Dear festival souls, it's time again for unforgettable dances under the wide sky! Moments of emotions, journeys, gatherings around the fire and the aroma of fresh herbs! This year Aymon coincides with the day of the summer solstice again. In ancient Bulgarian times it is believed that before "going to winter", the sun bathes in the sea, springs and rivers, turning the water into healing water. The magical dew that the sun shakes off itself sprinkles all over the flowers and herbs and they become miraculous! Folklore says that on the morning of the feast, when the sun rises, it "vibrates" and "dances" and whoever sees this will be healthy all year round. Let's get together during these mystical and magical days to swirl and center the flow of pure and life-giving energy. The theme of this year's edition is Chaotic Symphony. The chaotic symphony presents the Cosmic Dance of life in all its nuances. All events in the world around us, no matter how separate and different in existence, form a whole! Just as the heartbeat and the frequency of the music create the perfect unity - this is the symbiosis that creates the sound of the heart. The powerful element of the endless and melodic symphony swirls in the great chaos. Just like in an orchestra, where each instrument enters at a certain time and sounds only in the register for which it is intended leading to a harmonious symphony. Chaotic symphony represents the Cosmic dance of life disguising itself as chaos to break of an existent energetic structure for a higher purpose. Energy does not die, it transforms. It also is in a state of change. Chaos is an inherent attribute of order and order is an attribute of chaos. Within all chaos becomes a point in which powerful new order is adhered to. This is the Law of Order and Chaos. There can be no chaos without the presence of previous order and an order that follows. There similarly can be no order without previous chaos of some type and a following chaos of some type. All Chaos adheres to a new order. My brother is doing a full Ironman Triathlon tomorrow, so I figured I'd match his effort (/s) with a 5 1/2 hour mix. When I was conceptualizing this mix, I was heavily inspired by Simon Posford (of Shpongle) after he came to my city a few years ago with an army of psychedelic weapons and blitzkrieged the dance floor for 4 hours. His ability to weave a variety of styles in and out of each other was simply astonishing - like he was a swiss-army knife of psytrance. Channeling Posford, I have selected a kalaeidoscopic spectrum of flavors spanning several genres, styles, and tempos. This Russian duo is nothing if not prolific. Like the vast majority of their output this is a digital release sounding like a solid piece of progressive trance firmly entrenched in the Blue Tunes vein. Dreamy, uplifting, and bouncy trance that more than flirts with a techno vibe. It's a pretty varied cross section of the progressive genre, sometimes sounding cold and clinical. On the other hand it can also be warm and precise with tracks like the Witch and Arrow mix of Esbat and the New Orlean mix of Mayferien Nights bringing a smile to my face the whole way through. His latest EP gives us 4 psychedelic techno tracks, each unique and exploring a different realm from the last. Virtual Jungle has some nice little jungle sounds which open the album up nicely. Unless you're alone in the Brazilian Amazon I know you like jungle sounds. The track is full of funk with elastic synths that work their way into your cranium. Syrup pool funks things up a little extra with a pretty groovy baseline and lots of psychedelic sounds. Synths are straight techno and surrounded by ominous squelchy fun. Playground starts with the screams of joy from little amigos playing in what I can only assume is a playground, completely unaware that they have been born into a world of difficult choices and darkness. Little dunces. Victor knows this though and goes all dark and wobbly in this track. acid lines build and build until they hit a nice little breakbeat. Lost in Raval is a synth laden, stomping banger of a track. I once got lost in a supermarket, in my little 8 year old panic I picked the first lady I could find and came up to her calling her 'mum' only to find out she was not. This track is infinitely better than that moment. Biggest track on the album and a bunch of fun. Bioterranean comes out hard in this EP, with the same precision and care that we were presented with Eurythmia. Victor's style choice of sounds in all his music is a delight and I recommend getting this album, even if it means going onto Beatspace.
