Q: Can you tell me a little about yourself to get to know you better ?

A: I am 25 years old, currently living in Jerusalem Israel and working as a sound engineer but my main interest in life is music.

Q: Why did you choose the name Hujaboy for one of your projects ?

A: Cause wonderboy and yonderboy were already taken.

Q: How did you discover trance, and what influenced you to start producing this genre of music ?

A: Back in 1992 I went to a party at a place called Givat olga dj Miko was playing. A small piece of paper with a little bannana on it did the rest. I have started producing about 4.5 years later, music has always played an important part in my life. My motivation was actually an addiction to trance and deep love for this genre.

Q: Do you listen to other styles of music besides trance? Anything out there you'd like to reccomend ?

A: Yes, I love Leftfield, Orbital, Depeche Mode ,Alice In Chains I recommend all of them.

Q: What equipment are you using ?

A: I am using a PC with a Creamware power sampler card, Cubase-5, Wave lab 3.1, Vaz modular and lots o' pluginz.

Q: Do you play DJ sets ? Can you tell us your current favourite tracks ?

A: Yes I do play Dj sets almost every week. My favs are :

1-Atmos-Random landlord

2-Hujaboy-Champ n' check

3-O'cheese-InSpectre

Q: Any best/worst party experiences, both in and out of Israel ?

A: Worst party experiences were :

1-The first police raid on party in Israel it was in Ramat gan at the Impulse club a friend of my got arrested and lots of people got bad trips.

2- X-mas in the bamboo forest 95 bad bAD BBBBAAADD FLIP.

Best parties, I have loads of them but one of the very best was a few days after the x-mas incident at Arambol beach in goa. I think Rictam and Banzi played there. It was on a beutifull hill, on one side was the sea and on the other was a forest.

Q: Are you going to be releasing an album in the near future? Any exciting collaborations (like the Gorlation Corporation one) we should look forward to ?

A: Well, I am working on my album. I have made about 20 new tracks and it is so much fun doing it. I believe when I will get to 30 tracks then I will pick the best for the album. I am also working with my Brother Tal on an electro project that is called O'cheese, the first track will be released on Hadsot Haheizar compilation "The devil is a DJ". And a video clip for a Hujaboy track.

Q: Do you feel a good computer + software is in itself enough to produce good music, and if a guy is hard working and skilled - he can do a lot with just this (and a lot of plugins). How necessary is hardware in todays music ?

A: Well I am using only a computer an software, I think it's enough if you are hard working and don't have the money to buy equipment. The best way in my opinion is to use both, because the technology is not quite there yet there is still a gap between software synths "fatness" and hardware. To get the hardware sound through software, you have to work hard very hard.

Q: And lastly, how do you feel about the trance scene in Israel and wordlwide, and the progression of electronic music in general ?

A: In the last year trance in Israel came back to the underground which I think is great. cause it took the fucking police of our backs and the kinda people that come to parties are much nicer. Regarding the progression of music, a great thing is happening because until a year ago I was sure everything is stuck, but when trance has started crossing over with House, Dub, Techno it has progressed a bit which I think is lots of fun.
