I absolutely agree with you Children (i see you are the Jason C. of this

website),superb CD with very rare quality, and though there are groups here

that i heard about them just once and it was from this album, don't worry, they

are all excellent. It took me a very long time to realise how much this

compilation really is,about half a year or more... maybe because i didn't

really understand the slower stuff (tracks 8,9) but now i understand this

perefectly, and i most say that track 9-12000 Suns is one the best Ambient

stuff i ever heard, and track 8-Analog Voyager is a slower Trance beautiful and

melodic... and about melodia,i must mention that this CD is extremely

melodic, there is no non-melodic tracks in here!

Favorites tracks here:every single one! but the best of the best:3&6 (the

energy in the air!). a must have!

I absolutely do not agree with you :( This is one of the worse cd I own...

First track is some kind of remix of Zero, sounds almost the same, second

track is pretty empty even with a nice melody, third track, is less good than

original version (why didn't they cut the screaming of the crowd ?), even if

it's good, and the two remixes of Life on Mars are too close from the

original, that I didn't really like. Buy every other AP album before this, and

Trust in Trance 2 and 3 are so much better...

I think you mean that Solid Electronics is some kind of

remix of Soundform, ubik? This cd is ok (especially

track 1,3,7 And 8 are good tracks). Trust In Trance 2 and 3

are MUCH better though!

I agree with the guy above but really not with the others...First, we can find

in this album 2 remix and one live of a track.Of course, the remix are not as

good as the original tracks, and quiet close of them.Secondary, the other

tracks are completely empty!Definitly, this CD is a shit.AP can do really

better with TiT2 and 3...4/10

very good compilation! (i admit i never heard the other Trust in Trance

comps...) the opener Solid Electronics is a killer! Andromeda is also a great

Astral track, different from their usual sound. Power Gen would have been

better without the crowd noise.. the SFX remix of Life On Mars is definitely

the best track here. the last track is fucking depressing, even though it

sounds great. 7.5/10

amazing, so beautiful! Buy it.! You won't regret!

GREAT compilation ! All songs are great but the best are SOLID ELECTRONICS,

ANDROMEDA, POWER GEN AND 12000 SUNS....10 MINUTES TO SUNSET is very good too.

LIFE ON MARS remixes are also pretty effective.....

10/10

I think we have here a very good compilation from the psytrance masters. Of

course, if you don't like Astral's style, don't even think buying it. But like

me if you love it, you won't be deceived. Ther's something strange here, the

tracks I prefer here are not from Astral Projection. Solid Electronics is only

above average, nothing more. Andromeda is extremly good though, fast and

melodic, pure AP track. The live version of Power Gen is quite good, but they

could have removed the crowd behind. The two remixes of Life on Mars are good,

10 times better than the Domestic remix on "In the Mix". Nevertheless, the SFX

remix is better than Oforia's one (very metallic noises as usual with Ofer).

As for non-Astral tracks, The Mayan Collective is average, but Interactive and

especially Silent Sentinels are excellent, Analog Voyager being one of the

most impressive tracks I've ever heard. As for Iridium, it's a good ambient

track, and as a guy above said, it sounds very sad. On the whole, I give

8.5/10 here ; I strongly recommend it for Astral fans.

I hate to speak ill of the dead, but...wait, hold up...is Children dead?

Sooooo....that's a no? Damn, sorry man I meant no offense. But now I don't feel so bad about saying his review sucked lacked a bit of detail. So let's see what we can do to remedy that. First off is anyone under the illusion that the projects not labelled as Astral Projection aren't Astral Projection?

No?

Good because we couldn't continue if you insisted on being stupid. Yeah I know Discogs doesn't "definitively" say, but wink wink and sh*t. As some have mentioned this is far from essential as I'm quite sure you have all the necessary Astral tools in your toolbox. Their tracks can be found on any number of compilations. The other projects sound just like them so if you like the Astral doof doof kick sound then this is a way to get some more stuff in that vein. The brief crowd noise on Power Gen isn't obtrusive and doesn't bother me. Channeling sounds great and couldn't be more Astral if their identical twins made it. The original Life on Mars was as outstanding as the Domestic remix from the In The Mix album was shitty.

"Look I remixed Astral! I'm super awesome!"

That's why you don't give kids power tools. The Oforia mix is certainly darker and pretty funky to boot even if it sounded a little too full-oney. The SFX remix is where it's at with enough to make it different whilst keeping the spirit of the original. Ten Minutes to Sunset is typical Astral mesmorization. I'd never heard it so it's like a new track for me. But seriously, you cannot tell me that isn't them. What's that? Oh, it's Smashtral Confection? Well that explains it. The final downtempo track was too long for my tastes. Good, but not spectacular.

I think this was a great CD. Even if Astral (wink wink) is behind all the tracks what's not to love? Sure they recycled a few tracks, but I had never heard some of the alias projects so that's discovered gold to these ears. As someone said, not essential, but if you are a fan of that very particular Astral sound (and I am) then this is worth your time surely.

This one has a really special place in my heart, my second goa CD purchase (reminds me high school and all that crap).

Solid electronics is like a better version of Sound form. Andromeda is a dark goa beauty. Power gen Live is a monster track, much better than the original. The Mayan collective - Channeling is one my favourite dark goa track by AP, powerful. The Oforia remix is a bit boring, the only track I am not fond of in this album. The SFx remix is epic, monster build up and synths!

Interactive - 10 minutes to sunset is a simple but dramatic track with a melancholic melody, the track title really fits.

Silent Sentinels - Analog Voyager is the most morning track on this CD, nice effort on the melodies. Poor mastering though.

The last track is a rare downtempo goa masterpiece, one of a kind, melody wise it is probably the most accomplished track made by these guys.

Most of the tracks here are on the dark side of goa trance. I consider this CD to be as good as any other AP album.
