Review:

This is what what i can easily call stomper stuff, big,

fat, hard or heavy kicks are first caracterisms of this

album. In fact, the kicks reminds me Miranda's ones in his

first album 'Phenomena' but much heavyer.

After some minutes of familiarization , it's very simple

to enter into the musical universe of Necton.

The fear of a too much homogene album appears at begining

but quickly vanishs in the air with the presence of some

dubby progressive stuffs (tracks 2 & 3) in a slower tempo.

Nevertheless major part of this album is constitued by

some dancefloor kickin, and these 2 swedishes people

succeed in producing some evolution between each of their

tracks, some are more funky (funkfactor), some got more

worked uplifting rythmic with efforts put on harmony

(Muddyterrainian), others are a nice compromise between

stomp kicks at its best & subtle dubby harmony (Submachine)

or simply killer stomper energic dancefloor ( Nature Nation

or Fresh Flavour) with also some 303 lines in Nature

Nation.

The first track 'The Awakening' isn't a real track, It's

more an intro explicating the necton's musical

universe. It's composed of 80% of speaking and the last 40

seconds some very nice notes are played at piano & acoustic

guitar but too short (It would have merited to be a real

full track).

To conclude, this album will surely make more of one person

dance on the floor.

Highlights : Submachine & Funkfactor

Others good tracks 2,3,9,10

Mark :8/10

Ohh, just got my lucky claws on this album and it's kicking! The intro is kewl

as well as the heavier tracks, tracks 2 and 3 are a little too slow for me but

still nice. Kickin' work Necton! I send u my lunar greetings for a very nice

album! Keep it up

Bit of an oddity this one, and if you were ever after an album to baffle and

amuse your future offspring when they plunder your CD collection in however

many years time, this is it. If you know Necton’s Beverly Hills Cop, you’ll

know they’re not the most conventional of artists, putting the ‘mental’ into

experimental and not afraid to have the mick taken out of them in the

playground. Children Of The Noizy Village is a concept album, sort of telling

a story, sort of getting funkier as the album progresses, and sort of leaving

you enriched in a kind of Tolkein-trance sort of way. The Awakening showcases

their love of a particularly unforgettable voice effect that resurfaces

through the album, and jut when you think you’ve picked up an old Gong

offshoot prog-rock monster, sub-aphex twin beats tickle your underneath with

style. Noizy Family is twisted breakbeat with a deep jungle sub, with cute

melodies drifting in and out. Bug Squad Dub is probably the most psychedelic

dub ever produced, with plenty of shifting and classy stoned delays, and

Submachine marks the start of the album’s 4-4 dancefloor section, which starts

out almost disappointing given the sweet introduction but, give it time and it

turns into a nice bubbly groover with good melodies and a nice progression.

Swamppeople is organic-minimal and Funkfactor is stripped-down magnetised

trance. Nature Nation is hard, yet fluffy with playful and lazy 303’s, the

quantize is at a quirkily perfect level to keep that grin firmly in place.

Porno Poltergeist is a nice slice of techno-trance hybrid stuff that’s

suitable for all dancefloors, and Muddyterranian completes things providing a

nice 2-step / breakbeat return to (ab)normality. It’s a genuinely different

album, with plenty happening, and it should keep everybody happy and paranoid

all summer long.

OK - This album is one of the VERY few albums i would class as something

special - VERY special. I always treat this album with respect and play it

from beginning to end. If i were only to buy one psy album this year - THIS

would be it! The beauty of it is, the amazing flow of the whole album, from

track to track, the musical style slowly evolves. Even the KICK! I'm quite

sure, the kick slowly evolves, it sounds similar from track to track, but

takes a journey throughout the album - As the music does with it. These guys

have matured so much since their last album. Can i tell you mp3 guys, this

album will be wasted if you get one or two 'killer' tracks - you MUST listen

from beggining to end without gaps, so BUY it - you will get full enjoyment

from it that way. The album begins with a stunning intro, that evolves

progressively necton style and into the first slow dubby track which is still

very danceable i think, and this evolves into the second, faster dubby track.

finally, this one flows into the first dancefloor - submachine, and when the

bass drops on this one - WHOOOO! I think these slower tracks build up the BEST

anticipation, it's the absolute MADDEST idea!! because when the dancefloor

track drops, you just go nuts! a great album to startup a party.. 9.5/10

Good album but not as much as the last one, which was really perfect!!! But

this one is not very innovating, nothing very creative and new...as usual with

Necton, good bassline, regular and deep, good drums, ...but not an exceptional

album, on the other hand, a good journey to listen straight, not to mix...
