Organic Instruments

For me, 80% of all tracks should contain the organic instruments sounds from the place the artist has been raised in.

But somehow this is SO RARE occassion. At least to my notice.

Here is a perfect example how the music should have sounded now days. And it`s a free to listen track.

Judith & SubConsciousMind - Desperation Symphony (2009) - Cello, Viola

Nice ideas, the tracks you posted are very good :)

I like organic instruments too, but I don't think they fit in everywhere.

In this one they fit - if the melody is even played on an organic instrument, because I have my doubts.

But at least you could play this on an organic one and it would still sound great IMO:

Etnoscope - Medieval

Yes, this is the exactly kind of tracks I am looking for in this thread!

When I was listening to this Etnoscope`s album, I have mentioned this and maybe some others tracks to myself! But when I was creating this thread, I totally forgot about it.. thanks to remind :)

I wish there were more tracks that are made to fit with organic instruments and used them. IMO it would have made them more rich, alive and enjoyable, because without them the music sounds too `techy`...

And there should be MANY, MANY more tracks.. For example, when I listen to the mix section of divbyzero.de online psy/goa radio, like almost once per mix there is a track with organic instrument widely used. They stram mostly progressive side and I even recognise tracks from my 2003-2005 listening experince, but now I forgot all of their names..

Well, I have nothing against the music sounding techy, after all I feel very comfortable with synth frequencies and started to listen to electronic music for the reason that it doesn't contain organic instruments...

But I nowadays see it as an interesting element when tracks contain organic instrument sources. This element, however, will only as long stay interesting to me as this doesn't get a too common practice :)

Anyway, here is another recommendation for you: Klangstrahler Projekt. They are more known for using guitars than other string instruments, but they do have these too. I listened to them a lot in the past, I had their first two albums ... then it somehow got silent around them and meanwhile they released a bunch of other stuff, but I failed to keep up, so don't ask me about the more recent releases...

Anyway, I'm sure you'll like them:

Well, some time ago I was also eager only for the electronic synth frequencies but now I came to the conclusion that they have reached their limits the way people use them.

Organic instruments IMO would not only help to sound more juicy and more rich, but also would help to find out the very specific eletronic sounds for each person, as now they are all too random and too common...

Yes, thanks! It`s just what I am looking for!

Apart from the guitars I hear many many more instruments that do sound very organic to me.

Another good thing is that they now give away their first `99 album for the free 192kbps download! And it is also full of organic sounds and have some really nice uptempo tracks.. :) like this one

Maranatha

And this one

Extremely Well

Their logo also totally shares the feeling of high-tech + oragnic

You mean the main melody that sounds sort of like a flute? I'd guess it's a sampled real flute (of some sort).

Also, AWESOME song! Gotta check that album in your signature now!

Good to hear that I gave a good recommendation :)

You make me roll up the whole stuff I used to listen to back then, hehe.

There was one more artist you'll probably like aswell ... as far as I know he has been working quite closely with Klangstrahler Projekt anyway. It's Feuerhake. His first two albums were great ... but then he went to Synergetic records (Austian label) and started to make progressive trance. That stuff is not so bad either, but it has nothing to do with his first two albums.

His early stuff I found great. And it has organic sounds aswell. There are even trumpets in "La Aurora":

glad you like the track ... yes, please do check the album out, it's available for free on Ektoplazm and it should be heard :)

Listening to "Way Over Deadline" now. It's good music, but doesn't inspire me to listen to a whole album at once. I realized I have "Drums From the Dawn of Time" on my computer. I listened to that whole album again, and realized why I'd removed it from my iTunes library. It's music that would be best as one song in a set, not a whole album at a time.

Well, I do think differently (I can well listen to this in one piece and I like every track of them), but I'm happy that you find it good :)

You can also try Hilight Tribe. Their music is more focused on trance (in its very sense) and they achieve it with mostly organic instruments. For example they have a real bassline - played with a bass. I have not yet encountered another band that has that...

Tegma - El Mariachi

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzLdMKwDLgQ

The name seem to be translated from the spanish as `a musician`. Using spanish guitar, and spanish vocals. And has a totally organic and really ethnic feeling.

The track can be downloaded for free in 320kbps from the official Tegma`s web site.
