  3. Greetings friends, I hope this finds you well! After a small break for a little travel & general life shenanigans I am pleased to return with the latest edition in the Dreamtime Diaries psychedelic chill series. This one starts a little dark & creeps slowly yet surely towards the place where we need to be. The message is about perseverance, & making things happen regardless of what our goals are. Just keep turning up, put the hours intruly get stuck in & have fun playing with options...sooner or later the desired results will manifest. Enjoy the journey, & as always big thanks to all the artists for their wonderful music! Forever in your debt! 1. Dead Melodies - Superficial Stasis 2. Kaj. - Human 3. Owen Ear - Expectation 4. Nibana - Far Eden 5. Easily Embarrassed - Nothing But Spirit 6. Soulacybin - The Activation Part 2 (Sequencing Complete) ft. Alaya Love 7. Tanina Munchkina & Ajja - Equinox 8. Sk P - Eye Earth Part 2 9. Whithe X & Introvert - Alone 10. Indigolab - Medicine 11. Man of No Ego - Galactic Girl 12. Tripswitch - Deer Park (Joey Fehrenbach remix) PS: Remember sharing is caring!
  4. Future Phat (In Between Dancefloors) Future Phat - a new foray into beat related tunes. Gone are the purely ambient tones of the Gamma album. Replaced by driving rhythms, providing a base for the cosmic sounds FTR has become known for. It has been commented that track six, 'with half a Panda (Cosmic Cave)' is the standout track on the Album. The last track 'Bounce' hints at the potential of what FTR is about to create next. kind regards FTR _____________________________________ Be it FTP or VDU, sensor driven or midi triggered - ZIP me up baby, I'm ready to drive. http://freetheradical.bandcamp.com _____________________________________
  5. I've been listening to a lot of music that electronically processes classical or minimalist classical music lately. Stuff like Nils frahm, Abandoned Toys, Julia Kent, Samantha Bouquin, Artesia, Lisa Gerrard, etc. Anyone have any good contemporary classical to suggest that uses electronics in it?
  6. Hello people. It is only february, but we already had very exciting things happening in the Goa microcosm. It has never been my cup of tea, but in the golden days, there existed (and you know it) a special kind of Goa, that was either labelled as freeform or experimental. Usually, it consisted in drunken melodies with a thick bassline. But overall, it was crazy psychedelic stuff born to repell the boundaries of psychedelic madness. Example ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m08-lBRAvpA This species died out. Until now ? 02 February, Fuzzonaut releases Fictionnal Grooves, an EP reviving forgotten flavors of madness. 16 February, Ufomatka releases his debut EP (gloriously entitled : The EP) Earlier today, I had access to the Soundcloud page of a mysterious Norwegian label called SunVillageRecordings. These past few days, it has released very experimental pieces of Goa, including : _two EPs The Nature of Space and Transcended Reality _an album from Hallucinogen (insert joke) entitled The Power of the Mind All this stuff is absolutely psychedelic, and just as in the past golden days, it's pure Goa that borderlines Psytrance. Now, there is an upcoming compilation by NeoGoa that is called The World Beyond and that has been described as a "dark, twisted and very experimental compilation" including 4 tracks of unusual length. I am just poiting out what seems to be a new trend in the Goa world for the next few months. EDIT : By the way, it really do seems that Hallucinogen 2015 isn't Simon Posford. Link to the related section. EDIT 2 : Confirmed 300%. However, the fake Hallucinogen seems to be part of that experimental trend as well, so I won't remove it from this post. Be it a genuine artist or not, the style of the music isn't trivial and takes place in a certain context.

  9. I’m currently working on 100% oldschool Goa trance compilation for the first time. Probably it won’t fit in the description of the highly melodic positive trance music which became some sort of standard nowdays, but for sure it will satisfy the people who like their Goa trance more experimental, darker and obscure. 16. CinderVOMIT - The Beast Within Album: The Beast Within Artist: CinderVOMIT Genre: Darkpsy, Psycore, Experimental Size: 335MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations (The artist is raising money to help fight off his disease. Help support him!) Track List: 01 - Is This a Dream??? 02 - Inside Out 03 - Absence of Light 04 - Walk Through Walls 05 - Nuclear Tuna!!! [Feat. EkimSkrid] 06 - Whispers 07 - The End 08 - The Trinity Through Infinity 09 - Mama Mimosa 10 - In A World Of My Own A celestial tower climbs far into space, spiraling towards another dimension full of distant, shadowy figures that shatter the souls of the living. An evil rests at the very top, waiting and craving for something to discover its horrifying lair. As travelers approach the end of the structure, interested and curious about the alluring tower, a strange figure begins to boast its bellowing laugh. The ground beneath their feet shakes, and an unknown entity rises from hell to engulf the reality they so desperately attempt to live in. Slime covers their bodies and pulls them downwards into oblivion, sinking them into nothingness. They cry and scream for help, but high in the caverns of the castle, no soul exists to hear their pleas. The eyes of the beholder melts their brains as the acid tears them apart. They make one last gasp, and go insane as the world around them implodes from the beast within. I find myself knees deep in complete terror. Ever curious, I listen carefully as I am carried through a universe of melting shadows, untold legends, and exotic creatures from the deepest depths of unknown worlds. Surrounded by pure, thick, and juicy soundscapes, the mystifying and intense stragness of this experience pulls me into confusion, chaos, and bewilderment. CinderVOMIT maniacally twists knobs, rapidly tips and taps on keys, and organizes the thoughts from his journeys into nothing short from a spectacular masterpiece. Truly, the road opened is an innovative, original, and simply incredible opportunity for any psychedelic connoisseur. I approached this album with an open mind, surrounded by nothing but a dimly lit candle in the corner of my room. I put on my headphones, closed my eyes, and a wave of color raced across my mind. It is rare for an album to put me into such a true form of trance. It is scary, hideous, and almost makes me scream as if I am waking up from a nightmare only to realize it was all a dream. In fact, I jumped at one moment and realized I was asleep. It took me somewhere in my mind I have never been before. The psychedelic spectrum is only one good thing about this incredible album. In fact, I can't find anything wrong with it. There are many, many good things. A series of well thought out, mastered, heavy bass lines carry a terrorcore theme against slowly evolving pads and steady synths. It is all quite beautiful. I never knew what was going to pop up from beneath the intricate layers of glorious creations embedded into vibrations. Every track features a different BPM, varying from 150 - 200. Wonderfully varied, I yearn for more at every second. I never want the journey to end. Through gorgeously crafted, mysterious soundscapes, this album blows light out of the world and lets in the darkness. If you are brave enough to experience it for yourself, you will be taken on a journey into an organic wilderness covered in mist where you will be alone, shaking, and turning your head in all directions in paranoia that some strange beast is out to get you and rip you to pieces. Being greeted by this atrocity is entirely up to you. Your going to have to run through the violent world and explore the isolated landscape to come across discoveries never before understood, until now. Maybe you too will come across the tower and climb high into the night until the seemingly endless hallways come to an end. It is quite possibly one of the best albums I have ever listened to. As terrifying as It may seem, the album itself is extremely enjoyable. I love the beats. I love the voices. I love the progression. I love the sounds. I love the vibes. I love every single thing about this album. I can not get enough of the beats used here. The Trinity Through Infinity, for example, has some of the greatest sounds I have ever heard. There are different perspectives, sure, but all in all the music is so tasty, engulfing, and addicting that you will love it. It is certainly a more advance album, offering more than the casual listener looks for. Go into it thinking outside the box. Let it take your reality and twist it up. Challenge your boundaries and bend the rules a bit. It will be well worth it. Only then will you truly understand what The Beast Within is. 10/10 Download here on Bandcamp (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Bandcamp for the download bandwidth. - Special Thanks to Jellyfish Frequency Recordings for the review request.
  17. Album: Ubikvad Omniheita Artist: Spruce Genre: Forest, Darkpsy, Experimental Size: 335MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations Track List: 01 - Wahdat Al-Wujud (10:11) 02 - Tzimtzum Samioza (9:12) 03 - Das Herz Dialektik (13:39) 04 - Fu Shang De Fei Di (13:43) 05 - Sensory Mirage (8:11) 06 - Advaita Gita (12:58) 07 - Rgyud (11:34) 08 - Ya-O-Yorozu No Kami (10:52) 09 - Yggdrassil Ormurholur (10:06) 10 - Matryoshka Fraktali (8:01) 11 - M (7:24) 12 - La Nausee (10:06) 13 - Yarindin (25:27) 14 - Comhbhailigh Eigrioch (20:35) Through the distant fields of the universe, unknown spectrums of ever-increasing intensity and roaring chaos coexist with a single thought, an idea containing different perspectives across multiple dimensions. This vision contains a soundscape of strange, mystic terrors crashing into stars, engulfing matter, and erupting into something our world has never seen before. Some call it insanity. Others call it brilliance. Whatever the case, its unique, a legend beckoning everything and everyone to fall into its welcoming grasp. This is Ubikvad Omniheita. Ubikvad Omniheita is a very advanced, Psytrance album that takes any listener on an epic, three hour journey through unconventional and extremley original sounds and beat patterns. There is simply no way anyone can expect what comes next. Using over two hundred different electronically programmed instruments, psychedelic artist Spruce takes us on an absolutely engulfing experience through his mind. Distant melodies, chitter chatter of crowds, and in-your-face euphoric and heavy bass lines are scattered amongst the perfectly pieced together tracks, all put together into one brilliant masterpiece. In David Falao Gjølstad's last album, "Origin," we were introduced to a new, very strange style. People compared it to the works of Psychovsky, but noticed the music developed into something completely different. People loved it, earning the album a 95% rating on Ektoplazm, a critically announced psychedelic community offering hundreds of different albums spanning across 20+ psychedelic genres in the current eastern electronic music movement. Even though his previous release was awe-inspiring to producers everywhere, he somehow managed to create, yet again, something even better. Brain screwing layers of interesting percussion soundscape buildups, intense movements of growing and developing synths mixed with beautifully composed pads, voice samples of strange creatures chatting amongst each other in the distance, quirky lows and highs shooting off into every direction against a wicked drum evolution, and enveloping communities of highly mastered and thought out art are splattered onto a wonderfully done canvas, crafting together the very passions expressed by Spruce. Tribal, dark, vicious, strange, beautiful, harmonic, chaotic, progressive, unexpected, heavy, light, engulfing, relaxing, atmospheric, exotic, addictive, and epic are only a few words that come to mind when I take a listen to this incredible collection of professional done journeys. It is impossible for me to talk about every song in here. There are multiple intros in each song, building up different vibes and moods that can either collapse randomly and move onto something else or melodically adjust into an organized structure. Then, all of a sudden, sound without definition erupts from the darkness and obliterates your prediction on what you think is going to happen. You will be surprised and delighted at every turn. Even as a sound programmer, there are times when I have no idea what the hell is going on… and I fucking love it. If you want to start off with a sample, listen to the track "Rgyud" (11:34). It has a bunch of stuff in it. Orchestration, ambience, heavy dark bass, light and beautiful pads, exotic arps and oscillations, and much, much more is presented in there. I mean my God, I can not understand how anyone can come up with this. It is truly is ingenious. The next track, "Ya-O-Yorozu No Kame" has a more recognizable soundset, nesting in a steady danceable pace. It makes my body move and my head think. Even with a more conventional progression, this track still offers an undefined genre. Is it Trance? Is it Darkpsy? Is it Bluegrass? I don't know. All I know is that this guy has made some really fantastic tunes. As a DJ, I am going to enjoy giving the crowd a surprise with this one. Oh yeah, and the outros and transitions your going to hear from each track will blow you away. It takes a lot of time and effort to really appreciate this album. There is so much to explore. So much to understand. So much to experience. I can not fully express just how incredible I feel this album is. I am taken on a roller coaster of emotions, feeling happy, scared, sad, and eager all at the same time. All in all, its feels amazing. There is no way I can really express everything in this album. You have to listen to it for your self. An ingenious composition awaits, go out there and download it. I recommend listening to one song a time, taking it all in and breathing a bit before moving on. This is not for the faint hearted. Listen responsibly, the frequencies in the FLAC format are everywhere, and you can hurt your ears if you listen to it all in one sitting. Get ready to hear things you have never heard before. Your brain may not know how to take it. Enjoy, and feel the music. 10/10 Download here on Bandcamp (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Bandcamp for the download bandwidth.
  18. This is an experimental Goa trance track I made something like 1 month ago. Enjoy.
  19. Hello, this is the first IDM-ish downtempo track I've produced. Enjoy. https://soundcloud.com/cynodelic/smell-of-autumn"> https://soundcloud.com/cynodelic/smell-of-autumn" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="100%">
  20. So this is probably the most interesting mix I've ever done. Firstly, I want to make sure everyone understands that the title of the mix or the genre tag "braindance" is implying no sort of pretentious measure of intelligence on the listener, to where only "smart people" can listen to this. However, you must enter this mix with an open mind. I have ventured into some very experimental territory, playing tracks with rich textures, crystal-clear melodies, and neuron-tickling soundscapes that rely heavily on glitching and programming. I had an awesome time making this. 23. Quadra Tron is the name of my debut EP that I decided to release online. It contains three songs made in 2003-2004 period and style is some mixture between funk'n'experimental goa trance and early psy trance. This EP is available for digital download in WAV/FLAC/MP3 formats for price of 2$. For previews and downloads, please visit this page: http://neogoa.bandcamp.com/album/quadra-tron-ep 1) Realms Of Consciousness (08:08) - 140 BPM 2) Implementation Through Quadra (07:45) - 148 BPM 3) Deathless Machinery (08:47) - 146 BPM I was never too much into music production and never had knowledge or conditions for some more serious stuff but this one is made with a lot of passion and love, so yeah thoose silly tunes means a lot to me, I hope that you'll enjoy in them as much as I'm enjoying Artwork:
  24. Artist: Rainbow Static Title: Tickle My Bunny Fone Label: Bunny Fone Date: September, 2011 01 - Cute Pounce (162 BPM) 02 - Peeb. (201 BPM) 03 - Yes and Bite (197 BPM) 04 - Cake Barf (152 BPM) 05 - diVabetes (77 BPM) You know I don't watch Dr. Phil, but I gotta side with him on this one. I had to review this. Had to. It is the most bizarre and ridiculous sh*t to ever hit these ears. Obviously it is a joke, because nobody can make music this bad on purpose. They're probably really cool guys and I would love to talk to them, but this makes me think that they made a bunch of crap, knew it was crap, and then piss all over people for thinking it's crap. The project is Bunny Static and Rainbow Fone from the Pacific Northwest and I'll be honest, the only reason I wanted to hear this was due to the ridiculous BPM's. 201? Really? Well that and the entertaining discussion it spawned on Ektoplazm. So what's up? This sounds like cats thrown in a blender with pitched up beats which makes sense because they call it psy-prance. It's stupid vocals twisted up becoming unintelligeable and annoying. And the first track is over 9 minutes long. Do you have any idea how excruciating this was? Forget dancing to this or following a melody...that sh*t need not apply. This is music...wait, no it isn't. Sure some hipster is going to say it's creative and artistic, but I have to disagree. This is what you send to someone when you hate them. It's high speed noise with cartoon effects and vocal samples thrown in that has no musical value whatsoever. You know what Suomi sounds like? Take that and multiply it by 11. But that's not fair to that entire genre because at least that is musical. For God's sake it has samples of some guy puking and a bunch a drunks singing Pour Some Sugar On Me. Kudos to Ektoplazm for putting this up on his site because it shows that he doesn't discriminate against anyone's music. I'd rather be that guy than listen to this again. Hey I hated it, but I'll leave that for you to decide. Ektoplazm Mdk
