Review:

A satisfyingly psychedelic, happy compilation. Plenty of twisted, interesting

sounds throughout, some very danceable beats, a sprinkling of intelligent

melodies and a real party flavour throughout. Difficult to pull out any

particular highlights, most of the tracks here are maybe 7's to 8's, but the

Bamboo Forest track is really EXCELLENT, one of those tracks that makes the

hairs on your neck stand up. There are so many changes within one track, all

of them compeling. I also love the Orion track, it just sort of noodles along

for about 5 minutes with a bit of wiggawiggawigga and some pseudo-industrial

psysounds and this hint of the panoramic soundscape to come. And when

eventually the factories and the strange insects disappear you realise you

have been on the slow part of a trains journey through the outskirts of a

massive alien city. And now suddenly you are rushing through the most

sensational countryside at boggling speeds, gasping in wonder - how did that

happen? Very nice crescendo. Possibly the greatest thing about this comp is

that there are no weak tracks on it, which is pretty rare. Incidentally, this

was the first thing I listened to when I got my portable MD, and it was a S P

E C T A C U L A R introduction. 8/10

Start to finish, this compilation oozes quality. It's a nice mixture of all

kinds of current psy-trance. Some Scando sounds, some more melodic sounds -- a

nice variety indeed. For the most part, this one chugs along at breakneck

speeds and the ride is a thriller. Highlights for me are "Fluffy Purple Thing"

(my alltime favorite track) and "Sqwark," but I agree there isn't a bad track

to be found. This is a fine release from Psychic Deli that will get inside

your mind and body. I always keep this CD close at hand...8.5/10

What a great comp!!! I too love the Orion track, the end is just AMAZING. The

beggining of the Tromesa track is like a revelation! I simple cannot believe

how good that (only just kiddies) melody is. However I think that they save

the best for last with the filthy beast track - now that is one PUMPING track,

and pretty much downright evil to boot. Again no real weak tracks, although

the first three and last two tracks seem to me to be the best on overall

listening.

This compilation is simply my all time favourite.. It's mindblowing and I don't

really feel that I can add something new about it because the fellows above

have already written some great reviews. In my opinion there are no weak track

at all on this comp. They are all pure killers!! Daaaaaamn I get orgasm after

orgasm!!! =)
