You quoted me and Orm, you know (i think) Ormions reply was about the Israli 10 years of VA and not the Cup of tea one?

You know what? That means we were right, and Orm was wrong!

I troll. :P

In my opinion Opus Iridium is up there. CD2 could have been better though. But CD1, oh man, Filteria, Shakta, E-mantra, Artifact303 wow.

It'd be nice to see another Opus Iridium kind of release from Suntrip.

Pre-2000 though, I don't know, gotta think about it.

First I have to point out I almost never buy compilations. But there's one I think is pretty ok, and that is Bubbled Up On Dub which is kind of a psy-chill/downtempo compilation. (the album art is pretty cool too I think!)

Yeah, I'm pretty much sticking to collecting artist albums for the moment. Partly due to budget constraints, partly to preference.

I don't dislike the idea of compilation's as there's some things they can do that artist albums cannot.

how on earth could one forget...

VA / PSY-HARMONICS VOL.3 - HACKING THE REALITY MYTH

Just took it out of shelf and not a single bad track on it, quite the opposite really. When it comes to aussie goa trance there's no comparison.

Anyways, my all time favorite psy trance orientatd compilation is V/A The Truth Of Communication [ http://www.discogs.c.../release/141217 ], released in 1996 on Matsuri Productions.

Ahh I just bought this one in a local second-hand shop for around 6 euros... Haven't been listing to it much yet but indeed a good first impression, nice!!!

But.... I think Boldly Audio, and The Mystery of the Thirteen Crystal Skulls will have to share Posted Image

No Tone Unstirred deserves a mention too Posted Image

great choices!!

Of new compilations I really can't find a match for Boldly Audio... a truly unique release!!!

I could add as my personal favorites:

Schizm

and for more nostagic reasons (probably the compilations I have heard the most times):

Destination Goa 4

and

IsrAliens 2 - Bizarro

My all time favorite oldskool compilation is definitely:

Goa Gil: Forest of the Saints, 1998.

http://www.discogs.com/Goa-Gil-Forest-Of-The-Saints/release/120687

I just could listen it over and over again..

this one seems to be credited by a lot of people online as a on-turner.

*In wish list

Well this is obviously gonna be hard with 800 compilations of goa trance... but I think I would pick Psy-Nergy, most other favorites just all have the same trax, but this one has unique ones and all absolute gems, it flows almost like a real album too. http://www.discogs.com/Various-Psy-Nergy/release/692146

Hey bwhale, how much does the rarity of this unimportant CD affects you when picking this up as your fav?
