Is Nilaya to perfect to be remixed

Remix is meant to be different, vision of specific artist for specific track, by his taste.

Now to me proggy remixes of Goa classics are stupid but to artist that made them are super cool and to the crowd. Let There Be light by Outsiders is modern dancefloor athemn... while for me its blaah.

Also keep in mind that dancefloor and what people want is pretty different these days, 20 years gap... what is best for us for them is blah or opposite.

I guess its up to taste :)

true for most great tracks - when there is not much room for improvement it is better to create an original track insteadi dont like the melicia remix much

I've found the beauty in the melicia remix.. you should find it in your heart to do the same. It might change you..

I hear you I hear you

I promote positivity and always find the best in things.. the progressive remix of dancing galaxy is absolutely ace

I like how you explained the different vision remix theory.. I left a lasting impression huh buddy ? ;)

Anyways, you're right, different vision.

Even then - different vision and all.. it still might be impossible. Nilaya could very well be the that track

Nilaya.... a true classic. Always gives me goosebumps everytime i listen to it <3

That's why I named my daughter nilaya. Not only that but I just gave her the another world album on vinyl. It's in her room.

I should post a pic of her holding the record :)

Anyways brother I couldn't agree more with you. I hope you have a beautiful day :)

I think it's too perfect, yes. The only other way I would want to hear this track is with a touch more bass punch, but that was a product of the equipment in use at the time, not a criticism of the producers.

Hello brother

I hear you. Thanks for phrasing this in a respectful way. Usually someone is a moron and doesn't know anything, but in this case it's 90s equipment.

I've at one point felt that way, but I like the bass punch as is because nilaya has so many epic buildup that after a breakdown you get to hear that bass as it fades into the sea of brilliant melodies that follow.

Now I'm triggered. :) What 90's equipment makes the bass lack punch?Great track indeed, one of the best. I don't believe in too perfect music though.

Not today. We're not going to get out our pocket calculators and argue sound theories.

EVERYONE ON HERE IS BRILLIANT

so reminding you of that, we can have a hotdog eating contest. Arm wrestling tournament. We can fight over equipment, but in the case of psynews - where we are all brilliant, it leads to ugly. Like I said, getting into it can be productive, but it seems people can't articulate differences in a way that doesn't lead to drama.

Like nilaya is perfect, I ask you kindly to START YOUR OWN THREAD about 90s equipment and sound. I feel if you started your own thread on it, then we can preserve this thread plus promote another.

Fair enough?
