  1. Hi everybody, Please have a listen to my new track here: https://soundcloud.com/magixmx/magix-changes-unmastered I really could use some feedback since I'm still new in music production The track is made in Cubase 7.5 - 138 BPM. Thanks! // Morten Wriedt
  2. Hi, I have created a few tracks but could really use some feedback to take my work further. Please check them out and feel free to comment https://soundcloud.com/drawn-by-nature/atmospheric-analogy-preview https://soundcloud.com/drawn-by-nature/crop-circling Cheers, Casper
  3. http://www.mixcloud.com/Vitruvius/subtle-conversing-progressive-psytrance/ I got so filled with inspiration and motivation after the Psy-Fi festival that I started this set right when I came home! Passive Aggressive is what I'd call these tunes, and an hour long trance is what they get me in (: Enjoy, and leave some criticism! ॐ
  4. http://www.mixcloud.com/Vitruvius/renewed-progressive-psytrance/ This set is a compilation of my travel-playlist. Nothing gets me cycling like these basslines! (:
  5. http://www.mixcloud.com/Vitruvius/space-age-progressive-psytrance/ I put this one together for a gig originally, but after it got canceled I decided to record it anyway and put it online Enjoy! <3
  6. http://www.mixcloud.com/Vitruvius/submerse-progressive-psytrance/ This set really guides me from the depths of the ocean all the way back to the surface, in half an hour! Offbeat isn't usually my thing when used in progressive psytrance, but these songs managed to float my boat. Raw basslines that massages your brain with every beat, enjoy! (:
  7. http://www.mixcloud.com/Vitruvius/the-lyctum-experience-tribute-set/ I dedicate this set to my all time most favorite progressive artist! Lyctum always manages to flow hard and euphoric due to his excessive use of percussion (which I love) and very typical synths. This artist guided me in my journey of discovering psy-trance, still leaving me in awe of how psychedelic his songs are. I hope that I can translate my feelings about Lyctum in this tribute set to you, listener (: Rave on!

  10. Hello. I have trouble making a certain kick sound. I have heard a kick like this one in many progressive psytrance tracks. I've tried to recreate it by using Bazzism but it just didn't work. Can anyone help me with this? here is a link to tracks with this type of kick https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZSxZt2369A

  13. Hi! I would like to introduce myself. I am a flautist and producer. It has been my vision for many years, since completing a music degree, to combine live instruments with electronic sounds. Having collaborated on tracks with various producers, including Zyce and Lyctum, I have finally come to the natural conclusion of starting to produce progressive psytrance myself, with home recorded flute. I still continue to collaborate with various musicians and producers, so let me know if you would like some flute! This is how I was discovered: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYWPuXmdogM And as a result of that, made this tune with Zyce (followed by the EP, 'Fluting' with him): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCpmCnEtOoc I have now come to the natural conclusion of starting to produce progressive psytrance myself, with home recorded flute in it. Here is my second tune: https://soundcloud.com/spinney-lainey/flow You can check out all my music at https://soundcloud.com/spinney-lainey and https://www.facebook.com/SpinneyLainey Thanks for listening

  17. Title: Eclipsed Made by: DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) / Multiphase Label: Iboga Records Style: Progressive psytrance Total playing time: 1 hour and 15 minutes Date: 6th of February, 2013 Equipment used: Pioneer CDJ200 & Numark Axis 2 + Pioneer DJM400 Stream/download: https://soundcloud.com/pr0fane/pr0fane-iboga-records-eclipsed About the set: Time for a new mix! Like my last progressive psytrance mix, "Eclipsed" is focused on quite dancefloor-oriented progressive psytrance tunes. This time it's some of my favorite tunes from the past six months, which also included a very memorable trip to the solar eclipse in Australia - hence the name. At the end there's also a real classic from the late Cosma, that really destroyed some dancefloors around 10 years ago. Listen and enjoy! Tracklist 01. 18. Hi. This time I supposed to summarize "goodies" that made me impressed in 2012 (and wasn't necessarily released within that year). 19. Artist: Solar Spectrum & Omsphere Title: The Earthlings Label: Free-Spirit Records Date: 03-05-2011 Style: Progressive Psytrance Tracklist: 1. Omsphere - Earthling (Solar Spectrum Remix) 2. Solar Spectrum - Underground Bouncers (Omsphere Remix) 3. Solar Spectrum & Omsphere - Solar Journey As some of you may know, Free Spirit Records has a lot of good stuff lately but not all of it is known to the audience. I discovered this release a while ago and it has entertained me ever since. It's a combination of remixes and tracks by Omsphere and Solar Spectrum. You may know Solar Spectrum from projects such as Rastaliens and Braincell. Omsphere, label manager of this record label is also known as Journey and Crocodile Rangers. At least now you have a bit of an impression with who we are dealing with. What makes this release different than others, is that there is a lot of focus on the psychedelic aspect of trance. While keeping the focus they also made sure of a groovy, bouncy and playful vibe. There's a lot going on, all the time. A perfect example is the very first track Earthling. It definitely didn't bore me, but I can't say it's the best of what this release has to offer. Underground Bouncers is a lovely track, a little more straight forward if you will. The bass line is strong, the effects are perfectly balanced and you can feel the track going somewhere. Everything is well thought about and the entire track gives a bit of a liquid feeling. After about 6 minutes or so you understand where this song was going in the first place. I know the last part of songs are usually the best, but this time it really did the job. Solar Journey is the last track and my favorite at the same time. I don't know, it's just a little more original. I'm not trying to say the first 2 tracks weren't original because I wouldn't be giving them enough credit. But this one really surprised me from the beginning. They stepped out of the regular progressive format and created something bouncy, catchy but at the same time maintaining psychedelic. Once again, the best is saved for last and I'm very happy with what this EP has brought. Great job, definitely worth the money in my opinion. 20. Artist: Vertical Mode Title: Lazer Shot EP Label: HOMmega Productions Date: 29-02-2012 Style: Progressive Psytrance Tracklist: 1. Lazer Shot 2. Lucky Number 3. Mr. Fix Vertical Mode is an experienced duo from Israel. Both producers are known for there solo projects, Xerox and Volcano. Now they are creating something totally different, it lies somewhere in between progressive and full-on. When listening to a bunch of psytrance, every now and then it happens that you stumble upon albums that sound extremely unique and you wonder why you didn't discover it before. This is one of them albums and I have to say this goes for more of Vertical Mode's releases. Lazer Shot is a great track, this is almost as powerful as it gets for progressive. Still it's very psychedelic and it doesn't lack of groove at all. Everything is perfectly balanced and at the end of the song everything comes together. They did a wonderful job! Next is Lucky Number: "Ladies and gentleman, we interrupt this program to bring you important news!". Well you can definitely say that again, this track is what it's all about. And I'm glad I interrupted whatever I was doing to listen to this bouncer. It's my favorite track of this EP. I must admit it was very hard to pick a favorite since the first track was amazing as well, but this offers just a slightly bit more. So yeah, the lucky number was 2 in this case. Last on the list is Mr. Fix. which is not bad at all. It takes about 5 minutes before this one explodes. But when it does you realize that in some cases you just need a good few minutes before you can go all the way. It's an ok track but I have the feeling the other ones had just a bit more of a bouncing groove to it. That's ok though, you don't hear me complaining about this release. I had a great time listening to this EP, it's definitely something new and refreshing. Now this is what you call groundbreaking in it's genre. 21. Artist: Liftshift Title: Full Cycle EP Label: Neurobiotic Records Date: 24-01-2011 Style: Progressive Psytrance Tracklist: 1. Ritual Energy (08:49) 2. Web Of Life (07:08) 3. Full Cycle (09:25) This EP is a nice one, with a lot of energy in each track. Ritual Energy is a perfect example and I'm not just saying that because of the name. The opening track shows that this release starts of very powerful and is well thought about. It's a very unique style, much different to a lot of other stuff I listened to. This Dutch producer represents a style that is somewhere in between progressive and full-on. It's definitely a fun experience listening to and the second track, Web Of Life, is not bad either. I must say, he set the standards pretty high with the first one so I can't say it's my favorite. It's like Ritual Energy has more of a story to tell during the song than this one. However, I am very happy he saved the best for last. Full Cycle is ultimate perfection in my opinion and it can't be a coincidence that he named this EP after it. He thought about everything, nice build-ups, good effects and not to forget a warm feeling left with the listener. Just everything about it makes me want to replay this track several times. I have got to say this is very promising for the future. After listening to all of this I am very excited and curious to see what ells this guy is gonna release. Also, it might be nice to know that the full EP can be listened to on soundcloud and it can be purchased there as well. 23. IC 1848 and IC 1805 are two nebulae shown above that are commonly referred to as Heart and Soul Nebula (heart: right, soul: left). Originally I was considering naming this mix after a supernova, but rather than focusing on star death I changed the theme to star birth. In an astronomical sense, a starburst galaxy refers to a galaxy that is undergoing a process of an incredibly high rate of star formation. The Heart and Soul Nebulae contain large cavities that were carved out by radiation and winds from the region's most massive stars, giving them triggered star formation. The carving out of these cavities pushes gas together, causing it to ignite into successive generations of new stars. This system can be viewed almost as a star nursery, where the clouds of gas and dust are undergoing intense nuclear fusion and creating brand new star clusters. The tracklist is probably fairly obvious to most of you, especially those of you who have heard me on TA Radio. This mix features a whole arsenal of colossal progressive psytrance blasters. I'd like to thank Dr. Mundus, Atmospheric Energy, and PsyScape for exposing me to these awesome tunes. Motion Drive vs. Time in Motion - Evolution [iono] E-Clip - Crow [J00F] Sunstryk & E-Clip - Nature's Warning [Plusquam] Lyctum - Minds Mystery [Yellow Sunshine Explosion] Funky Dragon - Sundown Answers [iono] Nerso - Synapse [TesseracTstudio] Ovnimoon - Sacred Earth (E-Clip Remix) [Yellow Sunshine Explosion] Ace Ventura - Dark Matter (Egorythmia Remix) [Mikrokosmos] Vertical Mode - Mr.Fix [HOMmega] Ovnimoon vs. Middle Mode - Izolan [Ovnimoon] Mechanimal & Contineum - The Free Man (Spectra Sonics Remix) [Mutagen] Killerwatts vs. Waio - Intergalactic [Nano] Micky Noise - Miniballistic [Yellow Sunshine Explosion] Ziptnf - Galactic Starburst (74:44) 172MB ~320kbps Enjoy!
