Dejavoo (Transient)

London-based live psy trance project Dejavoo is the project of Gibraltan-born DJ Kristian — also A&R of Transient Records — and DJ Kalimamboh — aka Plastic Vibe. One of the most popular live acts in London’s vibrant psy scene, these days they’re more often found at festivals abroad than in the UK.

Dejavoo are one of the live acts to watch out for in 2009. Since their first release on Alchemy Records on the Elsewhere compilation, the guys are slowly going from strength to strength. They’ve already performed in Brazil for the world famous Xxxperience parties, Ireland (Life Festival), Denmark (Middle Earth), Germany (Full Moon plus various club gigs), Slovakia and the UK’s massive Antiworld gigs, including a slot supporting Infected Mushroom at Brixton Academy, where they caused a massive sensation.

International super star DJ Christopher Lawrence is now taking an interest in psy trance and playing Dejavoo material, saying that the stuff had gone down a treat on the floor.

The March ’07 issue of DJ Magazine featured Dejavoo as one of the Fantastic Four to watch out for that month. Early 2007 the boys released their track ‘Screaming People’ on a Tsuyoshi Suzuki compilation ‘Matsuri Rhythm’ (Wayko). Other releases are also on Transient Records and a massive Brazilian release on Dj Feio’s (Xxperience) Backwash v/a on Wired Music Brazil, adding to their other releases on UK label PointZero and Alchemy Records. 2008 saw the release of their debut album ‘Future Shock’ on none other than Transient Recs, which has taken them to a new level. More recently they’ve finished remixes of Astrix’s ‘Incoming’, Eskimo’s ‘My Rave’ and Krunch’s ‘The Show’ and are currently working on new tracks with the likes of Nick Sentience, Chris Liberator and S Range

They’ve just headlined the awesome Party Proactive on 9 May: check out their latest interview here: http://www.harderfaster.net/?sid=a40...=12065&forumid=

Liquid Ross (Liquid Records)

Liquid Ross began DJing in 1998 at warehouse parties around South East Kent, UK, playing mainly trance, but soon began playing chilled grooves too. Ross began helping with the local warehouse scene, as well as hosting many chill-out Sundays. After travelling to India and South Africa Ross soon became inspired to put on outdoor psychedelic events.

In early 2000 Ross and friends formed the Liquid Connective, a party organisation and stable platform for local up and coming artists and performers to work on. Five years on Liquid has become huge with outdoor events gathering more than 4000 people and sell-out London nights, with little or no promotion.

As a DJ, Liquid Ross mainly plays full-on psy trance, but with a deep and funky touch. Being the leading A+R man for Liquid Records, you can always expect his arsenal of tunes to be some of the grooviest sounds around, and he most definitely knows how to keep the dancefloor alive.

Ross has played in front of thousands for many established promoters and organisations throughout the UK including Altered States, Alchemy Records, Antiworld, Baraka, Earthdance 2002 and 2003, ID Spiral, Karma, Liquid, Symbiosis, The Synergy Project, TIP World, Tribe of Frog, and The Warp Experience to name a few. Ross has also funked the dancefloor at many major festivals such as Glastonbury Festival, The Glade Festival, Wickerman Festival, Little Green Planet and Liquid Connective!

Internationally Ross has travelled to play in many countries including Finland, France, Egypt, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, South Africa and Tunisia. Ross has been a well known DJ in the UK and has shared the stage with some of the trance scenes most well respected artists including Bamboo Forest, Bio Tonic, Cosmosis, Earthling, Eat Static, Etnica, GMS, Hydrophonic, Ozric Tentacles, Prometheus, Raja Ram, Sesto Sento, S-Range, SUN Project, System 7, Tristan, and X Dream to name a few.

Pan (Up Records)

Pan’s first taste of psy trance was back in 1997, at a massive party on a cliff overlooking the sea on the island of Ibiza. From there pretty much everything changed.

Pan started DJing professionally in 1999. It started off with buying stacks of euphoric trance, Gatecrasher style, which was sweeping the world at the time. He still has all those tunes, and will never get rid of them. These days though, he plays progressive and psy trance and pretty much nothing else. His collection of tunes runs from progressive trance to club trance, underground trance and full-on psy trance.

Pan can comfortably play a mean set at a club, an outdoor festival, a small bar or a huge rave; such is the scope of his music. Whether it’s progressive or full-on, the music will always be high quality, never cheesy and always having it, dancey tunes. He’s played alongside such DJs as Absolum, Mr. Peculiar, Oakenfold, I.O.S., Electric Universe, A.S.Y.S, Space tribe, Astrix, Infected Mushroom, Timo Mass, Lange, Dave Lea, Deepsky, Tiesto and many more. His sets are always entertaining, fun and full of surprises... as no one likes a DJ that just stands there.

He has played in Sydney, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Ibiza, Bern, New Zealand, and stacks of other places. Lately Pan has been playing around the world at festivals and Parties — strictly psy trance, but showing up on flyers at some of the most unlikely places. He played having-it psy trance sets at both Slinky and Gatecrasher on Boracay Island in the Philippines.

In addition to DJ’ing, he has also done wicked decor installations for parties such as Gatecrasher, Slinky, Godskitchen and Big Day Out Australia.

Andy Forse

Having evolved from the roots of hard house and promoting the infamous Milk parties the 414, Andy has begun to earn regular appearances DJ’ing on the London scene.

After impressing the promoters of one of London's most popular underground trance parties — Planet Angel — with a unique demo and outstanding debut performance in early 2008, he was asked back immediately to play for their next party, an achievement previously unrivaled by any other Planet Angel DJ.

Since then promoters and party-goers have been watching intensely as he carves a respected name for himself, seizing a residency at Magnetix, playing in the main room at Party Proactive and becoming recognised for his musical versatility.

Andy plays a variety of psychedelic sounds, adapting his style to suit the occasion: progressive, morning, and full on squat party pandemonium, he has appeared alongside artists such as Man with No Name, Sinewave, Laughing Buddha and Dejavoo and continues to push himself to the forefront of the London party scene. The users of Harderfaster.net recently awarded him their 2008 up and Coming DJ award, a sure sign of things to come.

VJ Baby K (Psychedelic Academy, Psytribe)

A Relative newcomer to VJing, Baby K has nevertheless been involved in audio visual production for years and is now blowing away party goers with her weird mix of Psychedlic and mesmerizing shows.

She recently played an amazing twisted set for Talamasca, Alien Project and Solar System at Psychedelic Academy at the Fridge and is in demand from both Clubs, festivals and squat parties alike. Her unique combination of a totally warped imagination and a stunning aray of visuals will keep you entertained well through the night
