Review:

This is Space Tribe?s best album. I never expected that Olli could write

tracks like that. Excellent drums and precursors and vocals in many

tracks. The rhythm is so good and the samples that he uses are so

trippy that when you insert this cd to your player you cant get in out

unlit it finish. The only track I hate is 6 because of the extension of

its vocals.

The best tracks are 2, 3, 4, 5.Not to forget that this cd contains an

diary for the year 2000.Excellent package as always?8/10

Plenty of twisted psychedelia, but all this stuff has been done before. Get it

if you haven't bought many other psy-trance records in the last few years;

otherwise, listen to them instead. So Deep is the best track, IMHO, but I

wouldn't play it unless the crowd had never likely heard decent trance before.

The word I'm looking for here is "derivative". Not bad, just not new.

Everyone i know who has heard this, including me, think that it sounds a little

too simple and unfinished. Yeah the samoples and sounds are there, but it

seems somewhat basic in structure, and those drums loops are too static in

their aural appearance. Definately more earthy than his past efforts thogh

which is good. 1 And 6 thumbs up but all up only 4/10

Oh yes - yes yes yes. This is the sound of trance at the end of one Millennium

and the beginning of the new one and when it sounds as good as this - nothing

else matters. From the majestic opening track ?Out There In The Universe?

this music kicks off big time and keeps up the frenetic pace. Think of losing

it completely on the dance floor, think of adrenalin going, think Space Tribe.

Olli has always hinted at how good he could be, but this is the peak for

Space Tribe. Dare I sound cynical and suggest how they can even hope to

improve on this. This is Space Tribe fully grown up - gone are the

nonsensical samples which were fun at the time, but the stuff here goes so

deep as they admit themselves. Buy this, get fluored up and dance!!!!

What a surprise !!! I would never think Space Tribe could make such an album !

I don't have other Space Tribe albums, but the Tracks I heard from this group

in comps didn't really make it for me ... all that I can say is that the

Tracks of this album are

better than the ones I heard ! I don't think there's any Bad Track on this

album, but I don't think there is awesome Tracks ... anyway, all Tracks are

interesting to listen to :-) Another album you can listen to in its entirety

without being bored ... Rating : 7.5/10

This stuff is super-heavy-high-quality-mind-banding psychedelic

material,although i got it just yesterday,i can't stop hearing this,espcially

tracks 3-4-5 which are the best, although 1 is amazing, and 2 has those creepy

vocals but is very well built.I didn't get 6-7-8 yet,but i need to get to know

this CD much better, and i hear it so much that soon i will know the exact

second that a certain sound should come...

In short this CD is ass kicking with hyper-twisted sounds and samples,Olli

Wisdom is indeed a master of sound. I infinitely recommend this CD,I can't say

what grade i give it from 1-10 because i don't know this well enough yet...

Yes, this is awesome stuff, powerful dance-trance. As someone said, this is

slightly basic in structure and straight forward. Because it has been mainly

leaving the chaotic parts out (little sound everywhere and a wall of

sound),while the basic structure is very good, it really doesn't matter. I

think this works fine as it is. It gives the album more clarity. And it's

still original in most parts. My favourite tracks are 2 and 6, but all the

rest are nearly as good. 8/10.

"Have I heard this before"?... That was the question I asked myself when I

first heard this album. Nothing new.

Okey, for those of you who havent heard there other _3_ albums this might be

good.

I usually don't fancy that much Space Tribe. But I see that the more I listen to

this album, the more I like it. Finally, i think my today opinion is the

definitive one.And it is positive. In this album, you can enjoy a huge and

beautifull kick that...kicks ass.Sometime, the melodies are missing, but it's

so powerful that it's OK, you still enjoy the quality of the music. But Olli

why didn't you add more melodies???that would have so excellent!!!anyway:best

track 2000 OD and 6/10

After graduating from the International School of Psychedelic trance, with

fellow graduates like Simon Posford, Raja Ram and Ofer Dikovsky, Olli Wisdom

has gained a lot of wisdom throughout the years.

His graduate program was: Sonic Mandala,The Ultraviolet Catastrophe,The

Future's Right Now and finally:2000 0.D His final paper was a very nice

work, with traces of the good old goahemian spirit. And the bass and snaredrum

does kick one in the sonic butt. The first song works

well for me and paves a pattern for rest of the cd-The title of the album could

have been better (no intention of being perky), but I'm sick of people surfing

on the 2000 (Milleium-)wave. But I still believe there are

things floating around in the universe,so Olli is surfing in his own Australian

way...

8/10-

"Whether you experience heaven or hell, remember...it's your mind which created them."

Well this was a lo-fi chunky affair wasn't it? While most other artists were making layered melodic goa (not in 99 I suppose) Olli was making whatever the hell this is. Metallic distorted sounds are rivaled in number only by the twisting of samples. I will give him high marks for the track evolution as there are many changes which give it some good depth. But even with the high level of psychedelia and variation I think it's missing lots of power and melody to put it on the shelf with the big boys. SOme of the tracks sounded like jumbles of noise. And he uses that guitar scrape on several tracks that makes my skull hurt.

Having said that I still like digging into some of it. Even the Electric Universe Meteor sound alike title track. And that cover.

Imagine swallowing a palette of watercolors and then chugging three pints before you hit the local McDonalds and wolfed down 2 Double Quarter Pounder Meals with fries. Right before you run a 5k.

Boom there's your cover. Planets, a deity, crystals, and an abundance of colors. Pretty much nailed the psychedelic cliche didn't he? Missed it? Head on over to his website and you can get a wardrobe to match to cover. Yeah it'll be great....wear it to your next job interview.
