Don't much care for them. I can appreciate that some of them are well-made, but I just don't enjoy watching them for the most part. I do like the really cheesy bad ones (e.g. Troma) though, for their comedy appeal rather than their horror appeal.

I have nothing against them and i don´t prefer them over other movies.

When it says horror on the box you know right from the beginning that something horrible will happen. But usually it's just a horrible movie with horrible plot and acting.

Hi guys,

Are you fond of horror movies? I have the feeling there's a link between horror movies and at least some of the trance music... I like horror movies, although I don't watch anymore :)

Yup, I love them. Really hard to find good horror movies these days though. Also, how come you don't watch anymore??

Used to enjoy them but grew out of them. It was the Hostel ones that told me it was time to give up, they were just so pathetic in every way possible.

I much prefer my Cannibal Corpse collection for horror themes than movies. I don't think it suits trance much, just like the demonic stuff that's been done doesn't either. There's nothing psychedelic about horror, I saw The Exorcist reissued in a cinema years back on psychedelics & it was not triply at all. I just laughed so hard my face hurt for the next month!

Fear is a primal feeling. Possibly the first feeling we experience. It's connected to our psyche. Since psychedelics tend to 'dig' in your mind they can find fear. Isn't that the reason of bad trips after all?

If Makka meant psychedelic horror movies then they are many of them.

I like the Phantasm series. It's also related to one of my all-time favourite pieces of trivia: Angus Scrimm, who plays The Tall Man, has won a Grammy for best liner notes in a classical music CD.

Horror is such a broad genre, but I see what you're getting at. Take an old classics like Phantasm. There's something totally psychedelic about it. Very otherworldly.

Oh yes! And the soundtrack is amazing.

Torture porn is a horror genre, but I also didn't like it. The movie certainly leaves an impression on you, unlike other torture films like Saw, Hostel or even pseudosnuff like August Underground, but I found the premise ridiculous.

Torturing women to find what's after death?

You will find out soon lady! It's not like you can avoid it. They could find a better idea for the torture. Plus it felt like two different films glued together. The first half is a vengeance film with paranormal scary stuff involved and the second one full torture.
