The Glade Festival is back, revolutionised and stripped back to it’s shiny grass roots. Taking place at a brand new as yet undiscolosed venue this year’s festival will feature all of your favourite Glade touches alongside a whole load more. We’ve lost a couple of Arenas, but in return we’ve got more to announce. In the lead up to the full line up announcement on Friday as the natives have been getting restless on the forums and Facebook page we’ve decided to announce headliners from Origin, Overkill and InSpiral Lounge.

Organiser Anselm Guise explains:

‘The plan had been to announce the Glade Stage and the other stages together but we're not able to fully announce one particular headliner yet and we know that you are itching for info!!! So... today... We give you... The lineups (so far) on Origin, Overkill and InSpiral..

Glade Stage will be announced on Friday and you're just gonna have to wait for that... ;-)

Big love to you all xx’

  • 1 month later...

Just over 9 weeks to go until the summer begins with a glorious bang. The Glade Festival, as you really should know by now, is returning to its wonderful roots back in the rural English countryside…

The Phoenix is landing in Bedfordshire – centrally located so it’s easy to get to from most of the country.

NEW STUFF

There are whole load of new things happening this year.

BETA – Brought to you by Bristol’s Motion based Team Love and London’s Mixcloud / Man Make Music. A brand new party tent showcasing forward thinking producers of underground dance music from right across the spectrum. House to hip-hop, boogie to broken beat, disco to dubstep, drum-n-bass to future garage…

And the NANO SYSTEMS… Little happenings…

ETA – The killer London party outfit come to the Glade with their techno funk vibes…

THE FUSE – A new psy trance stage. Hosted by Liquid, Illuminaughty, Planet Shroom, Wildthings, Planet Zogg and Toadstool. Representing the UK’s local party scene in the north, west and south east.

GOURANGA - One of the most popular underground parties in London. A party atmosphere that takes inspiration from the Detroit of the early 90s where the music policy is always underground. Always Techno.

THE BASSMENT – A tent for the Bass driven tunes… Drum-n-Bass, Dubstep, Basslines, Breaks and all the rest. Sizzle in the Bassment… Hosted by Beats & Bobs, Rinseout and more…

DANCE-OFF SALOON - Expect moonshine drinking, piano playing, trash talking and impromptu bar brawls, complete with theatrical bottles to smash over anyone who looks at you funny… Over the weekend let your hair down with high-spirited line dances, score settling limb slinging, and the occasional gunfight. Cowboys & girls can show off their lasso skills, brave the bucking bronco and defend their good names with pistols at dawn…

LZRDM - (pronounced `Laser Dome`) it contains 40 individually controlled 3-colour laser modules. Their position and colour is individually computer-controlled – creating an intense and entrancing effect on you all once the phase transition is underway! The `laser dance` is also known to cause endogenous hyper-emotional ebullition from participants – a side effect that has not yet been fully researched! Ooooooooooh…

THE TIME MACHINE – Play video games, trigger drum machines with your feet and manipulate projected visuals as you dance to DJs. Flying forwards and backwards through time has never been more fun…

And there’s more to find when you come… Games, Roller Discos, Tenpin Bowling, Zorbing and more.

THE SANCTUARY - Healing in the Glade…. come to rebalance, recharge and rejuvenate. Yoga, Massage, Reiki… Therapies that will align you. The Sanctuary. Well Being.

BOUTIQUE CAMPING - Glade Festival 2011 Boutique Camping is now on sale!

Arrive at the Glade, and be greeted by boutique barrow boys, who are on hand to take your luggage. Once booked in by our receptionists, you have just a moments stroll you’re your premium accommodation and straight into the heart of the festival. Click HERE for more details.

Facilities include toilets and showers for your exclusive use.

Tipis, Yurts, Hotel Bell Tents, Squirts and Beryl the Bus…
