  3. Artist: Various Title: Undergrounded Label: Quantum Satis Records Date: January, 2014 01 - Ka-Sol - El Doktore (140 BPM) 02 - Zoon - Gate (Hada Remix) (144 BPM) 03 - Goch - Extemporary Devices (146 BPM) 04 - Schoiroideairis - Natural (148 BPM) 05 - Nirmanakayas - Deep Inside (147 BPM) 06 - Battle Of The Future Buddhas - Lacking It All (148 BPM) 07 - Grobians - Da Mind Twister (148 BPM) 08 - Taigan Sunset - Xmas Shoe Eater (148 BPM) 09 - Spirituz - Mind Warping Spirits (148 BPM) 10 - Cavedave - Bruced Lead (129 BPM) And now for something completely different. Dissonant sounds and dark journeys through a magic laden forest. That's the dream isn't it? Let's see what have we got here...Ka-Sol, yeah that track sounds like they handed in a rough draft, Gate is dreary wailing, but the Goch offering does it right. Dark and frightful it seems to strike the right balance between being terrifying and just putting a gun in your mouth. The cat in the blender style of Deep Inside shows the outright contempt for the swift justice of PETA, and Buddhas devolved into an evil trance like state brimming with tortuous screams of agony. Otherwise known as a drive through Harlem after midnight. The Grobians (Google wanted to call them the Fabiens, just sayin') is a bubbly pool of monotony. But at least nobody died during it. Actually I cannot prove that. Probably nobody died. Xmas Shoe Eater is my favorite due to its title of course, but also its funky swing and chuckling goblins. Liked Mind Warping Spirits also, some wicked fun. Lastly with the f*cking shocker of the week is some downtempo enter the dragon sh*t with Bruced Lead which would seem more appropriate on a Kaaya Project album than a forest compilation. Taken as a whole it sounds like someone spiraling into a wicked depression. This could be the soundtrack that a disturbed individual would use when he fantasizes about mowing down soccer moms in the produce department of Food Lion. If you have the slightest mental issue or irregularity please give this a wide berth. That said there is creativity here. And that's why I continue to listen to the forest and the dark stuff in the hope that an artist nails it and creates something mindblowing. Without making me want to eliminate the 10th grade of the local high school. Free at Ektoplazm Mdk

  11. Hi everyone, I hope you're doing ok:) I have been visiting this forum for a while now, but never registered until a few months ago. I've found some great music through here and the user's comments, but I'd like to ask for some suggestions now; Can anyone rec me some albums like Psykovsky's Debut & Fragletrollet's Playground of Spirit, please? I've been digging them for a long time and I'd love to listen more albums like those two. I love the atmospheres they create, the transitions between tracks and how they constantly evolve to really say something. I'm also looking forward to listening something like Battle of the Future Buddha's track 'Morron' on the album Masters of Outhouse. Thanks in advance

Is it possible that, by fault, it was destroyed by its own self? History has shown that when the system faces collapse, it tries to restart itself. This is what might have happened in the previous World Wars. Could the economic crisis of today lead to a ‘restart’ of the system? Could such an event trigger a nuclear holocaust, destroying everything down to the last spore? ‘VA – Spore Destruction’ is a psychedelic transition from the dark age we’re entering today, to the imminent final war of tomorrow. Rapid fire, laser guns, ion beams and nukes will teleport you into the most aggressive battlefield. But remember: In this War, no one wins! ////////////////////////////////////////// Message from Aghori Tantrik: Whilst I was meditating for Lord Shani or Saturn which represents the unwholesome in life, the decaying, the poor, the unorthodox and the low, i came across some intense visions of powerful and huge serpents. These serpents spanned sizes more than the size of Earth itself, fit for survival only in the raging storms of planet saturn. Why I was meditating on Saturn, because I had learnt an important and hard lesson in my life, and at this point if you want to convert pain to power, you go to Lord Shani.. Here is the song that came out as an spontaneous combustion from my internal universe after this powerful prayer to Lord Shani. I hope you enjoy the mind bending effects, i can recommend lying down in Shavasana and let these serpents move freely across your internal cosmos, the key is in your hands now - play with it in your own psychedelic manner! ~~~~~~~~~ Download Packs: MP3: https://depositfiles.com/files/35asgvru6 WAV: https://depositfiles.com/files/ypues4qlr

  15. CinderVOMIT - The Beast Within Album: The Beast Within Artist: CinderVOMIT Genre: Darkpsy, Psycore, Experimental Size: 335MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations (The artist is raising money to help fight off his disease. Help support him!) Track List: 01 - Is This a Dream??? 02 - Inside Out 03 - Absence of Light 04 - Walk Through Walls 05 - Nuclear Tuna!!! [Feat. EkimSkrid] 06 - Whispers 07 - The End 08 - The Trinity Through Infinity 09 - Mama Mimosa 10 - In A World Of My Own A celestial tower climbs far into space, spiraling towards another dimension full of distant, shadowy figures that shatter the souls of the living. An evil rests at the very top, waiting and craving for something to discover its horrifying lair. As travelers approach the end of the structure, interested and curious about the alluring tower, a strange figure begins to boast its bellowing laugh. The ground beneath their feet shakes, and an unknown entity rises from hell to engulf the reality they so desperately attempt to live in. Slime covers their bodies and pulls them downwards into oblivion, sinking them into nothingness. They cry and scream for help, but high in the caverns of the castle, no soul exists to hear their pleas. The eyes of the beholder melts their brains as the acid tears them apart. They make one last gasp, and go insane as the world around them implodes from the beast within. I find myself knees deep in complete terror. Ever curious, I listen carefully as I am carried through a universe of melting shadows, untold legends, and exotic creatures from the deepest depths of unknown worlds. Surrounded by pure, thick, and juicy soundscapes, the mystifying and intense stragness of this experience pulls me into confusion, chaos, and bewilderment. CinderVOMIT maniacally twists knobs, rapidly tips and taps on keys, and organizes the thoughts from his journeys into nothing short from a spectacular masterpiece. Truly, the road opened is an innovative, original, and simply incredible opportunity for any psychedelic connoisseur. I approached this album with an open mind, surrounded by nothing but a dimly lit candle in the corner of my room. I put on my headphones, closed my eyes, and a wave of color raced across my mind. It is rare for an album to put me into such a true form of trance. It is scary, hideous, and almost makes me scream as if I am waking up from a nightmare only to realize it was all a dream. In fact, I jumped at one moment and realized I was asleep. It took me somewhere in my mind I have never been before. The psychedelic spectrum is only one good thing about this incredible album. In fact, I can't find anything wrong with it. There are many, many good things. A series of well thought out, mastered, heavy bass lines carry a terrorcore theme against slowly evolving pads and steady synths. It is all quite beautiful. I never knew what was going to pop up from beneath the intricate layers of glorious creations embedded into vibrations. Every track features a different BPM, varying from 150 - 200. Wonderfully varied, I yearn for more at every second. I never want the journey to end. Through gorgeously crafted, mysterious soundscapes, this album blows light out of the world and lets in the darkness. If you are brave enough to experience it for yourself, you will be taken on a journey into an organic wilderness covered in mist where you will be alone, shaking, and turning your head in all directions in paranoia that some strange beast is out to get you and rip you to pieces. Being greeted by this atrocity is entirely up to you. Your going to have to run through the violent world and explore the isolated landscape to come across discoveries never before understood, until now. Maybe you too will come across the tower and climb high into the night until the seemingly endless hallways come to an end. It is quite possibly one of the best albums I have ever listened to. As terrifying as It may seem, the album itself is extremely enjoyable. I love the beats. I love the voices. I love the progression. I love the sounds. I love the vibes. I love every single thing about this album. I can not get enough of the beats used here. The Trinity Through Infinity, for example, has some of the greatest sounds I have ever heard. There are different perspectives, sure, but all in all the music is so tasty, engulfing, and addicting that you will love it. It is certainly a more advance album, offering more than the casual listener looks for. Go into it thinking outside the box. Let it take your reality and twist it up. Challenge your boundaries and bend the rules a bit. It will be well worth it. Only then will you truly understand what The Beast Within is. 10/10 Download here on Bandcamp (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Bandcamp for the download bandwidth. - Special Thanks to Jellyfish Frequency Recordings for the review request.

  18. Album: Ubikvad Omniheita Artist: Spruce Genre: Forest, Darkpsy, Experimental Size: 335MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations Track List: 01 - Wahdat Al-Wujud (10:11) 02 - Tzimtzum Samioza (9:12) 03 - Das Herz Dialektik (13:39) 04 - Fu Shang De Fei Di (13:43) 05 - Sensory Mirage (8:11) 06 - Advaita Gita (12:58) 07 - Rgyud (11:34) 08 - Ya-O-Yorozu No Kami (10:52) 09 - Yggdrassil Ormurholur (10:06) 10 - Matryoshka Fraktali (8:01) 11 - M (7:24) 12 - La Nausee (10:06) 13 - Yarindin (25:27) 14 - Comhbhailigh Eigrioch (20:35) Through the distant fields of the universe, unknown spectrums of ever-increasing intensity and roaring chaos coexist with a single thought, an idea containing different perspectives across multiple dimensions. This vision contains a soundscape of strange, mystic terrors crashing into stars, engulfing matter, and erupting into something our world has never seen before. Some call it insanity. Others call it brilliance. Whatever the case, its unique, a legend beckoning everything and everyone to fall into its welcoming grasp. This is Ubikvad Omniheita. Ubikvad Omniheita is a very advanced, Psytrance album that takes any listener on an epic, three hour journey through unconventional and extremley original sounds and beat patterns. There is simply no way anyone can expect what comes next. Using over two hundred different electronically programmed instruments, psychedelic artist Spruce takes us on an absolutely engulfing experience through his mind. Distant melodies, chitter chatter of crowds, and in-your-face euphoric and heavy bass lines are scattered amongst the perfectly pieced together tracks, all put together into one brilliant masterpiece. In David Falao Gjølstad's last album, "Origin," we were introduced to a new, very strange style. People compared it to the works of Psychovsky, but noticed the music developed into something completely different. People loved it, earning the album a 95% rating on Ektoplazm, a critically announced psychedelic community offering hundreds of different albums spanning across 20+ psychedelic genres in the current eastern electronic music movement. Even though his previous release was awe-inspiring to producers everywhere, he somehow managed to create, yet again, something even better. Brain screwing layers of interesting percussion soundscape buildups, intense movements of growing and developing synths mixed with beautifully composed pads, voice samples of strange creatures chatting amongst each other in the distance, quirky lows and highs shooting off into every direction against a wicked drum evolution, and enveloping communities of highly mastered and thought out art are splattered onto a wonderfully done canvas, crafting together the very passions expressed by Spruce. Tribal, dark, vicious, strange, beautiful, harmonic, chaotic, progressive, unexpected, heavy, light, engulfing, relaxing, atmospheric, exotic, addictive, and epic are only a few words that come to mind when I take a listen to this incredible collection of professional done journeys. It is impossible for me to talk about every song in here. There are multiple intros in each song, building up different vibes and moods that can either collapse randomly and move onto something else or melodically adjust into an organized structure. Then, all of a sudden, sound without definition erupts from the darkness and obliterates your prediction on what you think is going to happen. You will be surprised and delighted at every turn. Even as a sound programmer, there are times when I have no idea what the hell is going on… and I fucking love it. If you want to start off with a sample, listen to the track "Rgyud" (11:34). It has a bunch of stuff in it. Orchestration, ambience, heavy dark bass, light and beautiful pads, exotic arps and oscillations, and much, much more is presented in there. I mean my God, I can not understand how anyone can come up with this. It is truly is ingenious. The next track, "Ya-O-Yorozu No Kame" has a more recognizable soundset, nesting in a steady danceable pace. It makes my body move and my head think. Even with a more conventional progression, this track still offers an undefined genre. Is it Trance? Is it Darkpsy? Is it Bluegrass? I don't know. All I know is that this guy has made some really fantastic tunes. As a DJ, I am going to enjoy giving the crowd a surprise with this one. Oh yeah, and the outros and transitions your going to hear from each track will blow you away. It takes a lot of time and effort to really appreciate this album. There is so much to explore. So much to understand. So much to experience. I can not fully express just how incredible I feel this album is. I am taken on a roller coaster of emotions, feeling happy, scared, sad, and eager all at the same time. All in all, its feels amazing. There is no way I can really express everything in this album. You have to listen to it for your self. An ingenious composition awaits, go out there and download it. I recommend listening to one song a time, taking it all in and breathing a bit before moving on. This is not for the faint hearted. Listen responsibly, the frequencies in the FLAC format are everywhere, and you can hurt your ears if you listen to it all in one sitting. Get ready to hear things you have never heard before. Your brain may not know how to take it. Enjoy, and feel the music. 10/10 Download here on Bandcamp (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Bandcamp for the download bandwidth.
  19. Here's my attempt at a quiz: 50 darkpsy tracks, in approximate chronological order. I've tried to skew my choices towards things that I've seen mentioned a lot on psynews, so hopefully even casual listeners should recognise a few, but I've also thrown in a couple of more obscure ones. Same rules as usual: one point for each artist and one for each title. And put your answers behind spoiler tags! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEhbDA4Rr8E The solution:
  20. Artist: Silent Horror Title: Patterns II EP Label: DVSM Records Date: June, 2013 1. Variables 2. Pan'd Labyrinth 3. Atomic Structures "The ghosts in the darkness have come." Darkpsy ain't for everyone. Hammering bass lines, noisy and abrasive synth washes, and usually the total absence of a melody...It's a f*cking headache waiting to happen. And I'll be honest I don't know how you dance to this type of music unless it's a mosh pit free for all. The genre has sort of become a parody of itself and the race is on to see which darkpsy producer can make the most noise. The good ones (like Kiriyama) combine other styles with darkpsy for a very complex and detailed journey. But please don't think I'm singling out darkspy because we all know the sorry state of full-on. And don't get me started on "popular" music. Having spoken with Alex (who runs DVSM Records) on numerous occasions I've come to learn he is a really nice fellow. Silent Horror (Jigar Shah) has a new EP and Alex asked me if I wouldn't mind giving it a listen. Last I heard from Mr. Shah was when I reviewed his album Seance back in 2011. Pure darkness that would really appeal to fans of that genre. Well he's back for more and he brings his scary penchant for horror movies with him. And man this is heavy. Remember that hammering bass line I was talking about? Yep, it's here. But he also has a little break in Variables that gives the ear a break from the punishment. That's important because you can only whip someone so many times before the whipping is rendered meaningless. He's really good with the effects and he layers them so the track sounds really full. Pan'd Labyrinth is more scary noises and discovering monsters down dark corridors. But he also does a nice trick with some scary percussion to add some variability. It's a hallucinogenic nightmare for atmosphere and you've gotta be wondering if it can get any worse. Atomic Structures is the heaviest of them all. The beginning is chopped up synths and there you go back into that corridor. Cue the scratchy "darkpsy" synth and another spooky break. It eventually gets so many sounds near the end that it's like punching someone in the face when he's already dead. Look, it is what it is. The sound quality is awesome and when I was playing this I was rumbling a few windows. The kick and bass line are relentless. That said you're not necessarily going to win any new converts to the darkside with this because it's still darkpsy. Those that love that type of music will love this. But those that get tired of the same leads and the madness won't. Sure there's more atmosphere with breaks that help, but it still falls into the same cliche's that the genre is known for. 21. In a time of long extended swine where an all too real disillusion of psychic and physical war with obesity and corruption is ruling our consciousness while trying to make us work in fear against each other sneering a suspected eye to your neighboring side, there is a strong native force working to contain a universal and earthly balance of light and darkness, of truth and false. “It is said that what is called a spirit of an age, is something to which we cannot contain - That the spirit gradually dissipates and gives away to a system world that is coming to an end. The one true source is all that there is in multidimensional reflection and nothing more. Dare I say we are at among its wishful core? We are returning back and most importantly, forward to a truer expanded spirit then what has yet to be seen and felt in its total blissful scheme. A past inside the future selecting an evolution of the making is your peaceful rest- ( … ) Thus is important to make the best out of every generation and to stop anticipating that the world is coming to an destructive end, because the world that is will circulate until a swollen sun swallows its fruitiest celestial being of elements such as iron, oxygen, silicon, magnesium, nickel, sulphur and titanium. Namely, the Earth. Gradually working its energy base with a formatting bass the sounds give way for larger play inside a fried yet wakeful stay. Expanding each other’s truths realizing the lies, which we are only to be cried in something that hurts, never feeling like the dirt beneath flowers. Accordions play their hymn of aromatic syng for this is triggering beats ready for the accrete redemption. Samples speak. Spiritual leaders use their thoughts with a trustworthy tongue. Track; Tribal, fast, changing phases in swirling grace. Instruments of the old. Story is told for something to behold. II - Human Being :: Chippering sticks wrenches the Styx and solid beats crave the soul of fettering stones. Embarrassing mistakes takes us into a lake where roaming life stomp on the safe. Beautiful inquisition we crave for perfection. There is nothing wrong in doing this song. You can always go into voiding roam but fear the dark and you will suffocate on its imaginary fork. Never letting go we realize the strong of our unchained grow – and they say we are afraid of what we do not know? Why don’t we try to understand, to act up as if the unknown was known? Treat the known as if it is unknown and you will have it to be realized which makes it not so god damn civilized. Hatred and violence is the result of our fear for one self and what one might make you realize. Soon as you know that fear has no place to go but to transform itself into understanding and love – peace shall be felt in a pumping heart of the known. Hatred to kill is competition to destroy what they do not posses or are fully able to understand. Art is an anything but hate it is not it just can’t be art. This I can rate, for our fate is not of being hate. Solitude in attitude Track; ragged, cool and twisting a curl in tempo we swirl. III - Monsanto :: Spoofing our surrounding, ghosting our winds. Speaking in whisper what is it that you have sung with the air of your strong shimmering lung? We all decide where this marked goes. Into our delivered ego or out to a near eternal free fest? We can in cases be seen if you are keen. Troubling shots are making the rot. Steady flow is following the puzzling blow which we each in fully consciousness choose the moves of. And most beautiful and hurtful of all, it’s distracted serine. We choose to be blinded and follow the blended because it is easier to be fooled then to dance the true groove of hard choices that becomes easier as we step. No true secret should ever be kept, even from a duck. Track; humping, beat changing, mumbling with dissolution and breaking. IV - Earthlings :: An angelic cry of hurtful eyes. They feed our babies with terrible cute lies. Beats and pain transform in order to create; heavy is the burden of those who has to hide their former maybe unintended in its ignorant intention of... exploiting another celestial being for their own conceived better self. That is what the test becomes. At a moment of weakness one can almost willingly take advantage of a soft spot with "closed eyes". While after what you have exploited is gone, you complain about its run, sitting on your high horse being the one trying to control, us!? Go be real break those beats and patterns, put on a chain and stop being an energetic drain. This is for your own best; this is not a better test. Eat your meat if it is what you please. Just remember to treat yourself and the nature with respect. Be true to the bloom. As long as you have a raised consciousness about your intact. You will feel a lesser gloom. Darkness of ignorant ,,evileness" shall never take the best of us. Track; paused with breaks and mesmerizing strikes. V - Nuclear Nightmare :: Nuclear second’s wisps the grounds setting out a despiteful shun. Beats travel fast with traffic in jam. Traveling sounds in-between singeing souls keeps out the main trolls. Hurry the fleet the winds are growing strong burning on its path to find weaker stands to dissemble. The experiment has been done. Under watered surfaces the nuclear rain shall be sung. Settling the worry keeping the wild phasing the sorry behind. Track; chaotically hectic, radioactive and wild. VI - Ideologic Control :: For some the ideal is to be in control over others fate not realizing their madness before it is nearly too late. The point of no return seems to have been reached many moons ago now it is about flow the stream in a direction that is better in basic needs of what it is we need to feed. Common sense might be a defense or rather a fence but for most and some, it makes perfect sense to take care of it all to understand even if the problem seems to be too tall. I dare to fear as long as I truly do care. You want the truth!? You can’t handle the truth! ~ Pff, that’s so bullshit. Of course we can handle the truth. Track; high, a huge try, daggering beats going wild – at least he tried. VII - Geist des Geldes :: In the spirit of money, there seems to be no way of rightfully controlling this honey. Economical terms builds on a ventilation of a mean to be free something that goes around in a healthy manner not something that is spread and passed around like decease and piled up with a few controllers of unfair home owners. What beautiful melodies this currency could have been, what flow it could have had if it not been for the stupidity found within its most powerful circles. Track; intense, melodic in its willing stay and circulating with some play. Calm at the end sending you there without so much fear. VIII - Transformation :: As one track passes to another a transition it is made as so as nature of evolves. To why we so often fear the transformational stare is our chickens to flap. Doctors aside: Often an experience of drug can and will help you see a reality bended in such way that it makes fantastic and truer sense – be it good or bad – it is often up to you. A journey can be made but for goods sake do not mainline the substance unless you are ready to travel beyond into another stay. Addicts are an often lost face even though the addict is most likely not self-aware of such a sad fact as they weirdly enough will protect the substance before they will protect them self. It’s not the drug they say, it’s me ( …. ) Take the union train, let it ride you across your brain but don’t be a total sack. Don’t shoot crack as it puts you in damaged control with a huge lack. Not all drugs are bad for you. Some of them, are fucking mind expanding amazingly great! We just all need to take some care. As for most drugs and then especially the non-expanding ones. They will and can expand the mind and view of our true world, for a while. But when abused instead of being, what can one say, used. The drug turns against you and starts to distort instead of opening up doors of perception. No longer are they wonderful means to open up the mind. They become forces to distort the perceptions of life. Which is just sad, to see a person stuck in distortion because he or she could not stop, slow down or take care of one’s best self. Live in the present, learn from the past and take care of your own future. It is most likely the only one you have. Be smart: www.erowid.org Track; ride, trippy, unified, hefty and holy. IX - Change the World :: Words of the Mayans are spoken in glimpse. The truth they had was twisted in unearthly sins. What they believed was the answer to please the Gods that destroyed them from within and chattered metropolis of advanced civilizations became gone without their precise crop. The worries are done we’ve stopped to try to crawl up to our burning sun. Breaks are current a marked is in view though lost in small gardens as to be our self we must, it is the only true solution. And don’t be fooled of what you might conceive as “our self” because we might have the ability to be as a virus but we have a much greater truth to be gentle in our roughness and wise in our decisions. This I believe. Track; insane, warning in the stray, scary of symbol and warning in its past. Fast and effecting. Ending the hard. Recommendation: Oh My F'ing Gudd! This is the stuff that will rip your brain in delight with heavy tones of musical perspectives and valid information for the mind to chew on. This is a chaotic and dark album with anger and despair with some beautiful flair which reflects much of our confused and suffering world at large. The content is majestically political with historical turns. And the beats are phat with changing attributes so it doesn’t become boring though some parts are a tear. There is little to nothing about this visible package that looks like psytrance. It all screams Heavy-Metal. FUCK MONEY - WEAR A CONDOM. Buy this album; it is worth the support and in doing so you will receive a respectful package with a 3 page Digipack CD which includes a 24 page Booklet with loads of interesting text and truly outstanding artwork. The product is made out of 100% recycled paper which means that it is plastic free. This is a well made effort even though recycling waste lots of water in the process of making it so, but for options around this is not bad at all. If concerned about all physical matters and you don’t want or need this awesome bonus which it provides, you can always go online and buy it in digital. Can you trip it? 24. Artist: Flicker Light Title: Shamanic Journey EP Label: Maia Brasil Records Date: March, 2013 1 - Who Use This Drugs (128 BPM) 2 - Glandula Pineal (134 BPM) 3 - Mental Evolution (135 BPM) 4 - Shamanic Journey (133 BPM) If you mix minimal + progressive trance + darkpsy you get this. Well...not much progressive trance. They were not kidding when they said this had heavy basses. Sh*t will knock you over. While I liked the dark atmosphere and the nosebleed inducing bass you gotta give me more if you're going to assault me with your extended track times. The galloping bass and darkpsy noise gets to be monotonous and it just devolves into 39 minutes of the same thumping bass sounds rumbling in the night time. Love the cover though.
