Hello aficionados,

Only in rare occasions i have been submerged by an atmosphere so clear and bright that i was feeling levitating.

In fact it turned to obsession a few weeks ago, and i started to explore all the subgenres of psytrance to see if something was dedicated to this particular alchemy in the music, but not really :/

i would say it was the perfect opposite of dar-psy, it was pure light.

most fo goa songs make you floating, but only rare ones make you levitate

please share this golden tracks

Regards

This sounds more like the indian seaside resort camping party hit from 1998 to me.

i get it, you are a troll, this is my hazing. is it?

No offense, i know the feeling of levitating is subjective but let's try to focus on the fineness of the song plzzz

hi Scandinasia,

it's difficult to me to be clear, so i gonna use some music to illustrate my thoughts and i will appreciate that you correct my words so i can speak clearly to the community (i am french and new to goa)

i like when it's intense and epic like this two bombs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giugf3gSo7M

however, i had the chance to experience the same intensity in a completely different atmosphere: more playful, joyful, more light.

i think there was no "woin woin", just melodious sonorities that make me think of happy E.T dancing on the moon.

thank you for your help in this quest

PS: i can't see the videos, what should i do

ok i have isolated an important point.

almost all the goa sounds the same when you overfly it in your itunes (just play 2 secondes and switch to the next song).

It sounds all the same. what you hear is a kind of rasping rough sonority, cutting lasers and so on.

Can you please find me tracks that have a soft sonority, while being intense and immersive. The atmosphere i am looking for is alien gathering/euphoric/zero gravity (i am sure it will make sens when we will figure it out :P)

thank you for your help

Due to unknown technical reasons, I can't see the Youtube media links anymore since a few days. Could you tell me then the names of the tracks please (or the URL please ) ?

Ephedra - Creation of The Moon

BlackStarrFinale - Bonetti Defense

I am not sure what kind of mood from the melodies you are looking for, but maybe this is it...

Ethereal - Moondawn

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZ-7mca_wwY

thank you!

this is the kind or arpeggio' sonority(starting at 2"15 and 2"40) i am sick of, it tickles the top of my head and puts me in trance.

how would you describe it?

However it is flooded almost the entire song.I would enjoy a musique where this sonority is leading, dominant, nonstop, with a faster beat.

do you have anything like this?

thank you John

A mon tour !

Progressive Bubble Morning

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GL2FDTNGdH4

Progressive Full-On Goa

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVB_WjOXLgE

Neo Goa that makes gargling sounds

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AO8SX_Uxd6E

LSD ! LSD !

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LxwiOuQ3Ig

Do we get closer to your idea ? I'm pretty confident about LSD. I proposed here very different tracks so that I get your need with more precision.

I've understood the common points between the tracks of Ephedra and BlackStarrFinale that you've submitted : they have strong, overwhelming, hypnotysing basslines. They have indeed a little "floating" feeling. But it's hard to find a track that matches those two.

Eureka !

I'm 99% sure this track will do.I hope I'm right.

By the way, Mister Carpus, if you're reading this, can you tell me why the sound of the bassline here is so much different from the 2008 mix from Ovnimoon Records ? And where can I get this one ?

Really, this bassline is... oh God.

Hi scandinavia,

first of all thank you again for your help in this quest of my "perfect track"

your suggestions are all great, e-mantra and LSD represent perfectly this overwhelming feeling that i love so much

Despite the epic side of these tracks, none of them are in the euphoric mood that i am looking for (e-mentra is pure bliss and reminds me "JBC arkadi" tracks that i really enjoy but i need to go higher)

So i hope these new elements will help you to figure out what turns me ecstatic:

In the intro of this song, the very beginning, the tonality used is what i can't find anywhere.

[Official] Sirius - Not From Here

So basically a track built around this tonality like, for exemple, this arpeggio much more faster with a strong hypnotising baseline will put me in orbit. The ideal would be like an epic journey in euphoria but this tracks are so rare!

Another info that may give you ideas (I don't think so lol) is the fact that i experienced this alchemy during a Byelorussian dj set who was dressed like a puck...

The magic was total.

yo bro..

for some reasons i cant see youtube links..

anyway..i think u re referring to liquid freq..others ask me the same..

the reason is simple...this track i started many years ago ..even before arcana ..so might have 10 years

originally having the first bassline u have listen in re-birth compilation from usta records

after couple of years i only changed the bassline and add a new lead ..thats it ..

but just cuz i love this track i wil totally remake it for my 10 years release ,,

peace

First of all, thank you Night Hex ! I love both basslines, but I think that the first one had something more catchy. But the 2008 mix is definitely more refined.

Now, Mister Spoke, I remember there was an album, made in the old era, that was an attempt to explore the deep dark space and its landscapes : darkness, absence of gravity, cosmic silence. It was called "The Awakening".

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P--VtVEOVTs

The melodies don't sound like the ones you mentionned hereabove, but the tone of the album might please you.

Edit : There was also a great artist that explored this sonic dimension, but he made Drum and Bass. Tell me if you like that one.

It is called Devoid of Gravity.

Bonus : Levitation Device

Hi Scandinasia,

you have isolated the cosmic silence and hypnotising bassline.

But it seems that you do not have what i am looking for so now i gonna dive into playlist of rare and unreleased tracks on youtube, i will keep you update if i find what i am looking for, and share anything that may interest you. if i say right you like when it has a melancholic mood overall.

Thank you for your help anyway.

So, is that a success ? :)

You are satisfied by these ? (If you do, you can get Cybernetika albums for free at Ektoplazm.

You might also enjoy the post-Goa albums of Etnica, such as this one.

Yes, I like melancholic Goa Trance. Actually, there was a "What kind of Goa Trance do you like best ?" and I answered this :

I like floating melancholic Goa Trance with emotionnal peaks and a newschool bassline. I love when it is storytelling, oniric/Fantasy. Examples :

Crossing Mind - Andromeda

Asura - Life²

I prefer desorientalized Goa Trance. And I LOVE when there's no vocal sample with people talking. I hate that.

Cheers !

EDIT : Damn, I misread. You are not satisfied yet -_-. What a hard game xD. I'll keep trying bro.

Gosh, I haven't heard this track in a long, long while. This is why it surprised me when I later found out that E-Mantra was a Goa act; through this track I'd always assumed that he made psytrance.

I have the released Ovnimoon Records CD version somewhere at home which I can upload for you when I find it. I seem to remember the bass having some weird stereo phasing sound to it. Perhaps it was changed to make it sound 'better' through sound systems?

(I listened to it via my iPhone, BTW, so maybe the bass does still sound weird and I'm just chattin' shit? :P)

[Edit]Looks like the producer of the track replied first[/edit] :)
