not goatrance like the old school stuff.

and 2001

good new innovating stuff that year.

I think we already had this kind of poll not long ago

anyway, 1997 must be the magical year... the perfect music of 96 in a slightly better production!

But well, every year there have been some memorabel releases, even in the 2000's like Benjy sais (Scatterbrain! )

Well I chosed 1998 cause I've got the best memories from goa released that year... still it's not possible to pick one year... what is possible is that you prefer a period... like old skool from 1993 - 1998 or morning fullon 2003 -2004...

I prefer old skool but sometimes listen to fullon too... (for 10 minutes :D )

Although I liked the year 2000-2001 cause of the great progressive released back then

instead of that boring minimal < 2000...

so

I simply can't choose between 1995 1996 and 1997. Those three years are filled with immense purifying goa trance and can't be beaten, considering goa trance, but from psychedelic I would say 1998 and 1999, I know I am old school lover more than neo trancer.

1993 was great for psytrance. So many true classics released back then:

Eat Static - Abduction

Astralasia - Pitched Up at the Edge of Reality

Juno Reactor - Transmissions

System 7 - 777

Zen Paradox - Eternal Brainwave

Exquisite Corpse - Inner Light

I wonder if anyone here has heard any of these (apart from the Juno and Eat Static ones, which seem to be quite well-known).

Juno Reactor - Transmissions

One of the best albums ever thanks to one track - the epic, wonderful, fluffy, epic, 10/10 masterpiece trip "10 000 miles".

I have indeed heard of all of them and played them many times in the good ol days :)

Zen Paradox was on the same label as me "Nova Zembla"

Nice to see someone actually know Exquisite Corpse (I believe they wereon KK Records) who btw was a guy and his girlfriend... amazing percussive music.

So then I am sure you also know Psychic Warriors of Gaia? :)

System 7 is a wicked band with amazing releases and Astralasia are top notch too :)

A very nice selcetion of long "forgotten" artists.

Yeah, Psychick Warriors ov Gaia are great too!

Who had friends who formed the group Cosmic Connection! Also interesting!

And Lumukanda!

And let's not forget about the Zen Paradox collaboration projects Starseed Transmission (for really spaced-out ambient) and Sonic Voyagers!

Oh, and there was another great artist called Elysium, heard about that one? ;)

Man, who needed the Posfords, the APs and the Infecteds back then?! :P

Seriously, I'm glad there's at least one person around here who really understands my passion for this early, almost forgotten stuff. But then, I'm not surprised at that, since you were directly involved in the scene at the time :)

I discovered most of these artists only in the last 3 years. And System 7, btw, are far from forgotten, they released their latest album only last year, and it rocks, as does all the material they put out before.
