RTP Posted November 26, 2006 Author Share Posted November 26, 2006 There are some previews from the upcoming album on Fake Science's pod cast:  http://us1.fakescience.com/labreport.php  The previews are great! 649973[/snapback] *downloading* hey, that's 20 minutes of music ... cool finally some serious album preview, not such a shortie as the teaser on their site ... when hearing this one can definitely gain some good impression of the new album.  hmmm ... what can I say ... to me it sounds somewhat a bit more polished than their first album ... but fortunately the acidness of their sound isn't gone, you can still recognize that it's Carbon Based Lifeforms, with their typical calm organic and even a bit melancholic floating scandinavian ambient  thanks a lot for the link   EDIT: HEY, now I know it where I know that melody! The calm background synth melody in the first track - this quiet ascending "daaaaa-daaaaa-daaaaa" (beginning at 1:24 of the file) - it's EXACTLY the same tones as they are in Arcana's song "The Last Embrace"!
