would it be be considered as an Ominus set?

*btw I'm still not sure about Dara's gender, the discogs photos are not enough clear to know if he is a man or a women

4. Koan, the ambient due from Russia, Their performances are so rare that If it's happan you need to be ready immediately, last year on Samsara festival they booked into the lineup a couple days before the festival started. and they are extremley expensive (heard from friends who wanted to book them to Israel), one day.

5. Aural Planet (Goa and Ambient), me and my friend have tried hard to bring them, as an all group, or even one of them. each of them refused for several reasons, I guess they are not interested in Aural anymore. the Sundial Aeon project is more into their life nowdays.

6. Abakus, missed the chance to catch him 5 years ago. is he still performing? I wonder how a big festivals didn't booked him.

7. Goa Gil :) the legend.

8. Mindsphere, It's a bit problematic to bring someone from Turkey to Israel, but if both sides (artist and production) would take it seriously it coule be happen, the question is, who is not?

9. Khetzal, a person who always busy and has a fear to flight. should we try a ship?

10. Ozric Tentacles. discovered them deeply only this year.

It could be a nice line up :D a dream come true line up.

These are the most wanted of mine. I must admit that many rare artists have played in Israel recently. such as: Asia 2001 - Gilbert, Cosmosis Vs Laughing Buddha (reunion), Disco Volante, Rhythmystec, Tromesa, Andy Guthrie, Ree.K and many more, So I'm positive that the rest will show themselves sooner or later.

and what is yours? :)

I got to hear Darshan live a couple of weeks ago, so that has been checked off of the list.

I'd love to travel back in time and experience the proper Green Nuns live show (not the recent Dick Trevor DJ sets)

Shaolin Wooden Men

Blue Planet Corporation

Union Jack (the real one)

Mark Allen DJ set

The Zap!

James Reipas

Man With No Name

ra, chi-a.d., khetzal, artha, shakta, morphem (i know that one is impossible).

of course mindsphere and miranda/ominus would be nice too but they are not must-see-at-all-costs acts like the above.

others on my list (etnica/pleiadians oldschool set, dimension 5, artifact303, e-mantra, filteria, astral, hallucinogen, nova fractal, ...) i have already seen. i'd love to do so again, but there's already a checkmark besides their name.

also: talamasca oldschool set, but i'm not expecting lestat to play anything but cheese anymore...

I'm (we are) quite lucky in Athens to have Haris Papadimitriou AKA Dj Fishimself who the past years has brought some of the biggest old-school legends in his place or other clubs:

Antaro,UX, Orion, BotfB, Lunar Asylum, BPC, UX, Shakta, Darshan(didn't really like it), Tsuyoshi, Kuro, Tim Schuldt and many more so I don't have to travel abroad to catch them. I know he's also been talking with Chi-AD.

One group that I constantly keep missing at festivals because of timetable clashes or sleep or stupidity is Slinky Wizard.

My haven't-heard-definetly-want-to-hear list

Slinky Wizard

Transwave old-school

Artha

Khetzal

Ovnimoon (I know, only in South America)

Dimension 5

Chi-Ad

Human Blue

I feel kinda proud that a lot of the names that you are mentioning, I've caught. But living in Europe and having the gem that is 'Harris" in Athens is really the reason.

Space Cat, Indoor and Phreaky will I see next year. :)

What's left then... Asia 2001, Psysex, Power Source, Evolution, K.U.R.O, and a few others. Luckily I have seen many of my favorites and alot more.

Process live was incredible and a seriously psychedelic mind fuck

Brought him out to the Pacific Northwest about 4 or 5 times.

The first time was his only truly live set. The others were great DJ sets and DJ + Extra Manipulation sets.

Here are some photos from that event: https://www.facebook.com/thegoaconstrictor/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1125075010862044

So many legendary acts i could not see live but others that I could, luckily and guys, I have seen Doof perform in 2000, i feel *so* lucky because of that, so many years before we properly met and had a chat and so long before releasing his legendary album again. So for that i'll be forever grateful as it happened in London when he was still active. I can also share a bit of light on why he has not been answering anyone about bookings. As far as I could understand from his words (Nick I hope you'll excuse me if I cannot rephrase exactly what you said!): He lived that era with a true spirit, he loved it and experienced it to the maximum bur right now he is focusing on other things, and he is into a different style of music, the concept it's much deeper but i cannot really express it with the right words. I feel that maybe someday he might return to the source (again just my idea) but when we spoke about it, last year in ibiza, he told me he was flattered but that it was no more his vibe and wouldn't be true to himself performing. And since he loves to do things with a soul he cannot accept. And I think it's the best explanation ever and so honest.

But back to the topic and speaking of acts I'd love to see:

Chi-AD, as everyone of course, and that would be a dream come true.

Green Nuns again as I have seen them live as a duo in 2006 at Twisted, tweaking their hits like crazy on a MS20 and a Moog, it was incredible really, so I would love to see that again!
Asia 2001. I know Gilbert has been playing in Israel sometimes but I have not had the luck to be there, and I regret it, as it really was one of the pioneers

Total Eclipse, well the best would be to experience a liveset in full formation and with synths but since I cannot turn back time also a new liveset could do

Transwave. A great duo performance and possible a retro live set would be amazing.
Miranda/Ominus. Classical vibes, lovely tunes and a must, so I want to experience a liveset of her, someday.

Dimension 5. I have never seen them live and therefore would love to

Power Source. It would be really amazing to see him live, possibly tweaking over synths and with a real keyboard.

GangGuru. They guys made some killer tunes but well, they performed last in the 90s I believe.

Toi Doi. Gilles is really a genious, I would love to see a liveset of his, I know some of you did, but again, was not there when happened.

so many to list but that is the core

I brought out Rip Van Hippy a few years ago.

Him and Andrew Till. Was an astounding evening of music.

I didn't have the budget to include SWM (and at the time Ollie was in hiding and may have not came out regardless), but that was a blast.

I <3 Rip Van Hippy so much

According to the Rainbow Serpent website my application to play is still "In review".  It would be awesome to finally get to play in Australia (hell, even to go there) but sadly it wouldn't be 'live' as there's as much chance of getting the whole band there as there is of <insert extremely unlikely event here>.

Geoff (Rip Van Hippy) and Andrew Till definitely still kick it.

We had a blast and Andrew's set was easily one of the most psychedelic experiences.

In addition to them, since he was brought up previously, Process played.

apolloslute.com/

The Propaganda onslaught for promotion was fun with that.

I miss throwing parties and booking lineups.

Unfortunately, Rip Van Hippy, Andrew Till, and Process, while great on paper, is hard to entice people to in a place like Oregon, USA...

Im way more interested in hearing dj sets from collectors then artists but if i

ever had a list it will be something like this :

Xp Voodoo (Goa only, he can keep his Full on or whatever he is playing now till after im gone:)

Dj Jebee (France collector that played around israel during 99-00, insane music and out of this world mixing skills)

Necmi (Heard him at a domo/moksha party, superb night beats)

Noma (imo he was lightyears beyond everything this scene has seen, smart music with a style no one has managed to follow)

Graham Wood dj set

Pepe Squaremeat

Pharmakon and Generator (Canadian dj's with massive mixing skills)

And Ukiro's Tech/trance vinyl set (Still have his set from 00'-or 01' :P)

So yeah, Think that's just about it for a list that will make me put on my dancing shoes and go to a party, will show

those new kids on the block how to dance :)
