We make it our business to bring you innovative and ground breaking line-ups. So look no further than this week, the finest trance with that ‘psy’ edge to keep it interesting! Give a warm Gallery welcome to ASTRAL PROJECTION. Avi Nissim and Lior Perlmutter have been around since 1993, coming to London town to showcase their cutting edge sound. Joining them is JOHN 00 FLEMING, one of trance’s favourite sons. No rest for Mr Fleming as he takes to the decks again with producer Ricky Smith, under their 00DB alias. The live shows just HAVE to be seen! Mr ASKEW and THE VICEROY bring the curtain down on the party.

‘Astral Projection’ is outlined by the Oxford English dictionary as ‘an out of body experience.’ In terms of the Israeli duo, their music can also be compared to the definition status quo. Responsible for bringing Goa trance to the masses – when the genre was still in its infancy. Their sound has been refined and tweaked over many years, to now encompass what is good and great about electronic music. A sharp, cutting edge approach which has succeeded to blur the boundaries of mainstream and underground. Tunes with that ‘psy’ edge that serve to bring together all lovers of trance, to dance in harmony together! With the world renowned Gallery lasers, production, sound and visuals – make sure you don’t miss the Astral magic!

John 00 Flemming is a ubiquitous character, with gigs that spanned Canada, Russia, Belgium, Poland, Australia, and Bali this Summer. Having re-invented his sound with a more cutting edge, psychedelic sound, J00F’s resolve not to ‘pigeon hole’ himself – has only increased the affinity with fans. Flemming quite simply plays the music he likes. A passion reflected by an exuberance behind the decks – that never fails to rub off on the crowd! One thinks the title of latest single ‘New Beginning,’ is a firm statement of intent, a sign of the new direction that J00F is taking the scene. The tune itself mirrors this, hypnotic and airy – with progressive and ‘psy’ inferences. With the ‘Global Trance Grooves’ radio show growing from strength to strength – and a July launch of the groundbreaking ‘Editions’ tour, the scene is set perfectly for J00F to steal the Gallery show.

Together with ‘Digital Blonde’ (or Ricky Smith to his friends), J00F returns to the DJ booth as ‘00DB.’ Riding high on their 2009 success, the second part of their album ‘Heaven & Hell’ was released on a double CD & USB stick. Who can forget their remake of Jean Michel Jarre’s classic ‘Oxygene’ and now we see more breathless productions. ‘Sunburn’ was inspired by their live performance at India’s Sunburn festival, making the single shortly after the plane landed back home! Solamata takes things dark with a haunting progressive monster! Expect more of the same to rock the dancefloor on Friday!

Gallery residencies are not offered to any DJ, meaning John Askew must be hot property. His ‘tech trance’ style is the foundation for productions, recently working on lots of new material - including a remix for Activa, plus singles for John O Callaghan’s ‘Subculture’ and ‘Aly & Fila’s’ imprint . Askew also excels in his sets, with wizardry behind the decks. He has a knack of creating those classic ‘reach for the laser’ moments – with tunes not necessarily considered classic anthems. But the ultimate judge is the crowd. With the dancefloor always hanging attentively on every beat, Askew is without doubt a class act.

Head honcho TALL PAUL ventures next door for one of his legendary 103 outings, ably supported by rising star JASON CORTEZ and the charismatic J JOY. With house of this calibre, it will be melting hot stuff indeed!
