Come on man, they do this voluntarily. Show some respect. This ain't about being up in anyone's arse. This is about recognizing and respecting the work someone puts into a passion-project and being grateful that someone actually does this at all. If you don't agree with me, nobody stops you from starting a poll yourself.

Anyways i rate infected mushroom - the gathering was much better than classical mushroom... more raw and trippy...

So do I. But it was released in 1999, unfortunately.

In any case - nullify this one and make a new one.

If you think you'll have better luck getting people to vote than we did, and you're willing to do all the work of checking releases, counting votes and writing up the results, nothing is stopping you from starting your own thread.

Why do u want me to show respect to something that epicly failed?

Why do u want me to create a new poll?
It was done already but failed so the creators should simply do it again and do it right.

Why exactly it was failed neurogen? Because you don't agree with the results or because of the few votes?
About the resuslts it's not our 'fault', it's what the voters voted. Should we erased this poll because we don't agree with the results?
About the votes we all agrred that they were such so few votes, but we tried our best.

Can you give me an example of how to do it right? Personally I have no problem to do it again with more voters, but I can't see what more to do. Threat members with ban if they don't vote?

Dude
Im not blaming anyone.
It was fail due to too few votes.
Thats it. Shouldnt have ended it with only 1 or 3 votes of each. Should rather end with "sorry not enough votes"

You may be right. It really saddens me that such few people voted. I wish we could redo it and find a way to attract more voters.

Just an enquiry.. the excel sheet(s) used to calculate the results, do they still exist Rotwang? I was thinking that was the really time consuming part...(??!) Of course if more votes are placed more releases is needed to be added, but only if it is real success (many people voting) will that mean many more releases (my guess)... so maybe it makes sense to open/continue the same vote and collect for a year or so?! The excel sheet could be continuously updated release-wise, maybe a google document that the mods can edit!? Just an idea...

It's a Gnumeric spreadsheet rather than Excel, but yes.

Yes, it took way longer than I thought it would. Frankly if I were to do another poll I wouldn't use a spreadsheet. I'd knock something together in Python instead.

Oh I see... maybe it would easer to make a discogs account, add the releases in there and finally when judgement day arrives just export the data and add the votes... the only data that would be missing is the release country which frankly is of very little importance.

I have now knocked something together in Python. If enough people want the poll reopened I'm willing to count votes again, since it should be considerably easier now.

Personally, I wouldn't expect to receive significantly more votes if we do reopen it.

Oh I don't know, feels like Psynews has picked up a bit recently, don't you think?
