Review:

Ok, I am going to be as open minded about this as I can. I will just say

that if you love the mix on Distance To Goa 8 by Joti Sidhu as much as I do

then you will love thi compilation.

I won't go track by track. This is a compilation of very dark and twisted

night music. I love this compilation, a great find. If you like your music

so full on it blows your mind, you will like it. The best tracks for me

were:

cd 1: 1, 2, 4, 8, 9 and cd 2: 1, 2, 4, 5, 9. The rest are great but those I

have mentioned are unbelievable. Enjoy!

15/10!!

Old, old goa tracks, nothing new in here... But Aztec - Breathing ocean, that

felt good to hear it again, after the first single cell album from Atomic, a

true classic.

Twisted and demented compilation...It looks promising when you look at it but

when you play it, it is different story...I don't like 4 songs from it, 4 are

average but the rest is good and that is : OUTER BREATH, ACIDICA,

ELECTROENCEPHALOTRAMME, OM SHIVA, RETOX, DARK HORSE, CRITICAL MASS, HYPNOTONE

( great ambient rebuilt by Cydonia )...7/10

15 years.

That's an awkward teenager with no rhythm getting her learner's permit. Perhaps a dog enjoying his golden years. A compilation that old that has tracks that still sound great is one you should own. Don't go hooking up the bong, cause I ain't the one to blow smoke up your ass and tell you that this is a classic. It's not. But there are some gems found here. It's dark and raw psytrance from a time when goa was in the rear view. Big Balls from Semsis has just that and Darkling Baby from Noise (aka Wizzy) is straight forward pounding psytrance. Om Shiva from legendary Tim Schuldt is a gothic stomper as well.

April Fool's from Cydonia is like a soundtrack to the torture movie Saw, dark and full of despair and angst. Not their best work, but there just is no reasoning with a psychotic like that. And lest you think there isn't any goa to be found MWNN brings Retox to make sure you didn't forget. I really liked Dark Horse as well for its psychedelic intensity. The rest of the tracks delve into a darker tech-trance direction that weren't great, but weren't terrible. Take 'em or leave 'em.

It's a worthwhile addition to you collection if you don't have it and you can get it on Discogs for almost less than whatever the f*ck Starbucks sells.
