Guest stefan Posted July 16, 2003 Share Posted July 16, 2003 So, if you had a friend who needed convincing of the sheer power of goa/psy trance and had to knock together an 80 minute CD to do it, what would you include? I had a provisional list of tracks that I wanted to include from pleiadians, IM, hallucinogen, logic bomb, astral projection, astrix, alien project, etnica, talamasca, dark soho and ticon, but still can only narrow it down to around 30 tracks. I want this to be floor fiiling stuff like taygeta from pleiadians with the odd melodic IM/halluc type track. Any advice would be VERY welcome. Cheers. Stefan "Roads? After some analyzing I found that what truly made goatrance an unique style was the fact that this is the ONLY (danceable) music genre I know of which plays with emotions, ranging from dark to happy. Freeform hardcore is one, as some releases are dark, gabber-style tracks, while others are upbeat hardcore trance. techno is the same...etc...etc... maybe if you're talking about within the same track, like a dark lead-in, euphoric melody, etc... but even then, other styles do the same thing.
