One hit wonders of goa

Innominato - Clear Air Turbulence

So many of the best tracks were done by artists who released 1 phenomenal 12'' and disappeared. Not one hit wonders, more like one or two records period.

Someday I'd like to see a compilation with 'other' tracks done by these artists, as many as we can track down :P

Sun scream

Dna

Bizarre contact

Liquid paradise

Itn

La esparansa

Intelligent life

but i can think of some more examples (maybe some of these have had success otherwise, but then it's unknown to me) :

pharacognescia - pharatropic

nemesis - snake dance

passenger - sundance

the secret - pagan dance

soluna - dancing spirit

psychonauts - shadows of the moon

satori - razor

sonic fusion - tribal warrior

children of the doc - martian civilization

der stern von afrika - lumbumbashi

haldolium - pi symptom

witchcraft - whale (well, there's magic frequencies too, but that's it)

arguably also planet b.e.n. - questionmark

Haldolium is not a one hit wonder.

quite possible. i only discovered haldolium by having mixtapes with pi symptom on the tracklist. i had never heard from them before.

You can not be serious mate ! :P

Children of the doc I thought the track Bionic bong was more of a classic than the track you mentioned ?

:D. still it's much more popular than anything else planet b.e.n.. and rightfully so imho ;)

absolutely right. i forgot that one. two-hit-wonder then? ;)

Huxflux time slices maybe?

no way, everything from hux flux is great :)

I agree with most (for sure Soluna and Psychonauts), but Witchcraft made Witchcraft magic as well, did you hear that one? For me it is even better than whale and Magic Frequencies... :)

He is not a one hit wonder. All his albums and tracks are amazing. Please check.

For me one hit wonder would be Kayseri-Electric

I'm very interested in reading what you guys will put here.

I can think of a few and they are

Sandman - end of the world
Now he had some good tracks so wasn't sure I was gonna post this but imo that track is a lot better than his other stuff
The green house remix is amazing too.

I assume you are being sarcastic. You do know that Growling Mad Scientists = GMS? At one point, their sound (and worse, their style of sound) was everywhere. One could barely escape it.

SUN Project are also a very productive group (although with only a handful of decent tracks). And to call Tristan a one track wonder? Wow.

As far as Overlords are concerned -> Sundown is THE track. Not Naked People. I suppose this might be a generation thing. Some of you weren't born when Sundown came out in 1991. But believe me, it made a big impact.

Man, this is just my opinion. I have right to that :)

I was speaking only about goa here, not later GMS psytrance or earlier Overlords EDM...

For Tristan i only think that Close Zen Counter is only great goa track for him by my taste.

For SUN project i liked only few tracks but i think this is best.

I might misunderstood essence of subject but i shared what i think :)

Ofcourse everyone has his right to share what he thinks, but in my opinion The Overlords - Sundown is indeet the best rack by them, a real oldschool track. And about Tristan, the whole Audioframe album is impressive in my opinion.

sundown is about as oldschool as it gets concerning goa.

but wasn't the overlords' true "hit" in the goa scene "god's eye on goa"? for sure it's my favourite ;)
