Only because the beginning (first ~10mins) is terrible. I just can't stand Beija Flor. The rest of the album is outstanding. It lives up to Shpongle imo. I think this one is better than Tales...But not as good as the first one.

I'm sitting listening to it now - BIG grin on my face, and that feeling.. mmmmh! I love it! I only liked 'are u shpongled' before of all their albums, and this one is like are u, except better... I love the way they blend in the vocals in some of the tracks... The first reaction, upon hearing Levitation nation, was  radio frendly.. But it grows. I also like the bass in some of their tracks, it sounds jazz!

Happy!

I find that in the first album you could really hear where Raja's influence came in. This album that is very much less so obvious. I feel that here there input was very well blent in together.

Off course it's just my perception, i could be terribly wrong here off course...

Apart from that side note i'm beginning to fall in love with this album the more i listen to it. But indeed, the beginning is bad. When the warm bassline kicks in at around 8.00 mins, the real thing begins. From there on it's brilliant, with some lesser parts towards the middle/end.

I have a hard time telling when Raja did some work in this album. It was more obvious in the first one. I won't be suprised if the sleeve says: w&p Simon Posford.

:P

Edit: It should be here any day soon.

am i the only one who loves Tales the most?

Nothing Lasts is a great album.. but still, like it loses dynamic... here and there.....

I like both earlier albums pretty much equally.

7 I think it's better than tales but not as good as the 1st one although it is slowly growing on me. I agree with other person though I can hardly hear any of raja's stuff & I'm not a huge fan of the 20 chapters of one song thing. Plus it's only 67 minutes.

Because the first 10 minutes IS beija flor.

It's cheesy, pretentious(?) and boring. The drums are shit.

No, but Simon and Raja did it when they shat out that track. Uhm..Their shit.

That must be the most logical explanation.

...no, I can't come up with any comeback. Consider me pwn3d.

But the track is still great
