My favourites this year so far have been Oxycanta - Beautiful soft dreamy ambient Downbeat Liquid vol 1 - Some of the best downbeat tracks I've heard in ages Slackbaba - ...and the beat goes om - Excellent dubby beat & trippy atmospheres Androcell - Efflorescence - Have just kept playing this one all year Ka-Sol - Fairytail - Dark & fast, I didn't like it at first but it really grew on me Jikkenteki - The Long Walk Home - Both CDs are pure brilliance, one of my favourite albums ever Fuzzion - Black Magic - Sounds like psy mixed with dark 80's punk. exotic Posted October 13, 2006 Share Posted October 13, 2006 I agree with most of the albums and compilations mentioned here but how could you guys forget triac - mean between ,.. its wonderfully put together and doesnt sound like anything else out there .. maybe i've missed some tech from the past but this album is right up there in 2006. Others are ka-sol , vibrasphere, lord of the liverdance and quasar I still havent heard ocelots new but im quite certain its going to figure in one of the lists. Some of my personal favourites untill now: VA - Psy Stories 2, Parvati Records Pitch Hikers - Twilight Zone, Nexus Media Quasar - One Day, Mistress of Evil Records VA - The Night Tribe, Vertigo Records darkpsy and twilight psy, didn't get the chance to listen to prog or full on this year.
