Live instruments sounds pour distinct power into the music and you’ll hear them in almost each track of the album including Big Vargan track where the project author Nik Klimenko is playing the vargan himself. You may know well each track of the album but due to the quality mastering by Manifold Studio all the tracks of the Spiritus album have gained new sounding. 3. First you listen to this track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUlKJOOE3K4 So this is a track from VA - Boulevard of Broken Drums which I think is an amazing album. I've searched the web for these artists housing under Cosm Records, and they seem to release pretty mediocre psytrance mostly. Since I can't rely on these guys to release more of this stuff I'm asking if anyone here know of similar psybreaks. I am aware of Broken Robot records but it's not the same. And I really want more of the same this time. Anyone?
  4. Well, the summer is nearly over and that means its time for more psybreaks! Keeping with the robot theme, this mix is about a mech assassin. Stealthily, he infiltrates the mech compound and blasts them all with his gigantic fucking gun. Look at that thing. That thing could blow up entire planets. Anyway, this mix starts off nice and slow, and I keep it funky, chunky, and dark. I never break 128 BPM. It gets seriously intense though, so don't think you're in for an easy ride. This is a war against the machines! Neurodriver - Man Made (Hedflux Remix) [broken Robot] Colombo - We Are Back [iBreaks] Boson - Blackout (Retroid Remix) [Ego Shot] MartOpetEr - Homegrown Disaster (Roboteknic Remix) [Divergence] Retroid - Last Seraphim (Fisso & Spark Remix) [Ego Shot] Ghettface & Yanix - Blackout [Ridiculoud] Too Dusty - Stardust [Tek] Ogza - Quasar [Progrezo] Isolate - Sadhana (MDK Remix) [in Bloom] Blazer - Low Gravity [Ayra] Feuerhake - Under Pressure (Kiwa Remix) [Logariddim] Elite Force - We Are Distrikt [u&A] The Riddler - Debeli Gmaz [Logariddim] Far Too Loud - We Want To Dance [Funkatech] Aggresivenes - Into Oblivion (Affective Remix) [Elektroshok] Ziptnf - Mech Assassin (1:17:36) 178MB ~320kbps Image credit to GeorgeLovesyart Enjoy!

  7. Hi, party people! I hope you'll check out my latest effort - Infinite Monkey, which is a psybreaky piece that I think turned out rather nicely. It's got elements of psytrance, breaks and Goa trance (the Goa part evolves from around the middle of the track towards the end). Infinite Monkey @ Soundcloud
  8. Hey guys. Can anyone recommend me any real tribal psybreaks? Most of the psybreaks i found are definitely NOT psy. If for instance you listen to the Broken Robot records (they themselves as psybreaks) - they are in fact just a normal breaks breaks, neurofunk and all that robot slyle music. I'm looking for tribal, ethnic, shamanic psy groove. So hard to find real one... This direction i'm talking about: https://soundcloud.com/ra-djan/ra-maayan https://soundcloud.com/mettakin/vodun
  9. Following up on Robot Supremacy, I'm dropping another full-blast powerbreaks mix. I broke into a sweat while recording due to the torrential flood of energy. Play this one very loud, preferably while doing some type of physical activity. It also helps if you pretend you're a giant robot, running around blowing things up. 10. Album: The Adventures of Multi-Dimensional Caterpillar Artist: Mindex Genre: Drum n Bass, Psybreaks Label: Time Resonance Music Size: 54MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations Track List: 01 - Spring Madness (feat. Do) 02 - Funky Monkey 03 - Sambuca And Milk 04 - Zephyr 05 - Electroshock Remember when the world was run on sexy downtempo jazz with a dash of airy guitars and drum and bass progression? You would be lying if you answered yes, because that never happened. Mindex decided it was about time to throw out some quirky originality for all to enjoy, putting together an uptempo set of DnB tracks. Typically, drum and bass gets pretty old after a while. We all have been there. When you first discover the genre you think to yourself, "Well golly gee this drum pattern is fucking great!". Then, three albums later, your making fun of it with friends. This is why It is refreshing to hear innovation, and apparently it takes a space shifting insect to make this happen. In fact, I am pretty sure if I close my eyes for long enough, I can join this "multi-dimensional caterpillar" in a joyful journey. I love the theme and find it highly entertaining. I will admit, this album took a little bit to get use to. It has a lot of melody. The style, however, is extremely rewarding. The constant fancy jazziness creates euphoric happiness… and I feel the need to dance! As I listen to these tracks, my body gets up and screams. The artist really knows how to get people up and moving, using a combination of funky grooves, jazzy influences, and dead-on fantastic drums. It reminds me of the classic surfer rock from the 70s, mixed with old school uptempo styles and rocking jam sessions. From the very beginning in Spring Madness, Mindex takes pride in being different with his drum lines and guitar riffs. Then, in Funky Monkey, he takes on a more electronic feel with a handful of juicy synths. Best of all, it is all proper quality. If you enjoy dancing to chill out beat grids mixed with a nice collection of real instruments, then you need to download this right now. The pace is perfect! The vibes are excellent! Sure, it gets pretty repetitive, I mean it IS drum and bass, but you know what… I don't care. This character fills in all the gaps, keeps things interesting, and brightens the mood of any room with nice tunes. If you want a sample, listen to Sambuca And Milk around the 3:45 marker. That is so cool. There are many moments like that, jamming out with some kickass organs, smooth guitars, and deep bassos. Personally, I find this to be one of the better drum and bass albums out there and consider it to be innovative to the core. 9/10 Download Here on Ektoplazm (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review written by FatKidWitAJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thanks to Ektoplazm for the Download Bandwith - Special Thanks to Slava Semenikhin for the artwork!
  11. Anima Fuga: http://radjan.bandcamp.com/track/anima-fuga Ra Djan is a live-electronic duo from Tel Aviv, Kiev & Tashkent. Their style is an eclectic mixture of psychedelic breaks, ethnic beats, shamanic mysticism and electronic flashes. Band has no boundaries in music genres: art is created only when genre comes after the ideas and intuition, and not when it is mediated by fashion or mainstream.

  15. [COSM008] V.A. - Boulevard of Broken Drums ... a sonic rollercoaster ride through epic psybreaks and trippy trancefunk OUT NOW - CD & DOWNLOAD After another longer period of silence from our side we are beaming back with great news from our cosm records headquarter - we have had a fruitful time and are glad to announce our next big strike. Your patient waiting for our announced psybreaks ep has not been in vain, but we have turned the ep into a fully fledged CD compilation: V.A. - Boulevard of Broken Drums ... a sonic rollercoaster ride through epic psybreaks and trippy trancefunk [COSM008CD] • OUT NOW: on CD & digital download We have gathered the core of our cosm crew together to weave their sonic magic and furthermore opened the heavy doors of our vault to give some of our previously released gems the fresh slice and dice of psybreaks. Drawing from the whole spectrum of psychedelic dance and beyond - Boulevard of Broken Drums features a futuristic fusion of banging psybreaks, spicy trancefunk and quirky dubstep - while staying true to the colorfully atmospheric cosm records trademark sound. Opened with Electric Sheep's epic trippy-disco breaks of "Futureshock" and Metabreed's hypnotic acidwobbler "God Computer", the rollercoaster is going steep with Paraphone's "Psychedelic Embassy" and Metabreed's epic psytrance classic "Karmaceutica" - both given the psybreaks treatment from cosm powerhouses Electric Sheep. The centrifugal force of Metabreed delivers an acid-rave monster of a remix of Digipack's "Electronic Outlaw Underground" and the transcendental tripletfunk re-interpretation of 6th Floor's glitchtrance breaktrancer "Dawn Of A New Error". Gathering further momentum, Digipack's massive psybreaks trancefunker "Bleepwalker" is contrasted with the bleepy fluff of Audiotope's "Spinning" sugar candy psy. Landing with Hermetica's chillstep wobbler "Every God Has His Day" - Boulevard of Broken Drums ... a sonic rollercoaster ride through epic psybreaks and trippy trancefunk" [COSM008CD] is a cosmicpsyfunkbreaktrancestep extravaganza at it's best. 18. Artist: ECT Title: ECT - Extra Celestial Transmission: The Remasters Label: Ektoplazm Date: May, 2011 01 - ECT & Mass - Magic Dart (136 BPM) 02 - ECT & Mass - Monkey Shines (140 BPM) 03 - ECT - Squawk (142 BPM) 04 - ECT - Catapult (144 BPM) 05 - ECT - Snowblind (145 BPM) 06 - ECT - Mäelström (146 BPM) 07 - ECT & Mass - Angry Little Men (With Sharp Sticks) (140 BPM) 08 - ECT & Mass - Ants 4 Breakfast (144 BPM) "Exterminate all rational thought." What do you get when you mix one part James Brown funky drumming, one part liquid bass so nasty you have to check if you shat yourself, and one part gutteral leads that range from a growling rumbling to an ear scorching bleeding? You get this. This is the work of Leigh Griffiths and these tunes were to be his debut album but somehow that never happened. Well, lucky for us this collection has been placed in a nice little free package so that we can enjoy this British producers work. These tracks were made in between 1997 and 1998 so you can expect heavy doses of psychedelia as well as some goa goodness. And it's nothing like I have heard. As I mentioned there is the drumming which could be done on a real kit for all I know as it sounds that real. A dark component is there as well as effects ripple in between the screaming and scraping leads. It's very overloaded and like the promo says "a digital polish" with "everything on 11" has been applied. From the chaotic screaching of the lead in Monkey Shines to the alien creatures of Squawk skittering over this planet's surface. Everything is intense and pushes the gas pedal all the way to the floor. Ever take a turn at 90mph? Well this barrel rolls about 20 times and keeps on going. Catapult has a bassline that reminds me of Colorbox as well as sounding like Koxbox. That's a lot of box and this box has some aggressive goa tendencies. Snowblind is an effects driven show and Angry Little Men (With Sharp Sticks) and Ants 4 Breakfast is...f*ck me I don't know what it is. Acid sodomy? I dunno... But what's cool about this release is that it undergoes so many transformations within the track that you really are taken on quite the ride. It's hard to believe that this was made almost 15 years ago. You're not gonna find a main melody that keeps getting repeated. Oh no, just a healthy heaping of psychedelic madness with pumping rhythms and crystal clear sounds. It might be a bit much to take in one sitting, but give it a shot. I don't think you will be disappointed. Variety, she is the spice of life no? Ektoplazm Mdk
