Agneton Posted January 18, 2007 Share Posted January 18, 2007 I know the name, they were kinda part of the local Hypnotic/Cleopatra records group, among others like Color Box, Bypass Unit & Psygone. He released an album called Cinnamon on Hypnotic (http://www.discogs.com/release/236600) which I never heard, but discogs labels it as Acid Trance, so I don't think we're speaking about Goa here... His track 'Blue' was released on Goa Head 4 and the World Of Goa Trance, so it seems he had a slight success with that one, although the track is very short... Blue is a fantastic track, really, really unique. The stuff on cinnamon is kindof Goaish acid or Acidish Goa. Penguin is also a very good track, more on the Goa side. It never really stood out for me as much as Colorbox, Bypass Unit and Psygone. I also remember a Hyperion track that was really cool. Did he/they ever release anything? There was even a super-cool KURO track on one of the comps. Hypnotic had a very cool thing going there. Too bad the label was so corrupt. I have a couple nice Hyperion trax (ocean of light and Sunflower), and a bit of Psygone. Very good stuff, I miss all them. Corrupt in what sense? Corrupt in what sense? I would love to hear those Hyperion tracks if you don't mind. Hypnotic was corrupt in several ways. For one, they had some very talented artists under them, but instead of marketing their artists individually they put out a ton of crap compilations, often mixed, to attempt to make a buck. Also, I learned from Kenneth of Colorbox that the label stiffed them on royalties, which was hard for him, apparently, and made him stay away from music for a while (although his brother kept making music with Bypass Unit) - which is a damn shame if you ask me since the Colorbox album was so good. You mean Kuro's Plastomer 1 from "The World of Goa Trance" (vol.1)? hehe, guess, from where i got my alias.. used it since '98 already. On the same comp. is also one Donut Junkie track called Pseudo-Acoustic, but i like the last track the most..
