Review:

This album of MFG is really a great one.Nice tracks, good melodies and typic

israelian, The prophecy is nearly as good as New Kind Of World. It's a pleasure

to listen to the whole CD in one shot, but we can distinguish the best track,

illumination(really excellent).Nevertheless, we can see in this first album of

MFG that they was not perfectly skilled at this moment. We see that in the too

big contrast there is sometimes beetwen some sounds wich are not perfectly

suiting together.8/10

Hum, don't know what to say on this one... There are some great melodies (the

one in Illumination), but the sound is really to israeli for me, and it lacks

the skill of Astral Projection. I prefer the 2 other MFG Album New Kind of

World and Project Genesis.

Good CD :-) No Bad Tracks, 3 Favourites : Tracks 2,4,5 ! Pure MFG-style, much

more melodious than Project Genesis ! I really recommend anyone who don't have

them to buy this album and New Kind Of World :-) Rating : 7.5/10

One of the best trance cd's around. Still works as well as the

first day I heard it.The Symbiosis version of this cd has slightly different

track listing-"Maya Moon" and "space travel" replace "new horizon" and "mystic

dawn".

I like to dance and this music suits well for it. It's hard to pick any

favourites, but maybe it would be Magnetic Activity and Illumination. The

first three minutes of the Prophecy are very good also.

Their debut album, and they make quite a good entrance. As ?The Prophecy?

goes, ?One will come, voice from the outer world, which will cleanse the

universe and bring us out of darkness.? This album certainly brings me out of

the darkness. Variant coherence, coherent variation, any way you slice it,

the sonic goodness is here. And is that the voice of Lieutenant Commander

Data from Star Trek on track 2: Magnetic Activity? Nice touch. Very nicely

put together. They gotz skills. Thank you, may I have another? 9 out of 10.

I very much liked this album from the beginning. There was no need to listen to

it over and over again to understand it. This is probably because the songs

are melodious and energious. My favourites are The Prophecy (T1), Alternate

Dimension (T3) and Illumination (T5).

Easy to digest and nice to dance to.

Score: 8/10

I just got this album after been listening to "New kind of world". It is

certainly a cool album with lot af great morning tracks. Especially I find the

bassline very dynamic and full of life.

All tracks are great..I am exicited about their new release "The message"!

So, if you are into trance with lot af developed sounds and stomping basslines,

go check MFG out!!

VERY complicated album :P i own the Symbiosis version, with "Maya Moon" and

"Space Travel", which are excellent tracks! this sounds like early Astral

Projection, but only a lot better, more psychedelic. "Alternate Dimension" and

"Overload" are quite impressive. great melodies, wicked psychedelia... 9.5/10

This is a true classic in every perspective. I just got this at a local cdshop.

As goa is a no real big scene in Holland he wondered what cd he had in store.

He looked kinda suprised he got it. Anyway, as for the cd, pure 96 mayhem.

This goa is still my favourite stuff, melodic and soothing. ' Alternate

Dimension' is nice and so is every other track on this cd. Consistency-level

is very high here. I got New Kind Of World and really like this better, though

it's maybe less interesting productionally. It has more spirit i reckon :-)

Good for a first MFG cd. Some parts get VERY psychedelic, e.g., Illumination. Some songs are noticeable weaker than others. Track 8, for example is too drawn out, and quite uninspiring until the end. The album's PROS far out weight the CONS though. Tasty, psychedelic and easy to digest combinations of catchy, driving synth melodies and strong development make this debut a cult classic in Goa Trance! That said, their following THREE sequels are superior to The Prophecy IMO. Though to be fair, even The Prophecy has tracks that top a few songs off EVERY MFG sequel to date. Believe that. That said, MFG built on this AP-inspired style (that does many things of its own) debut. But they REALLY broke away with their sequels... the dark and edgy Project Genesis (!!), the elaborate and cosmic melody fusion New Kind of World (!!!), and the unique combining ideas from all three plus a few new tricks and a few less masterpiece tracks The Messenger (!).

8/10

This is so far the best MFG album. I admire every song on this disc and it

still makes me wild when I hear it.

A MUST HAVE ALBUM!

Overload! What a track. This CD is classic. It has a few wicked tracks and many

standout moments but also some weak ones. The whole CD has got that classic

melodic goa-trance sound. I don't think it's as Astral copy (like some have

said or implied). However, it does have a similar effect on the listener. It's

in the Astral genre, no doubt. If you only get one MFG CD, get New Kind of

World. If you get two or more, get this one too :)

This album is up there with essential Goa Trance albums of all time. It is the ultimate classic. MFG are with Astral Projection melodic masters from Israel and it shows. This album is one of the most psychedelic melodic works ever. This doesn't need longer review coz by now most of you know about it. ESSENTIAL !

Favourite tracks are : THE PROPHECY, MAGNETIC ACTIVITY, ALTERNATE DIMENSION, OVERLOAD,

ILLUMINATION, SHAPE THE FUTURE, MYSTIC DAWN....10/10

I can say that GOA is one of the best things on our Earth, and MFG is one of

the best - or it is the Best - GOA Live Act!I like or i would i love it

very-very much.I say that the Prophecy is the best album but the message is

the second.I like its style, and the harmonies which they use. The best tracks

on The Prophecy are: Magnetic Activity, Shape the Future, Mystic Dawn, Overload

i think this is a bad cd, but i don't like mfg much to begin with. overload is

ok, and so is new horizon, but i really don't like any of the other tracks,

some are just annoying. if you like asia 2001 and ultra-cheesy simple goa this

might be for you.. i'll be generous and give it 3/10.

9 Mystic Dawn (7:39)

From my discogs review.

Some music is worth waiting for. I discovered this album 10 years after its release and it brought me directly back to the wonderful days of the mid nineties trance. Wow!

This is why I got into trance and this mess altoghether. Israelian trance anno 1996 making us all go crazy at home during the week and mayheem on the dancefloor at underground parties in the weekends.

Listening to track 7 Hypnotised is like being taken back to a me 10 years younger in a trance somewhere ... somewhere in a field in New Hampshire. Alright. This track and this music has all the edge, psy elements and insisting bass necessary to move the truthful melodic goa trance follower to new heights.

If you don't know it, get it. If you know it ... you know what I mean ;)
