  1. I"ve been waiting for this CD since the day I heard about it, I think that CPC is definitely my favourite dark psytrance artist and has been coming up with some killer shit ever since his first cd. I suck at writing reviews, but I'd give this an 8.5 out of 10. Kopenhagen and Secrets are my favourite tracks and I think they are incredible, Secrets definitely reminds me of the psytekk days of the old Delta and Midilmiliz. Most of the tracks are good and pretty solid, but nothing incredible like the two I mensioned.

I don't know if I'd call this CD my favourite CPC album, Violence and Double Bouble were both sick as well. However CPC always seems to come up with quality stuff and seems to come up with a unique sound every album. This is definitely the best albums I've heard in a while, for sure worth checking out.

  2. Haha, I'm going to have to bring this up even though it's nowhere near psy.

Brooklyn Bounce - Get Ready to Bounce (Southpark Rmx)

Cheesy Tiesto style trance, but I always loved it because it was always being played on the radio when southpark first came out.

  3. I see what you did there.

Obviously Twisted was not the greatest psy album ever, but I think that you have to admit that at the very least it was pretty ground breaking for its time. I think that you have to understand that the vast majority of people who think "SIMON = GOD" are people who don't listen to psy all that much/just listen to it on the side. For example I share the same convictions against popular/sold out psytrance such as Skazi/Infected Mushroom ect. since my exposure is pretty deep compared to the 'Daft Punk Expert' average electronic music listener. However I also listen to a lot of Drum N Bass, and one of my fav producers is Pendulum, a group who apparently is on 'sold out' status to the drum n bass scene. I don't go around preaching that Pendulum is the saviour of DnB, but I don't think you can argue that I obviously like to listen to them a lot and that the 'casual' psytrance listen doesn't like Hallucinogen.

Basically, who cares what other people think is the most amazing psytrance ever? If you feel offended by other's taste in your fav music you just might be an elitest.

  4. I respect Infected Mushroom because I do believe that they were incredible. Also, I think that you guys have to realize that though they may have sold out and release very watered down types of psytrance, I still think they are cutting edge compared to 95% of trance and a lot of other types of electronic music. I didn't like the music video, I thought it was just stupid. However the new song sounded ok, not monumental or good, but def something I'd put on my tracklist every now and again.

Also that guy really needs to stop fucking singing. You are bad and also you are a trance group. You produce on computers and other equipment. Get the fuck over yourself.

  5. As of right now I can't view the thread. Can anyone sum up what happend? As for the whole homophobia/house thing, I don't think it really matters where the roots of psytrance/trance/house lie, homophobia and (from what I understand about the thread) racism is wrong in all its forms.

  6. Ok, this has been seriously bothering me for a while because I am a huge Delta fan.

Did anyone think that Send In... Send Back was better (and also darker) then Scizoeffective? Scizoeffective was definitely amazing but I have always thought that Send In... Send Back was better.

  7. I hate to break it to you guys but is there any scene that ever doesn't have a decay in the "quality" of the music? All genres change over time and there is always the "things arn't like they used to be back in the day" argument that is brought up. Well guess what? While you were first rocking to goa or whenever you came in the scene, I hope that you realize someone was thinking the same thing about the "old school days" about your golden days. It's a vicious cycle. I do see what people are talking about when they say "it ain't what it used to be", but I see a lot of psyheads talking like they have never seen a scene change to get bigger.

  8. I don't think it's as good as their other albums or the type of stuff they used to do, but I don't think they have completely lost their touch. Also I really really liked "science" the guitar track and I think it's up there with their other good guitar tracks like Moonchild or Meteor. I'd give it a 6.5/10... Nothing amazing but nothing horrible either.

Also refering to Abasio, what's your point about bringing up American Idol in comparing Electric Universe? I'm no fancy big city lawyer but I seriously doubt that this album well sell a drastic ammount more then their previous albums. For a scene that is still very uncommercialized in comparisent to a lot of other electronic music scenes the psytrance scene sure does a lot of complaining.

  9. Really nice cd, definitely nothing amazing but still totaly solid. Though feet in the air is nothing special, its still really catchy to me.

Favs, dos caonnes, trebel rebel, feet in the air, elusiveness of the witness, trance function
