Varun - Blazer 10. Delysid Vs. Brain Hunters - Sensations 11. Audialize - East X-Press Can I make it any clearer? This is the perfect gif to summarize the full-on sh*tfest onslaught that was the psytrance scene in the mid to late 2000's. Every full-on release was a carbon copy of a carbon copy. Imagine swimming in a sewer underneath a Taco Bell where all you encounter is one rented taco after another. There is absolutely nothing special about this release. No standout moments, no twists and turns. Just 75 minutes of throwing up in a toilet. After awhile you're just numb and don't feel anything. Congratulations Materia you've just written the soundtrack to apathy. Psyshop

Artist: Various Title: Big Bang Label: Materia Records Date: September, 2007 1. Mekkanikka - Isee 2. Massive Vs. Outer Signal - Trippy 3. Biogenesis - Geostygma 4. Speedball - Backline 5. Outer Signal - Gipsy Dance 6. Painkiller Vs. Madnetic - Sound Dealers 7. Chromatone - Water Memory 8. Delsyd - Big Bang 9. Kali - Feel The Mind "We sure as hell don't need all these Mexicans!" The ignorance is strong in this one. The big bang. An event so cosmic, so significant, it's the beginning of everything. And if you listen to the pathetic carnival barker above he'll tell you that he was responsible for it. Comparing this compilation to the grandeur of that event is destined for failure. Big Bang? I call this Little Whimper. Full-on under the guise of night time music with stops and starts aplenty. Bass lines frantically searching for excape and moody samples attempting to capture the dark feeling. Is it really a build up if your final destination is beneath where you started? For my money the track to get on this comp is Backline by Speedball and Gipsy Dance for its power and chaos. Not a bad comp, but definitely could've used more killers. And an imploding star wouldn't hurt. Psyshop
