Here at DAT Records, Mark and I are extremely energized and excited to announce to everyone what we have been cooking up in the last 6 months at least. Before that, we had only bits and pieces of ideas but then it became a clear vision and we chased it to the point where we could grasp it and transform it into reality. We wanted to make a compilation - not just any compilation but something epic that would take you on a journey up there somewhere. So we started collecting tracks and then we realized how amazing it would be if we could have only remixes of real classics on it because... well, they exist! So from a generic VA (there are more of those in the pipeline), we transformed our first compilation into the perfect journey through parallel realities, with well-known masterpieces presented in ways that you have never heard before. With no further mumbo jumbo or wordplay, I am pleased to announce officially our compilation "Analog Dreams": 1 Hallucinogen - LSD '93 2 Space Tribe - The Great Spirit (Original Mix) 3 Doof - We Are Free (Desk Mix) 4 Slinky Wizard - Funkus Munkus (Alternate Mix) 5 Green Nuns Of The Revolution - Ring Of Fire (Live Mix) 6 Total Eclipse - Free Lemonade (Live in Paris 1995) 7 Etnica - Full On (Alternate Mix) 8 Prana - Voyager 2 9 Nervasystem - Whirling Dervish (Kaleidoscope Mix) EVERY track in this compilation is a storming killer and the energy of the progression of tracks is outstanding! We start with a twist on the most classic track ever: the first version of the iconic Hallucinogen work that would become the legendary LSD, the original track that was played in Goa in 1993 and which would lead to the trademark sound of Simon's later releases. Then we move to the amazing original mix of Space Tribe's The Great Spirit, an epic and spiritual track that is as powerful as it is beautiful. Things start to move deeper with the brooding and driving desk mix of the brilliant Doof track We Are Free. Now that our gears are oiled and running, we can unleash the powerful energy of Slinky Wizard with this alternate mix of Funkus Munkus that will get you grooving. We finally reach the apex with an extended live mix of Green Nuns of the Revolution's monster tune Ring Of Fire. Prepare to hurtle through the cosmos, Space Cadets, because you *cannot* imagine how energizing and mind-blowing this track is - we were speechless when we heard it and are still on Cloud 9. Then, even if you think it's not possible, we go even higher with this super-duper-hyperbolic live mix of Total Eclipse's Free Lemonade from a 1995 Paris performance. Please remember to be more careful from whom you accept free lemonade - there is no need for lemonade, as this track is enough for a magical trip ! And then we stabilize in hyperspace with the magnificent long, haunting alternate mix of Etnica's Full On, which appears for the first time ever fully unmixed on CD. Now as we prepare to come back to Earth, we present you the groovy, beautifully refreshing, and extremely rare mix of Voyager 2 by Prana. We then close this splendid compilation with the spiritual and mystical downtempo mix of Nervasystem's Whirling Dervish, a track that we loved the minute we heard it first. To prepare this compilation was a long and complex process of detective work and discussion. I want to thank Mark Ainley for his help and dedication in this. We have been compiling and assembling something we are sure that you will enjoy for as many years as these tracks were hidden. And this is the first of a series of three compilations... Virtuart is Oliver Abitbol and he is somewhat of an under appreciated artist. Two of the three tracks see him collaborate with Chronomyst. His name is also Oliver so I can only assume he cloned himself for double the awesome. If you've got a better explanation I'm all ears. But the chances of a country like France having two people named Oliver are really...well, they're actually pretty good. In fact I actually know someone from France named Oliver. Sh*t it must be like John over here. First let me tell you this sounds delicious so kudos to messieur Abitbol for doing the remaster. Spiraling melodies soar over angelic pads as the music cradles you through the clouds. The lead in Sacred Drop dances like something one would hear from Colorbox so maximum points there. But the best is saved for last, a storming beast of a track with a melody that seems unending. Fantastic! DAT you've done it again! Now if you'll excuse me whilst I put my pants back on. It's with great and enormous pleasure that I announce that... we almost did it!!! Tracks have been mastered, stories of the tracks been written and Artwork almost completed! The pressing plant is just waiting for the material to go pressing and we aim to release around 1st December The Artsts who generously donated the tracks are, in alphabetical order: ust in alphabetical order: 33rd Rate Revolutionaries, Astronomix, Byte 1, Etnica, Excess Head, Infinite Zen, Kaledoid, MWNN, OOOD & Moonweed, RA, Ree.K, Subcouds, The Infinity Project, Total Eclipse, Tromesa, Underhead & Zerotonine.... Total number of tracks is still 20, some just donated more than one track! Prepare for a Blast this Xmas!!!

Hello Everyone, most of you know my love for DAT tapes and unreleased oldschool goa trance, but there is something that bothers me, and that is unknown unnamed tracks and obscure untraceable artists. I long time ago joined Pavlos in the venture of organizing and categorizing the unreleased tracks on discogs to have a guide, a reference and know who made what and what was never released. But during my DAT ripping ventures I have found obscure project names, no name tracks, fake names etc and therefore I decided to give the good old youtube a go. Why not post the first 4 minutes of all my unknowns? There is a chance someone knows them and can help me out.
