singer is spanish) have generate and be a pioneer(1993-94) in what we call

Review:

This is a rather old compilation full of melodic old school goa tunes. Not all

of them are considered hardcore psychedelic i guess, there is a remix from

Energy 52's Cafe Del Mar for example, a commercial dance track. But still, all

the tracks are full of beautifull melodies with several layers and a not too

wicked mood. It´s more a relaxing and soft albumt but still very danceable. I

can really imagine dancing to it while the sun is rising after a night of

hectic dancing... My favourite track is Datura: Yerba Del Diablo, the main

synthline in it is just awesome!! Another good track is the Cafe Del Mar

Remix, it is much better than the original. If you like old school goa and

trance then don't hesitate to buy this cd. For me this is an absolut must have!

Excellent comp until the Ramirez tracks kick in. As

far as I know, this is the only comp to include "God's

Eye On Goa", which alone makes it worth the price. 8/10

Eternal Trance is one of the best old-school compilations I own, primarily because it is one of strongest Goa-Trance compilations ever released. The first song alone is worth buying the album. But there are a handful of others old school melodic trance pieces that ooze with greatness and positiveity deilight. Not to worry, the album has its fair share of edgeness and intensity, especially in the aggressive and blazing Sundown. The only element I was never a big fan of -- regarding the 9 Goa tracks here, regard the "I am feeling very weird" voices on track 9. Repeating statements often distract the listener from being immersed in the world of sounds. But I've come to accept that unique part; track 9 is simply one of my least favorite Goa tracks here though the melody/sound work is very well done.

If one could simply overlook the last three (club house trance) tracks. The album should have ended with track 9, without including these Ramirez tracks that feel as pretentious and out-of-place as the last two songs on Juno Reactor's 2008 Gods and Monsters album. In short, three typical trance tracks end an otherwise wonderful and tight compilation. I have come to stop the compilation after track 9. That said, the majority of the compilation is excellent. I LOVE a handful of the tracks. But the opening is one of the only greatest songs I have ever heard in my life along with L.S.D., Asterope, and few others. Furthermore, this has the Overlords best PSY work ever produced on it.

Best tracks - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Sorry to disagree on the above Jon, but where were you back in the day, man?!?!

I mean, Ramirez? La muzika sika sika sika tremenda!!!

Oh man, the Ramirez tunes bring amazing memories from way back when. I don't know what the U.S.A. was on, but the three Ramirez numbers listed above tore clubs and speaker sets up years after their release. Classic material. All of them. Straight up 10/10 along with some other tunes off this otherwise classic loaded V.A.

Jesus, how I used to adore the way in which Ramirez placed those pointless and mostly uncomprehensable vocals all over his tracks. It made no sense whatsoever, but sounded so cool. Lovely sound, which brings back lovely memories.

Anyways, what's he up to these days?

Well, on a little side note, both of The Overlords tracks, Man With No Name's fabulous remix of 'The Single' and Datura's 'Yerba Del Diablo' are all vintage old school trance classics, bar none. Take that literary.

I'm not feeling the love for the first track. It is not bad, but I definitely don't call it goa whether it has the word goa in the title or not. It feels more like Ibiza morning trance to me. This CD is sort of a hodge podge of styles.
