One of the first nightmares I can remember having is me in the spaceship in the corridors hiding from a big ass drooling dark Alien roaming around looking for fresh flesh. Aliens 9.8/10 Best movie for me because of the intense suspense. It's a strong movie! And the 25 minutes extra Directers Cut is a must to see if you like Alien's. Alien 3 7.9/10 From horror, to action and now we get a Thriller! Cool. Alien: Resurrection 7.4/10 Modern blockbuster. AvP 7.2/10 Fun underground, and really kool to see these two in the same flick. With low expectations this one works more then Ok. AvP2: 5/10 wtf. Why? Why like this? A couple of badass scenes that kind of balances on the tabo side of things doesnt do it. This movie is a shame. So, I decided to watch a little while if it was good and what do you know, watched the whole thing. It was a really sad, touching film and done extremely well. IMDB plot synopsis: "The true story of Ivan Sanchin, the KGB officer who was Stalin's private film projectionist from 1939 until the dictator's death. Told from Sanchin's view, the sympathetic but tragically flawed hero maintains unwavering faith in his "Master" despite the arrest of his neighbors and his involvement with their daughter, his wife's affair with the chilling State Security chief Lavrentii Beria and her tragic decline, and the deadly political machinations within the Kremlin he witnesses firsthand. Written by Martin H. Booda " Movies like these you won't ever hear about, which is sad because it's a very good one. Easily the best vampire movie I've seen. +1 It's very good for a horror movie. The gloomy Scandinavian winter makes for a great setting. Ormion Posted May 10, 2009 Author Share Posted May 10, 2009 The Ninth Gate Second Polanski's movie I watched in a row. Actually I have watched Ninth Gate 2 other times before that. And although I was remember it very well I wanted to watch it again. I guess it's the Polanski's flawless direction, the atmosphere, the soundtrack, the photography, the acting (Depp is great here), but most of all it's the whole suspense of the story. The plot has huge holes, but at the end a story about rare books, demonology, sects, hellgates etc. is very exciting. I damn like this movie. A lot! 9/10 Star Trek The new one. Well I'm not a trekkie so I don't know is this was a good or a bad attempt to create a new ST universe. What I know is that the movie was huge fun! Superb CGI (and I mean SUPERB), great action sequences, decent story (many holes in here too though), cool actors and nice direction. I was dissepointed that he didn't end up as a sperm on the floor.Obviously, without even having seen this movie but allowing my sense of logic to function, if he had ended up as a drop of sperm on the floor, he wouldn't have been born at all. Just Tom Hanks running from church to church to find ridiculous clues. No supsense and a bad ending. 4/10 La Antena Style over substance. Great editing, amazing ideas. Every shot is a surprise. The story though was very slow and unnecessary long and I don't think I have the energy to watch it for second time. 4/10 Push Movie similar to Jumper. Boring. Shitty plot, crappy action sequences. The low budget is not an excuse. Some cool powers though. 4/10 The Spirit Something like a parody of Sin City. Stylistically is very interesting, the movie is weird though. And not good weird. 5/10 My Name Is Bruce Comedy horror with the CultMan Bruce Campell. Funny one liners and the face of Bruce. Needs more splatter though. 6/10 Slumdog Millionaire Good but why so many Oscars? It was...cheesy. 6/10 Transformers - Revenge Of The Fallen Great FX, bad in everything else. Just forget the Transformers in the title and enjoy the CGI. 6/10 Marley & Me Typical Hollywood dramedy. Dog lovers like myself will dig it. 7/10 Lock Up Classic Sly 80's film. 7/10 Religulous Very nice comedy documentary about religions and their sheep. The guy who present it though looks like a douchebag. 7/10 Thank You For Smoking Nice satire. Aaron Eckhart kicks ass. 7/10 The Day After Tomorrow Scientifically ridiculous, but it's a Hollywood disaster movie. Nice one. 7/10 The Hangover Very funny, but not the funniest comedy. 7/10 Battle Royale That's the stuff! 8/10 Bolt Very good, not Pixar quality though. 7.5/10 The International That was good! Normally I don't like poltic thrillers, but that was interesting. No overcomplicated plot here, very nice direction and nice actors. I always hated Clive Owen but he's really good here and Naomi Watts is hot as hell. 8/10 Valkyrie Another very good movie. Although the ending was known the movie has a lot of suspense. Tom Cruise was very good too. 8/10 Bruno Hystericall funny! Not as critical as Borat, but pure fun! 9/10 The Wrestler Fantastic movie! Normally I dislike this kind of movies, but that was great. Melancholic and realistic. Mickey Rourke owns everything. 9/10 Three O'Clock High The best school comedy ever. 10/10 Plus I rewatched all the Harry Potter till the fifth one. You know what? I like them. They are very nice fantasy adventures aimed for everyone. The first two are more childish/family orientated thanks to Chris Colombus and the books I presume. Parts 3, 4 and 5 are darker. Are they good adaptations? I dunno, I've never read the books, possibly that's why I like them. I can't be dissapointed. My favorites are The Prisoner Of Azkaban and The Goblet Of Fire. Everything is awesome, especially Snatch... You are just being a troll aren't you? Rating the greatest movie of all time (Pulp Fiction) 7, is forgiveable.... But when you give White Chicks the same score :lol: Terry Crews saved the movie for me, and it was OK and funny and all.. Maybe deserves a 7, judging after your taste and humour... White Chicks was quite a funny comedy. Mortal Combat and Snatch are 2 that I admit should probably be reduced since they both suck as far as I remembered.
