I am dying to put my hands on an eventide unit

though there is none around :(

I lucked out with my Eventide unit. Its an older one I used to crave back in my serious guitar days, but even today it usually sells used for over $1000 USD here in Japan. I was visiting the local "used everything" shop one day and found one in the junk section for $320. The people at the store obviously didn't know how to use it because they said one of the buttons didn't work, but when I go home everything worked perfectly (said button only works when there is a menu option for it to select, otherwise it does nothing because there is nothing for it to do). I should use it more actually, but the flangers are to die for.

The eventide is really amazing, the reverbs are to die for & it can also do some insane fx. To really get the best out of it though you need to be using it in a surround 5.1 setup. So far i'm only using it in stereo & have barely scratched the surface with it, but it is indeed a beast!

@ needle ninja

Congrats on the monitor, i'm planning on getting another one once i can afford it!

guess I'm the only one with Yamaha monitors...? ;)

PS gear list:

monitors: Yamaha HS 50M

headphones: Senheiser HD205

keyboard: M-Audio Axiom49

sound card: Behringer F-Control Audio FCA202

software: Reason 4

... kindof basic I know but for the moment I'm just fooling around in my bedroom so it's enough... will probably invest in some more gear when/if I decide to produce music professionaly :)
