Nikola Petrović (Imba) has been known to many people as a guy who promoted Goa trance music with his netlabel UAF Records and who gave a huge contribution to Neogoa Records on many compilations and joint project such as Future Architecture. He is also a member of Goa trance groups such as Space Elves, Stellar Force, Stellarians, but lately he has been known simply as Imba, a productive Goa trance producer who made an appereance on many different labels and who did a lot of interesting collaborations with other musicians. Now, the time has finally come for his debut, stand-alone release on Neogoa Records.

Impossible Astronaut is a collection of his finest works, but with new refined sound and mix, with a lot more power and energy with interesting acidic melodies typical for his music. The digipak version of Impossible Astronaut brings you over 50 minutes of top notch Goa trance music: 3 new tracks + Dimension 5's Omega Centaurus remix and collaboration track with Phargua. Pre-orders for this limited version will start in few days, so don't wait too much, since it's an unique opportunity to own this music on hardcopy. Free/digital version with only three tracks should pop-up on Ektoplazm sometime in March.

All tracks written and produced by Nikola Petrović (Serbia) except: Track 04 (featuring Sander Moyson - Belgium), Track 05 (written and produced by Charlie Clarke, Kerry Palmer, Nick Wenham - United Kingdom), released on 'Dimension 5 - Transdimensional' album in 1997 at Intastella Records (INTA CD01), remixed by Nikola Petrović. Mastering by Igor Čeranić (Croatia) at Deimos Soundlabs with artwork design by Ivan Parić at Neogoa Design.

its awesome richpa that you have expanded your creativity when making album covers.

they are alot better now than previously and this is also a very good one.

Imba-

how do you do it? You spit out tracks in the same pace i make comments on psynews :D

well, almost.

for an artist to put out complete tracks in that pace - and STILL have the feeling that the track is indeed complete and not just a hasty project - is truly rare and very impressive.

You definately hit your stride and im very proud that such a funny and active psynews member also release top notch goatrance.

would be an honor to make a collaboration with you, when im on par with your skill level.

Thanks a lot mate :)

Actually im not very satisfied with results, i expected i will make it better (and im never satsfied with my music). I spent last 2-3 months constantly working on tracks every day and still... but i guess being self-critical leads to improvement.

Im only satisfied with D5 remix, but again each track is in different 'style' so it's hard to say really.

Let's see and wait and work hard... and after summer i hope album will be much better quaility :D

I need to find the time to listen to this album all the way through, but so far I love what I hear! I am really starting to get a feel for the style. I can tell the kicks, basslines, leads are all fast approaching something really pretty unique in goa trance at the moment. It's spacey, hard hitting, trancey, ethereal.

Also, I had to double check to make sure I wasn't going crazy, but these 5 tracks total 52 minutes. That's over 10 minutes per track on average! At that rate Imba could only fit at most 7 tracks on a full length CD.

This stuff is already good, but the best is yet to come indeed... :) You are on the right way :) Good luck with the release, the more your music is spread, the better!

Ordered!! :D I also really like what I am hearing... so looking forward to that album if it will be even better :P and yeah being self-critical can be both a blessing and a curse... most important is to be able to let go :P and I think you can be proud of your installment here with the astronaut you sent into space ;)

I have to agree with Drosophilia at some point, it can be tricky especially if you got the urge for nit-picking constantly. Some potentally great stuff can be ruined instead of being improved. Been there, done that a lot of time, in terms of music that I recieve, as well as my own design. Being self-critical is a good and positive thing, even better when you're able to accept any kind of feedback/input. Speaking about this release, with the improvements and the selection (there was more tracks subbmited), we felt it should be pressed on hardcopy, and we don't press anything just like that.
