  1. Title : Distant Touch – Logic Error EP Label : Phonix Records Cat no. : PHODIGI005 Format : Digital download Release Date: 26th April 2013(BeatPort 2 Week Exclusive) World Wide Release: 10th May 2013 Mastered by Ross Dubois @ Random Studio, USA Artwork by Etnarama: Fresh from the Phonix Records laboratories is the new virus, only known as 'Logic Error'. Synthesized by the entity known only as Distant Touch (Ashley MacLaughlin) - the mysterious scientist known to hail from South Africa. Symptoms include uncontrollable body movements often resulting in dancefloor stomps, overclocking of neural processors, bursts of euphoria accompanied with bone shattering chills caused due to elevated endorphin levels. The virus is highly contagious, if encountered the only way to keep it at bay is to let it loose on the loudest set of speakers available. Phonix Records is proud to present Distant Touch's second EP - 'Logic Error' featuring three original tracks. The music on this EP is best described as groovy, aggressive with enough power to jumpstart your adrenal glands. The energy levels don't let up through the introduction of the 'Logic Error', to exploring its 'Demonic' aspects culminating finally in the 'Offensive Psy Application'. In keeping with true Phonix style - we recommend you take us to your speakers! TRACKLIST: 1. Logic Error https://soundcloud.com/phonix-records/distant-touch-logic-error 2. Demonic https://soundcloud.com/phonix-records/distant-touch-demonic 3. 2. Artist: Loud / Loud & Domestic Title: Pipeworm / 303 Tool EP Label: TIP Records Date: January, 2013 1. Pipeworm (Loud &Domestic Remix) 2. 303 Tool - Loud "The words mana from heaven actually means mushrooms from heaven." Mushrooms make everything better. Ahh...the first review of a new year. It's like virgin snow or, well...a virgin. Thanks to the Artist News and Labels Announcements forum this caught my attention. And what we have here is something quite psychedelic. Loud (Israeli duo Eitan Reiter & Kobi Toledano) & Domestic (Ido Ophir) take on a track from the legendary Simon Posford that first appeared on the 2006 compilation God Save the Machine. Beatport says it was made in 2009, but how could that be if it's on a compilation from 3 years earlier? Unless they were on some Marty McFly sh*t. It's pumping with deep bass drops and oscillating synth waves. Sonic manipulation and tempo changes that makes you question just what was in that teacup that guy with the stupid f*cking hat gave you. 303 Tool features the revered instrument of the Gods, growling to life with a house like hi-hat and soul clap. It scratches that itch that seems to be just out of reach. Nice EP to start off the year. Beatport Mdk
  3. After one month of rest our label is ready for the new release season, and why not start the latest schedule with a bang? "LSD Bomb" by our new entry Damnation is surely the best one for this purpose! The original mix is a powerful and aggressive DarkPsy song, perfect for nocturnal sets, while Nevarakka takes the track to another level with his remix, transforming it into a heavy prog tune. Get your copy now, just go here! http://www.beatport.com/release/lsd-bomb/1070987 If you want to have a listen to the other upcoming releases follow this link http://soundcloud.com/zombsterrecords
  4. Artist: Orca Title: Computer Action EP Label: Planet B.E.N. Records Date: February, 2013 1. Computer Action 2. Fizzy Lifting Drinks Orcas...pfffft what do they know about computers? Mr. Fists of Fury Alon Lifer is back with a brief 2 track EP. I liked his album, but that was 5 years ago. In this hectic what have you done for me lately world...what have you done for me lately? Well he showed some love for the Beastie Boys as the first track is full of samples from the famous project. But the rest of the track is a commercial waste amidst stops and starts and galloping bass lines. Fizzy Lifting Drinks takes a great sample by Mr. Gene Wilder (Willy Wonka) and then makes a tune that the scene has unfortunately been overly saturated with. Boring full-on with build-ups. Throw it on the pile with the others. Back to the drawing board. Psyshop Beatport Mdk
  5. Artist: Tickets Title: The Slayer of the Jabberwocky EP Label: Planet B.E.N. Records Date: June, 2012 1. Trial of Life 2. Smash 3. Tum Tum Tree 4. The Ingredient "I...am...the lord...of...darkness!" Remember when Timelapse came out back in 2006 and just blew the doors off of everything, firmly positioning South African psytrance at the top of the pyramid? Not like they needed any help, but man it just seemed like that corner of the world kept releasing smash after smash of dark melodies and thunderously pumping music. As you can tell from the above sample this is darker and I suppose more cinematic in scope. Evil terms in the title alone dictate that. You don't really want to know a slayer (I used to be a slayer of Twinkies) and the Jabberwocky in Alice in Wonderland was frightening. I cannot confirm this, but it seems as if there is a Principles of Flight influence on this EP. Symphonic strings, medieval vibes and somewhat of a story to be told mark this release. The harpsichord sound in Tum Tum Tree made me smile and harkened back to old Talpa machinations. It's different than his albums past, but his talent and acid is still evident. Whereas the older stuff was four on the floor get the f*ck outta the way, this is more detailed and subtle. What was once a brawler is now a surgeon in the ring. Oh he can still smash your face, but he likes to toy with you first. And isn't it the quiet ones you have to watch out for? Beatport JunoDownload AudioJelly Psyshop Mdk

  9. Okay here we go! after one month of rest our label is ready to start the spring/summer release craze, and why not starting this new schedule with a bang? This is the debut single of our night-psy act Damnation, featuring darker and edgier baselines and acid synths in the original mix; tweaked and transformed into a dark-prog tune in the Nevarakka remix, it now comes in an additional flavor. This is just a little preview of his upcoming album "Art Of Destruction", so stay tuned for the news! http://soundcloud.com/zombsterrecords/damnation-lsd-bomb-single http://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-000043906647-8w1upv-original.jpg

But take a longer listen to this latest release on Free-Spirit Records and it quickly fades to irrelevance where he is from and who you are for now it is all about the destination; universality. The path taken to reach this place may differ but it is these differences that emphasise our commonality and once recognition is made that our individualities are what strengthen us as a whole, let the celebrations begin. Our gateway to shared totality is the dance floor and it is the power of the music that provides the medium for us as human beings to communicate through the shared language of love. So that words are not necessary and the only requirement to acknowledge the ascension of the soul to the point of boundless possibility is for you to be on that dance floor, so that we now comprehend what was previously incomprehensible and nothing else matters. Whoo, deep breath. What just happened there? One minute I was listening to a few tunes, next I was raving it up with the gods of all religions having found the answers to existence. In these firsts steps of work the main goal was to create as much as possible , on the attempt to compose songs with the original feelings from psytrance and goatrance. With a little package from these first steps, Twelve Sessions is now aiming to improve it's music and come up with a very objective line, The songs rely on arrangements with a tense feel, accompanied by a straight fullon groove line, bringing in an exciting atmosphere to the dance floor. ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ :: Booking Opportunities :: We are always looking for quality promoters and production crews worldwide to host Free Spirit CD Release Parties and also Free Spirit Records Label parties. 19. Hi Folks, Just to let everyone know, there is now a website dedicated to the music of Nervasystem. You can find it at...... http://www.nervasystem.bandcamp.com The 2 albums so far, and much of the Elektrik Orgasm back catalogue is there already, plus some unreleased things. I will be adding material constantly and am going through the back catalogue over the next few weeks and will try to make as much of it available as possible. If you want to download my music, please do it through the bandcamp site, as i dont make any money at all from the other outlets online. Buying through the bandcamp site is the only way to ensure the artist who wrote the work gets rewarded for his effort. Its a bit of a crazy situation, but i'm trying to regain control of my musical back catalogue. Thanks........ I'm currently writing a new album. This will be in classic Nervasystem style, and will feature nearly all dancefloor tunes. The album will featured a few solo penned tunes as well as collaborations with some well known and familiar artists from the early scene. I cant give too much away at this point but i'm very excited by the prospect of working with the people i've asked and i think it will be an exciting record.......... So far the few tracks in the can sound pretty fat!!!! Watch this space.......... Thanks to everyone who has listened to and supported my music over the years, i really appreciate it and big love to each and every one of you. I hope you dig the new stuff............ Bom Shankar.......... & Lashings of Frequency............... Drezz x PS please share this post and information to anyone you think will find it of interest....... PPS, i'm looking for gigs too, so if you want me to come play at your festival or party, please let me know via the bandcamp site or search for 'Drezz Dressler' on FB............ Thanks........
  20. Hi! I came here for some help. Long story short... The years around 2000 I went to alot of parties and listen to some heavy shit like X-dream and also some Ololiuqui, Intact Instinct and Son Kite among others. Since then I have been busy with a lot of other things like life and all that include. Now Im back for some more hardcore psy trance and I thought there would be a ton by now but where is it? On youtube there is only "happygoalovetrancemelodies", that is girls music to me. I need some hardcore X-dream shit when Im training, I cant train to happy ecstacy tunes, I need hardcore LSD psychomachine stuff, but where is that? So my question is...what have happened since let say 2002, what is the "new" classics, I mean there should be some within the last 10 years, I just don't know about them. Would anyone be nice and tell me what classic hardcore psytrance that has been made the last decade? I don't mean fast Thunderdome music, I need heavy X-dream music. I can't do music my self because I have other things I do with my time so for now I need some already done music, but heavy shit. Im open for electric house or what ever genre as long as its heavy, I can´t stand that happy melody shit for many minutes. I don't mean that all the other music is bad, it's just not for me. Thanks for all help I can get!
  21. Sonic Tantra continues to revive old powers and spawn new ones at the same, going ahead and continuing it's holy ego slaughter and mind control activities right into 2013 We first had Rest in Pieces (extreme kundalini hacking), then the Cosmogenezis (Rebirths & space launch of little naughty future shamans) , culminating into Sonic Shamans (Mastery of Brahmic Forces) resulting in the karmic recycle and junking of existing dirty DNA structures in the Last Point, we now give you a first hand experience of the very essence of the Mahyem with Dancing in the Desert Dancing in the Desert, is what happened after The Last Point so to speak..the last point was hard, but something down there, was still alive, and it is dancing now... A world laying destroyed by Cosmic forces, undergoing a powerful ritual of the undead dancing to engineer the birth of the future species who will carry on the destiny of the Skeletal kind. Visions of extremely detailed organic structures are hallucinated in extreme detail so as to encode the very path these new structures will take to continue the expansion of the universal forces in the direction of extreme pleasures, to fulfil lost desires, to live and to survive, they danced in the desert.. 23. Artist: Various Title: Spectrum Analyzer: Analyzed by DJ Dede Label: Spectrum Music Date: May, 2002 1. Cakes & Pieces - Echotek 2. Activity - Atomic Pulse 3. Made Contact - Spectrum 4. Shaffeling - Shift 5. I'm Real - Atomic Pulse Vs. DJ Dede 6. Monster DNA (Remix) - Safi Connection 7. Gringos - Shift 8. Ilucid Dream - Atomic Pulse 9. Enable To Construct - Spectrum I paid for this. I actually paid money for it. Back when I was just discovering psytrance and gobbled up all the stuff I could find. I was routinely spending $300 bucks a month at Saikosounds for at least a year. So much so that with each $100 spent they let me have a free CD of my choice. Listening to this right now is like comparing XBox Live with...f*ck I dunno...pong. This was when minimal was king and the full-on wave had yet to crest. There is just nothing here. Nothing. It's a desert devoid of changes in direction and layers. Recall back to a time when over 32 measures there were just incremental changes. A hi-hat there. A slight synth riff there. Maybe a small drum pattern change. Sure there's a cool K-Pax sample in Made Contact, but how long is that gonna hold you? Maybe to the Vanilla Sky sample in I'm Real? The stuttering Stanley sample from the Sixth Sense featured in Safi's Monster DNA remix? The fun back then was trying to remember what movie the sample was from. And most of the tracks have movie samples in them and they're used very well. But musically? All of the artists have grown in 11 years as you would expect and have composed much more detailed and interesting tracks. Mdk

  25. Artist: Jupiter 8000 Title: Twisted Bliss Label: Avatar Records Date: February, 2004 1. Cylent Storm 2. 101 And Still Alive 3. Dust to Dawn 4. Atem rmx 5. The Memory 6. Inside 7. Break The Law 8. Bit Fire 9. New Moon 10. Rubber Dub "The purpose of this hearing is to determine if you are likely to break the law again." I am very surprised that this has not been reviewed. 2004 was a time when this place was crowded like an Indian commuter train. This is the second album from the Boris Blenn project Jupiter 8000 and I like it a whole lot better than his first one. It's straight psytrance, but before we were sick to death of full-on and it's maudlin predictability. Never one to go against the way the wind blows, Boris hopped right on this full-on wave, but he also dropped a little goa flavor in there. If I were to say a few words... Cylent Storm is innovative and solid. Know why? Cause since it came out I've heard this melody lifted numerous times by other artists. Part goa and part psy it's all good. 101 and Still Alive has some good acid lines as he twists that filter cutoff. Dust to Dawn bubbles like a hot cauldron of mismatched goa wear, but also growls with ferocity. Oh he knows how to party. "Where da white women at?" Atem Remix has the goa ripples as well along with the acid that apparently never left him. He's just gonna let that lead keep playing isn't he?. Don't wanna any interruptions when your trying to nail that chick with the nice ta-ta's. Got a sister you say? The Memory is darker with some of that Indian? vocal that screams exotic to a kid from New Jersey. You know once you leave the turnpike it's f*cking Deliverance out there. Inside thumps along and makes me remember when I first discovered psytrance. With a nice break and a rising lead that surges like a phoenix I'm all smiles. Break the Law? C'mon Boris. Won't someone please think of the children? Sure this track has the liquid bass and danceable lead, but it always leads to sitting on a curb with your hands behind your back in some tired Nikes and a Santa suit. Always. Bit Fire is creative and chunky. Once the low growl subsides he scorches with a guitar riff that we've all heard before. Some say guitars and psy don't mix and that somethings don't really belong together. Sounds like making the most of an opportunity to me. I dunno, I really liked it. It f*cking rocked. New Moon is progressive filler and Rubber Dub makes me think of one thing: Hooray beer! I know it's not Red Stripe, but f*ck that chick for not wanting to hook up on kiss cam. Man back then he really could craft a track. I mean he can still do it, but now he needs a wingman (aka Space Tribe). I like his albums and he is a true legend, but he's been putting out the same album for half a decade now. This one is quality psytrance. Is there a way we can go back in time and bring this Boris back? Imagine two Boris-es! While one is being uber creative he can also act as the shut down relay when the other starts to go in a silly direction. Win win I say. Avatar Records Mdk
