I hear you, 2006 is crap so far. Let's hope that Twisted manages to release the Koxbox and Prometheus albums on time. Yeah, I know, it's not very likely that will happen...

Since Ian Ion left Koxbox i stopped expecting anything beyond average from Koxbox. And the Prometheus album will probably see the light only next year. So yea. The only thing we can expect is the worst, IM's Vicious Delicious album that will break the cheese records that the IM the supersizer set 2 years ago.

I can count on my one hand all the psychedelic psy trance releases of 2006.

Sorry to hear that you've only got one hand. I've always imagined you as a two-handed person, so quick on the keyboard.

I lost my second hand in the previous Psynews war.

Feel the men in my avatar staring at you! And let this be the punishment for your irresponsible behaviour.

C)Forget about cd sales, you cant even imagine on what a crisis the psy trance scene is at the moment, and everyday, and i mean EVERYDAY,the situation gets worst and worst.

DETOX u forgot to write WHY in your opinion there is crisis about cd sales.

is it cause of p2p programs? maybe a poor quality nowdays? or something else?

if yr answer goes to 1st choice, maybes yes maybe no..cause this isn't something new..

i will remind u Napster and Audiogalaxy programs from past (if i remember well since 1999) of course it's problem for sales but not the mainly imo.

so imo faults mostly the poor music quality nowdays.

just look to israeli scene..all projects sounds almost the same

no fresh ideas just the same formula's and some stupid non inspired samples.

french scene is better but in crisis too..(just look the abjection from 3d vision records)

german scene is far better than the 2 above now but compared with past they are just the shadow of themeselves.

if u have some other explanation (about crisis in cd sales) i would like to hear u.

Rezwalker the reason why the sales are so low in our days is offtopic in this thread plus i have discussed them many times in the past in various others threads.

More or less we all know anyway why people dont buy cds anymore, little bit of internet downloading, little bit of lack of money, little bit of bad music flooding the market, little bit of too many labels around and lack of demand...

Who is Marx??

"Karl Heinrich Marx (May 5, 1818, Trier, Germany – March 14, 1883, London) was an immensely influential German philosopher, political economist, and socialist revolutionary. While Marx addressed a wide range of issues, he is most famous for his analysis of history in terms of class struggles, summed up in the opening line of the introduction to the Communist Manifesto: 'The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles.'"

Well, Koxbox came out on (or ahead of) time I think... I hate to be "that guy" but I've never been so disapointet by an ablum - hm, besides Ms Kittin & The Hacker. Awfull. When I opened U-Turn I expected nothing but greatness, many tracks co-written with people like Eat Static, Transwave, Mino, ... Must be good. But it's not. Koxbox was never following the time's spirit. They used to be well ahead. No more. Crap.

And so I have no expectations for new Transwave stuff. Sadly.

Great news! :)

Anything released from Transwave is something to look forward to :)

538388[/snapback]

At first I thought, like Pleiadians?...but Transwave was originally two artists that actually reunited UNLIKE Pleiadians who have stayed split and haven't impressed since traxx like Head Spin and Meter got my panties wet in F.O.L. ;)

CONCERNING THE "GREATEST CLASSIC HITS" ALBUM.

That sounds cool, although I like many people own their previous albums. It's great for those unable to buy some of their most superb songs on one album. I'd love to hear several songs that were excellent goatrance songs by Transwave NOT on their main albums if that's possible...but if indeed it's a comp of their best songs from the old days.... TRASHISH ... MALAKA DANCE ... LAND of FREEDOM are three for starters... although I've heard those songs (especially LOF) dozens of times so I'm not excited to buy something I already own unless there's great stuff I haven't heard on it.

It would be great to hear some other old (from comps, singles, unreleased) tracks not on their main albums to give old fans an excuse to pick up the Transwave comp... that is, if they have other awesome songs. Maybe a double album sounds like a good idea?? One disk could be greatest hits (their best released work) while the second disk could be their coolest older unreleased stuff and good stuff NOT found on their main albums. I never heard exclusive songs for comps only and unreleased tracks by them so I'd be more interested in those. Like most people out there... I've heard their three main albums, hence the double album idea if they release a comp of their best work. Just a thought. B)

CONCERNING THE NEW ALBUM:

A BIT CAUTIOUS AND EXCITED ALL AT ONCE. It DOESN'T NEED TO BE FULL ON TO BE AWESOME DANCEABLE NEW SKOOL PSY/GOA TRANCE. REMEMBER THAT. I HOPE IT'S SOMETHING INNOVATIVE, NOVEL, FRESH, DARK and LIGHT, EXCITING, INTERESTING, IMAGINATIVE, AMBITIOUS, FUN...AND CATCHY(!!!!)

I'm thinking positively... a little cautious still but hopefully they'll go beyond these Full On artists and create something really inventive and ground setting. They have the opportunity to really change things in the trance/psytrance genre if they aim for it.. They already have a name so many people love and admire... I'd love to see them do something stunning with it, then they'll be bigger and more important than ever.

:)B) TRANSWAVE!!!!!!! :);)B)

As i know from valid source the upcoming best of "backfire" it is DOUBLE cd! and contains their best tracks with NEW mastering, some hard to find tracks, and some unreleased tracks (dunno how much unreleased) but i allready know 1! as i allready have write in my previews post...get ready for a MASTERPIECE unreleased track named "Bombay night"

(11 minutes track) for those who didn't hear yet the specific track, imo they will feel a trully shock..personally i still wonder how is it possible this track was unreleased so many years!
