  1. This is the set I played at Mossy Behavior last weekend after a unique act by Droidsect! I was asked to play from Droidy towards Ka-Solly music, so this is what I came up with. I wanted to play sexy, muddy and playful Forest, from new to old and top it off with intense Goa tracks. Enjoy!
  2. Helloooo I finished a new track and uploaded it, to contribute to the trippyness of this world. Feel free to give your feedback. Enjoy :-)
  3. Hello everybody. My sixth set, this time mostly with goa trance, that changes from uplifting, to darker and again to uplifing. Hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think
  4. Hello Psynews! Mystic Sound Records proudly unveils a “Levels Of Imagination” to its devoted listeners – a new album by Maiia303 and the label’s one step further immersion into Goa-trance domain. https://mysticsound.bandcamp.com/album/maiia303-levels-of-imagination Tracklist: 01. Long Awaited Journey 02. Levels Of Imagination 03. Goasana (Album Mix) 04. Beyond Borders Of Mind 05. Temple Of Sound 06. Calling The Tribe 07. Explorer Of The Fantasy Worlds 08. Connection With The Great Spirit 09. Sun Of Anjuna 10. Electric Particles (Album Mix) Release info: It comes as a rejuvenation motion towards classic Goa-trance via modern approach to musical production, manifesting itself as a bright flashback to the roots of ole-loved psytrance culture that had once expanded worldwide in a rolling wave of new-age glory. Delightfully relished with deep and dynamic flow of arpeggio tricks and juicy sound of classic synthesisers like famed Roland 303, the album won’t leave anyone unmoved. So let the music bestow you the “Levels Of Imagination”. Let it awaken energies and instinctive knowledge hidden deeply inside and partly forgotten, but still living in every soul. Let it show you the stunning and beautiful alchemy of altered mindscaping, coming to life through ecstatic trance dance. 5. Artist: Various Title: SpaceDock Records Goa trance Legacy by Kanc Cover Vol.4 Label: SpaceDock Records Release: 26 December, 2018 1.Ephedra & Imba - From Star To Star 2. Hypnagogia - Cosmic Interference 3. Goasia - Polar Lights 4. Omegahertz - Kissing Nebula 5. Omnivox & Hand Of Damaru- Magical Mountain 6. M-Run - Vastness 7. Jikooha - Indigos 8. Via Axis - The 4th State (Psychowave 2018 Remix) 9. Nebula Meltdown - Epsilon Orionis Spacedock Records Goa Trance legacy series has, since Vol. 1 been a collection of fun tracks showcasing artistic talent from planet earth. Every comp has at least 3 tracks that are out of this world amazing, and a bunch of good-great tracks that open up themselves up upon more and more listens. A mix of old established artists and new artists can be found on their comps with little difference in track quality and direction. I thought Vol.3 was pretty awesome, I also thought that 2018 was done for albums after Proxeeus. But no, Spacedock sneaks one last incredible compilation of tracks to blow us all away. Ephedra & Imba - From Star To Star: A solid track all in all but it jumps into the main act pretty quickly and carries it throughout. I wouldn't pick this as an album opener but would certainly still place it on the comp. Lots of drive, strong sound design and great lead work. Hypnogogia - Cosmic Interference: A solid theme follows this track from start to finish. And boy oh boy does it get better and better. A pretty big climax at the end that Makes it one of my favourites. Goasia - Polar Light: A strong progression takes us into a track that really encapsulates its title I feel like i'm flying through the aurora borealis while i listen to this. When i listen in my car I get the urge to close my eyes and see where I end up. But then i realise I'll miss the rest of the track when I slide off the side of the road into a hot Australian bushfire where I narrowly escape with my life but then get pecked to death by Kookaburras, simply not worth it. The ending is bliss. Omegahertz - Kissing Nebula: Well. What can I say but that this inspired me to go back and listen to everything else I have by Omegahertz, it wasn't enough so I've gone through Stax and realised that I love his style. But I love this song the most. Pure psych up track that gets me in the mood for anything that i need to be in the mood for. Omegahertz is something of an anthem creator but nothing compares to Kissing Nebula. If he released another album I'd buy 2. This track is killer, which gives 2019 another stellar track that makes picking a favourite hard. Omnivox & Hand of Demaru - Magical Mountain: A little Darker than you would expect a track called magical mountain to be, but then again not all magic is light and fluffy 'turn you into a pumpkin marshmallow' sort of magic. And then again it's not that dark 'so shut up already Tsotsi'. Alright alright, after Omegahertz's track it's hard to like anything as much. The truth is that when I play this track it's a certified banger. Omnivox has had some fun with Hand Of Demaru before, her soundcloud is mostly ambient so I can't tell what her influence is here. Atmosphere? I can say that the sway potential of this track is 10 sways out of 10 sways. Another anthem that would have a crowd under it's complete control. M-Run - Vastness: A huge unexpected track from M-Run. I follow him on FB and it looks like his constantly cooking bomb ass tracks in his studio. But of all the tracks i've heard from him this is the most unique in structure. That uniqueness is what I love about M-run. The distinct sounds are still there but the structure has been flipped, turned, chopped & screwed. Oh did i mention that it was wild? I've seen M-run crowds, it looks like an earthquake is bumping people around on a trampoline. That's music for you. Jikooha - Indigos: We soften things down a bunch with a Jikooha track. this wasn't what i was expecting when i saw Jikooha follow M-run on a comp. I was thinking way more crazy leads zippig and twirling. But you know what, this track is infectious. A slow burner that burns brighter and brighter as it goes on. It has an oldskool feel to it in its style and is super cruisy. Via Axis - The 4th State (Psychowave 2018 Remix): Don't know the original, don't know Via Axis but I know Psychowave. 'Dont be proud of your ignorance Tsotsi'. Look, let's move on; nothing since Sunshine Reborn has really captivated me in the same way from Psychowave. However, there is a very noticeable improvement in clean production and many more collabs are coming out. The synths that come in at 3:20 make a big difference and feel like metal being struck with jolts of electricity. We also get to learn a little about consciousness and then we get a finale worth writing home about. Nebula Meltdown - Epsilon Orionis: the fastest track on the comp but hardly feels like it. To me this was Vol.4's follow up to Manmademans Vol.3 track. Only placed at the other end of the comp. Very progressive. But it's a progressive world. Peer reviewed thesis's about dog humping and heteronormativity with fake data are being published in the states. But what's that got to do with another favourite track from Spacedock Goa Trance Legacy by Kanc Cover Vol.4? I can't remember... Progression, that's right. A track that demands your attention and closes this bad boy off nicely. Also the track I wanted the most when i first heard it. I'm as happy as a little fat spider right now. My top 10 for 2018 is pretty much just going to be Goa compilations and I'm fine with that. All tracks were certified 100% grassfed, sustainably grown bangers. But Omnivox was definitely my favourite. https://spacedockrecords.bandcamp.com/album/sdrcd05-va-goa-trance-legacy-by-kanc-cover

  7. Proxeeus, aka Jerome Lesterps from France, has been elucidating the goa scene for a while now. His free debut album At The Mountains of Madness was a raw interlude of his potential. The second statement Weird Tales surprised many of us with a fantastic progression in song structure and production it its entirety compared to the debut. He was getting better and better. After that Proxeeus appeared on a number of compilations with stellar tracks such as Cthulhu Lives (Lotus) and Me, myself, and a Gnop-keh (Elan Vital). These tracks unveiled the new sound of Proxeeus where he far supersedes what he has done in the past (and that was already very good). We got more melodies, more travelling and more energy. On december 21st 2018 his 3rd album was released, Non-Euclidean Geometry on Goa Madness Records. Many goa fans were looking forward to this end-of-year climax. And .... Proxeeus delivers with a bang! Title: Non-Euclidian Geometry Arist: Proxeeus Label: Goa Madness Records (Belgium) Released: December 21 2018 Format: CD and Digital Tracklist: 1. Liber Ivonis 10:15 2. Ephraim Waite 10:25 3. What the Red Glare Meant 08:42 4. The Hounds of Tindalos 10:02 5. Down the Six Thousand Steps 08:27 6. The Unnamable 09:55 7. Old Keziah 11:13 8. Yog-Sothoth is the Gate 09:23 9. And Madness Followed (BONUS TRACK) Proxeeus' tracknames are influenced by the fantasy stories of author H.P. Lovecraft. He wrote about other worlds and aliens so much bigger and smarter than humans, we couldn't even begin to understand it. No soft mellow intro here, Liber Ivonis immediately gets the goa vibe going with so much melodies and kicking bass. It's a train that never stops. If you are looking for acid, just leave the album playing, because the second bliss Ephraim Waite is all that and more! Acid, more acid, and even more acid!! Intertwined with lovely warm synth melodies this track is a blaster. And the clarity of the sounds, wow, I can almost touch them. What the red glare meant thrives on a sort of hollow sound and starts a tad darker. But the majestic synths are back to take over. As a treat Proxeeus creates a metallic acid sound, Emmanuel Top like, like techno on speed. Very night-ish psychedelic stuff right here. The finale is super trippy. Proxeeus means business, and continues this bulldozer of an album with The hounds of Tindalos, a synth loaded and darker sounding track with acid blips in the back making you crazy. Hell, there is even an epic melody finishing with synths/acid mixed together to give an unforgettable dancefloor experience. Down the Six Thousand steps begins lighthearted but transforms rather quick in a dark monster where Proxeeus decides to take the aggressiveness up a notch. Next up is the liquid track The Unnamable. Liquid because of the sounds and the organic feel of it. Each minute we hear a new journey, but they flow flawlessly into each other. From warm to harsh and back to warm. Old Keziah is total immersion in Proxeeus land. Pulsating synths and acid fly around. How he creates the screaming climax is pure genius. The last track of the physical cd is Yog-Sothoth is The gate. Futuristic goa trance with sweet and banging melodic synth lines. The progression throughout the track is great again. Nothing feels monotonous, not predictable at all. That's the catch. And the fact that you know you're getting a great ending is so rewarding and pleasant. A joyful bonus track And Madness Followed is granted in the digital version on bandcamp. A 10 minute long odyssey to get all those goa brains melting on the dancefloor is the cherry on the cake. What a demolition track. We made it! Sooooo: The album is extremely coherent sound- and structure wise. You can listen to one track and be blown away, but the whole album is such an experience that you have to listen to it in its entirety. And appreciate it in its full length. The production quality is superb and not one single sound is out of place. Every track takes you on a journey to a parallel universe. Proxeeus is at the forefront of goa trance and this album is his magnum opus. Well, maybe until the next one. Who knows what comes next?? Jerome has much more to show us, I'm sure. Art like this only comes along once in a while. E-Mantra's Arcana, Artifact303's Back To Space, and now Proxeeus' Non-Euclidian Geometry. You nailed it, mister. Hats off. Veasna - 5ynergy

Artist: Veasna Title: 5ynergy - 5th Anniversary EP Label: Self-released Date: December 1, 2018 1. Dreams 2. Mu Cephei 3. Discovery 4. Infrared 5. Chromatron Veasna is Patrick Dinklage, a trance music maker who among other things likes producing trance and letting people listen to it. I've heard it said that he balances between the old and the new like a complete champ. And no, I still haven't listened to Spectral flux (I'm waiting to buy it), so until now I haven't had much of an impression. But that all changes today. I put this bad boy on and ooh ah did i enjoy at least 4 of them. Dreams: I played this in the car first, now I've had problems with my car speakers before making some trance (Lectro Spektral) sound bothersome. They strike again with the white noise snare that comes in at 1:20. I stuck it out, and tried again on a bunch of headphones, still annoying but not painful, sounds like the noise the protogoa team decided to bury in 89. Every part of this track is great bar for that one sound that persists throughout the entire track. Mu Cephei: A super funky lead driven piece that doesn't run out of ideas. No sir this is pure floaty, happy trance, uplifting & fun. Discovery: The happy atmospheres get pushed away as something more ominous begins. the intro is cool, the kicks are beefed up, the bassline rides between layers smoothly. Then the leads come in, and the zippiness begins and takes us away. Infrared: This EP just keeps getting better and better. This track is craziness on heat, skittles on ice, stir-fry in Malaysia. You get it, its a good track, but it becomes AMAZING at the 4 minute mark. THICK leads come in and get swirled around by layers on layers. undoubtedly my favourite. Chromatron: So where to now? Oh whats that? You can make an equally as wild track as infrared but completely different? Lord take me. I can't even tell if Dinklage loops his sounds, his leads go on and on and on and then they change and do it all over again. A close 2nd favourite. This EP gets exponentially better as it goes on. each track is better than the last until it climaxes into a sticky mess of Goa fury. The last two tracks are what i'd recommend you buy this for, but you got a floaty number and a big basslined number too. It's a shame the digipack kickstarter project didn't get it's legs and run away with our money but on the 8th of february 1942 general Arthur Percival surrendered Singapore to Japanese forces, after already stating "In going to Malaya I .... finding myself involved in a pretty sticky business with the inadequate forces which are usually to be found in the distant parts of our Empire in the early stages of a war." He was forced to surrender with a white flag in the lead of his forces, captured, and upon release blamed as being ineffectual as a General. So things could be worse. Definitely recommend this EP. https://veasna.bandcamp.com/album/5ynergy-5th-anniversary-ep

  14. Quick quick, before the end of the year a review of another Suntrip album must be written! Artist: Denshi Danshi Label: Suntrip Records Format: CD and Digital Released: October 19, 2018 Tracklist: 01. Parallel Universe (Original Mix) 08:28 02. Starjna (Original Mix) 08:58 03. Leave The World Behind (Original Mix) 09:55 04. Alpha Omega (Original Mix) 07:59 05. Blink Of An Eye (Original Mix) 07:41 06. Brain Chemistry (Original Mix) 09:31 07. Sukha (Original Mix) 10:12 08. Lemmon 714 (Original Mix) 07:33 09. The Upside Down (Original Mix) 08:37 Lovely title, lovely cover. Denshi Danshi are a duo from France. Earlier they released Fluid Dynamics with some older unreleased tracks. I admit that it didn't grab my attention. I wasn't in for the old sound. But here they deliver a modern goa album filled with some heavy dancing monsters. Parallel Universe uses screeching acid lines surrounded by a lush melodic atmosphere. Very trancy! A bright opener. Starjna starts with a rolling bassline. Without hesitating, goa melodies fly around. All parts of the song flow into one another so organic. Beautiful. Technically this is very strong. But also story-wise, it is very intriguing and pleasant. A bouncy track! Leave The World Behind has a darker forest-like bassline, less my style. The centre of the track involves real psychedelic goa melodies. Besides the gloomier bassline underneath, the song breathes power, light and dancing legs. It gets better and better near the end. Alpha Omega is a multi-layered bomb. Very acidic, uplifting and bubbly. It has it all. Again crisp production. Ace track. And very danceable. A tad darker is Blink Of An Eye. A linear track that goes for the hypnotic feel. Not mesmerizing, but will do the job on the floor. The title track Brain Chemistry has my love. This is pure trance. How the epic break is surrounded by goa elements is superb. The rest of the track oozes speed and energy. Sukha blesses us with a lovely and addictive heavy bassline throughout the whole track. Things get real psychedelic here. I would go completely mental when I would hear this at a party. The track runs for more than 10 minutes and offers a lot in that time. Very exciting and warm! The drop at 6:43 is funny as hell. Lemmon 714 is the easier track here. It's hard to be amongst all those other dancefloor stompers. Make no mistake, this is no resting track. But compared to the rest of the album, this one takes it easy. Not my favorite and not memorable, but good to slow it down a little before the end. The final track The Upside Down is again slower. Denshi Danshi goes for a soft landing. This is a very trancy track that will hypnotise you step by step. Good closing of the album. The way I sense it, there is no red line through this album, story- or structure-wise. That's not a bad thing though. All tracks display a clear beautiful sound and are made strictly for dancing. It's no cult or classic album, but when in need of a good and firm goa shot or some beats for in the car, pick a track and you're good to go. Or play this at home just before going to a party. It will get you all psyched up! I love it! Buy links Suntrip Records Bandcamp Beatport Psyshop

    Va - 303 Syndroms

Artist: Various Title: 303 Syndrom Label: Mamomam Records Date: 10/10/2018 1. Hypnoxock - Heaven Can't Wait 2. Clementz - Medistajon 3. Median Project -Â Space Monkeys 4. Goad - Entranced 5. Jaraluca - The Ektoplazm 6. Omneon -Â Power of the Ori 7. Artha - Hall-Lux 8. Proxeeus - Suydam 9. Toxeed - Milky Way (Bonus Track) What a month for music. We've been blessed and cursed with a great set of October releases. Blessed because they all rock. Cursed because we must not only buy them all, but find the time to listen to this sweet sweet music coming our way. But I'm on holiday, so I have time and will I use it constructively? Learn a new skill, read a book, write a resume so I can apply for a job? That would be great, but you know whats better than all that? You do, I know you do, 9 Blistering tracks compiled by Mr Jaraluca. If that's not enough to stir up the hornet's nest within then just take a second look at that artwork. Still not cracking a woody? Surely that line up is all you need. Heaven Can't Wait - It can't, or maybe it can. I mean I thought I couldn't wait when i saw Hypnoxock opening this comp, but here I am. Wait I did and boy am i glad about that. An ominous intro leads quickly into a melody and some vocals then woah holy heck this becomes a great track. I still think that most tracks from Eurythmia are better than his singles but that probably has more to do with it being a masterpiece than anything. Still a good track. Medistajon - No autocorrect there, we aren't trying to spell meditation. Clementz is here with fat kicks and melodies that take you higher and higher. Balancing between light and dark for the duration of a track ain't always easy, but you wouldn't know it here. Space monkeys - Whether that's a kookaburra or a monkey really isn't important here. Median has done the usual and come in hot. That explosion after the breakbeat is incredible. This track takes you and Cappuccino the Capuchin directly through nebulas. Entranced - Goad takes us into cosmic space land which really is the most wonderful place to get Entranced. But with under 8 minutes and no real climax I feel like I just got dropped off at the edge of space and left there. The Ektoplazm - Jaraluca picks up where he left off with his last album. Only he got a little wilder, a lil more cray with the same Jaraluca full flavored spice. Very nice track. Power of the Ori - A nice spacetime banger that really take off at the 5 minute point. Man I love that moment. Raw leads and acid take center stage as Omneon marches us into battle with the full power of the Ori behind us. Hall-Lux - Did he just? Is this song the? How did he? ARTHA IS BAAAACK!! What ever he has been up to its well worth the wait. I'm saying my favourite track of the year so far. Clean screeching leads, melodies and perfect direction changes. A little bit of classic Artha dancing around a modern new sound Artha. Every element of this track is done to absolute perfection. I can only say nice pretty things. Suydam - After his track on the Va - Lotus, I really can't do anything to contain my excitement by seeing his name on a lineup. I don't need a reminder why but if I did this track would be it. While I'd probably dislocate my shoulder trying to keep up with this. Milky way (bonus track) - Do you like digital album bonus tracks? As some one who only buys digital it never really feels like a bonus track, feels more like, a track. But I'm not complaining. Another track! The comps not over! And boy am I happy about that. Toxeed comes in fast and hard with some great story telling and really cool melodies. Now I have to go and listen to his older works, I've been turnt. I'd absolutely lose my marbles if I heard this on a dancefloor. More bonus tracks! What a goshdang goddang ride. There are so many good tracks on this compilation that every time I think I have a favourite another comes along and steals my attention. While 604 Syndroms felt more dance floor friendly and spacious, 303’s is mostly space fuelled and a great homage to the instrument that made this genre what it is. I'm hoping more people purchase this to encourage more Goa comps from Mamomam. Well done to all the artists, Jaraluca and Mamomam records on what will probably be the 1st or 2nd best comp of the year. https://mamomamrecords.bandcamp.com/album/va-303-syndroms
  16. Artist: Psychowave Title: Chronicles ep Label: Spacedock Records Date: July 27, 2018 1. Elephants In Pocitos 2. Fight Like A Woman 3. Life Waves Psychowave has produced two tracks which have found their way into my favourite list. His ear for melody and production technique is a treat and sends me into euphoria every time I listen. The new ep comes complete with some pretty artwork done by Natan himself and 3 tracks containing plenty of funk. Elephants In Pocitos - Not as many elephant sounds as I was expecting but still a well produced song thats got a fat baseline and trip atmospheres abound. Fight Like A Woman - Yea declare a never ending battle that you can escape from at any moment but subject your enemy to at any moment at your discretion. Yea that’ll do it. Great trippy song with good development and huge drums pounding away. Life Waves - A quick lesson on waves and a great collection of melodies intertwined with one another. My favourite of the three but just by a hair. This aint no Sunshine Reborn, but a less melodic more psychedelic trippier blast into happy land. Well done to SpaceDock for their continued support of a great artist, who has managed to avoid the norm of the Brazilian psytrance scene and produce Goa blasters. The title of the album suggests more eps to come in the same vein, I'm looking forward to those insta-buys. https://spacedockrecords.bandcamp.com/album/sddg014-psychowave-chronicles-ep
  17. Title: Shambhala Label: Global Sect Music Date: October 2018 Format : CD and Digital Tracklist: 1. Fiery Dawn - Magic Mirror 07:31 2. Skarma - Cianendeon ( Median Project Remix ) 08:53 3. Goasia - Hidden Waves 06:46 4. Median Project - Heaven and Earth (Omneon rmx) 08:10 5. Zopmanika - Namaskara Mantra II 08:58 6. Сentavra Project - Shambhala 09:18 7. Median Project - Scarab 07:26 8. Mindsphere - Floating in a Widescreen 12:11 9. Astrancer - Neighbor 10:14 DJ Adept's latest offering from Russia. Here we GO! For those who follow Global Sect music, you know what to expect. And they deliver more than that. Shambala is the bulls eye shot of Goa anno 2018. Opener is a down to mid-tempo track by Fiery Dawn. It has a nice groove, but I find it out of place on a compilation that is otherwise filled with space fuel. But ok, it gets you in the mood slowly. And then we're off for a goa rollercoaster without any disappointing tracks. Really, they are all fantastic! Median Project is back with a stunning remix of Skarma to crack the goa case open. Sweet melodies! Goasia in full force with a rolling bassline without pauses. Omneon takes on a remix of Median Project. Heaven and Earth gets a more acidic and raw facelift. Dance muttha's! I took an aromatic bath while listening to Zopmanika's belter Namaskara Mantra II. Good lord, kamasutra, India, spiritual lifting, and all that! It does it so well. Then we're off to space with Centavra's title track Shambhala. What great mixing in this track. Wonderful goa. Up and down we modulate. This disc is unstoppable, man. Median Project slams with his very own Scarab. This man only produces quality tracks nowadays. Scorching acid and goa synths flowing around from left to right. Amazing. And then, Mindsphere! Mindsphere treats us with a 12min(!) long goa odyssey. The lengths fits the quality. It's so good. A pleasure for the ears. His arpeggio's are back, and they are hot! And look who's back? Astrancer! Astrancer blesses us with the last track. He takes down the energy from the cd a notch, so we can all have a smooth comeback to earth in style. Great melodic easy listener. Conclusion: Don't hesitate to get this one! From start to finish this is what modern Goa is all about. Talented artists with a wealth of inspiration and skills. Goa lives!! 18. Hi all, Perhaps this question has been asked a while ago, but I can't find it. I'm interested in a statistic of you guys/girls frequenting goa parties. Here in Belgium there are parties every weekend (it seems), but I go to 1-2 parties per year (I'm 42 btw)? I have to say that the more I go, the more I love goa and its scene. The vibe is so great at parties. So I do intend to go more and more. I'm still a newbie. :-) How often do you go? You like small parties or big festivals? Can you describe the atmosphere? A.
