Can I show you...

I've started a new series of drawings involving staining and burning paper. So far, I've used coffee, red wine, and paper burning with a heat gun. After the stains/burns dry/cool, I draw on top of them with ink and white charcoal. You should try it, too, as it's fun to see what weird structures appear. My plan is to have 8-10 of these weirdos to hang somewhere in town. We'll see.

Dayyyum fine as usual! I think the first one is my favorite. The third makes me think of a splattered, tripped out gecko, in a good way. A way that doesn't include the death of a trippy gecko. They eat annoying bugs, which is nice. Interesting concept, too, with the stains. Funny, I was just doodling around a stain on the back cover of a notebook the other day, it was fun and kinda organic. Almost as if I was growing a picture, rather than drawing it, from a random chaotic pattern. Interesting to see what comes out next, as I'm now letting some coffee dry in my sketchbook... :P

If I ever release an album I think I'll ask if I can use some of your work as the cover. If you would be so amazingly kind as to allow me to, that is. ;)

Thanks, dude! Just let me know when you release that album. I'd love to help out. :)

If you have a scanner, I'd like to see your drawing.

The first one is great! Really good work.. :)
