  1. Artist: Various Title: Stompers Agony Label: Acidance Records Date: January, 2007 1. Menog Vs. Audialize - Mental Reproduction 2. Random - Bifurcation 3. Khopat - Come Closer 4. Tryambaka - Stroke of Luck 5. Toxic - Mofos In Da House 6. Sick Addiction - Today's Madness 7. Delsyd - Stompers Agony 8. Wicked Wires Vs. Brain Hunters - Mr. Mars 9. Brain Hunters - Genetic Poison 10. Meta - Boing! "Instincts play a very important part here so trust them." You didn't trust your instincts. Needed more Nadia Comaneci and less Kool-Aid Man. So when I think of melodic night time psytrance I think of labels like Timecode and Nexus Media when they were at their zenith. This collection of tunes is a level below that. There is plenty of acid, but there are also plenty of samples. It's better than full-on, but there are too many breaks in the action for any momentum to accrue. Mental Reproduction is the biggest stormer for me, but I also liked the groove in the 10 and a half minute Today's Madness. But there wasn't enough great stuff in that 10 and a half minutes. I mean, you had 10 and a half minutes...you couldn't make more than one f*cking basket in 10 and a half minutes? If you're on the hunt for really good dark melodic music I feel you might be let down by this one. A few good tracks, but there are a lot better albums out there. Psyshop Beatspace
