  1. A bit on the tech trance side but still progressive, Hedustma - Forms 03 released in 2019 https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/75485-hedustma-forms-03/

    Parasense - Avangaro

Not a very accessible album, there were times this album used to bore me a lot. There were times I also managed to enjoy it. Now I am not sure but I do think it did not age very well. The basslines are hard, alas I don't find the music complex and deep enough. But yeah these basslines played on a proper system are extremely powerful.
  3. Damn this album is something else, very spectacular and entertaining darkpsy.
  4. Lysistrata (album edit) and Signs are two magnificent tracks.
  5. Hallucinogenic Horses is great, I didn't hear the jazzy parts though (?) but thanks for mentioning, forgot about this crazy album.
  6. The production is stunning, yet it is hard to ignore that several tracks have too many disharmonious melodies and sound awkward. I was listening to this album with headphones while doing nothing else, and this flaw was too obvious, for instance the track with guitars, the first half is great with a clever use of the guitar, but then a second guitar melody enters and it doesn't fit well IMO. Three or four tracks in this album have a similar issue. On the plus side, the sound design is beautiful, I like the ending of the tracks, nice attention to details. The second track (Floating Spheres) is special with a building tension that works very well. The track with the loud kick (Nephilim' Dance) is cool even though it sounds too short for me. The tenth track (Wanderers) has nice tribal vibes. I don't have the bonus tracks. That said I liked the 2017 album Stratum much more, especially Foreseen Consequences and the remarkable Abyssentient.
  7. @RTP Be strong man Some positive trance music from the golden era just thought I would post this here, music is powerful
  8. The perfect definition of a beautiful intro but lousy track is Loren X - Sectosphere (Asia 2001 alias) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihSwe9RSe1s Damn this needs a remix
  9. Progg'N'Roll Records 1.Energy Circle 07:38 2.Mighty Woods 06:30 A short EP of only two tracks but worth a review. The first track is laid back and very pleasant. A relaxing piece of tribal progressive trance on a slow tempo with tribal chants, natural percussion and crisp sounds. An entrancing atmosphere all around, if you enjoyed Loud - 5 Billion Stars then this track should be your cup of tea. The second track has a more powerful and groovy bassline but remains pretty dark and minimal. There is a touch of didgeridoo keeping the tribal vibes very alive. Nice track again, just a slight complain it seems to be louder than the first track, this should be fixed, otherwise very solid release and hopefully we can have a full album of this style in the future. Rating: 7.5/10. Listen / Buy: https://proggnrollrecords.bandcamp.com/album/prima-matra-mighty-woods
  10. After all this time, I discover that Suburban Train is not an original track. It is a remix / remake of Kid Vicious - Re-Form. You learn something every day.
  11. @AiKyO listening to it again today, I understand the comparison with Koxbox (without the goa-trance melodies), I put it a bit louder today and it works better, it confirms my previous opinion that it must be great for the dance-floor. The bassline programming and the breakbeat parts are well executed. #7 Alpha Sector is brilliant.
  12. This album is very intense. Because of the intensity, I feel 77 minutes is a tad too long but otherwise it is a very interesting album, creative and energetic, aggressive and psychedelic. It has a great drive and deserves more reorganization. Full album:
  13. Hi, I have the album but only in good quality MP3 (320kbps), you can send me a PM.
  14. One year later, was listening to this album again the other day, I really like the variety, and I wish the mastering could be a bit better. Anyway very nice album. Soul Ocean starting @ 24:44 https://youtu.be/a72bKP4jkaM?t=1484
  15. What a great track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dG45B7b6inM Also some nice stuff from Kino Oko: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bdFh_scxSI Not the full album is jazzy but I highly recommend it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlh1_w4qDAE @Gamma is right, Zenon Records has a history of releasing some jazzy tracks, the music is usually much more minimal and darker than the suggestions above. For example this track in V/A Intelligent Manipulation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5x0kLu-5dU I love the rhythmic in this track even though the jazz elements are not very abundant. Or this track from Krumelur (technically not on Zenon Records but it could have been): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=951rzkjisLg Probably not what you are looking for but posting this just for the intro (the rest of the track is more conventional psytrance): Phillax - Goblins ate my piano https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPlswGID2Dc And some strange stuff from Infected Mushroom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6dNZANyYMQ
  16. Loopus in Fabula (Loopus in Fabula, Astrofunk, Fat Ladies Bingo, haven't listened to the rest of the discography). V/A - Ultrapop ( https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/21436-va-ultrapop/?tab=comments#comment-202441 ) V/A - Ultapop 2 ( https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/48848-ultrapop-2-fabularecords/?tab=comments#comment-801840 )

    Psysex-2020

It's a good album, in the same style as Mind Penetration but better and more playful, some tracks are slower on the dark progressive side and most tracks are quite fast, dark psychedelic trance similar to UK style but not overly aggressive. Track #4 has a Union Jack-like melody :-) Track #5 has a unusual sequence with the tempo accelerating. Although a bit too long, it's a very well made and clean album, easy to listen and also good for the dancefloor. Full release on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psxPbli8PdI 00:00 - 1. The Beginning of the Last Cycle of Time (Feat Doctor Goblin) 01:21 - 2. Analog Celebration (Feat Gorovich) 11:18 - 3. Light Code (Feat Dekel) 20:47 - 4. 2020 32:29 - 5. Blasting Carrots (Feat Seggae) 41:58 - 6. Little Green Men (Album Mix) (Feat Postrauma) 54:58 - 7. Play The Drum (Album Mix) (Feat Illumination) 1:05:36 - 8. The Brown Noise 1:13:56 - 9. The Last Cycle of Time (Feat Doctor Goblin) 1:20:22 - 10. Power of The Universe (Album Edit) (Feat Arara) 1:29:22 - 11. Source of Psy (Bonus Track) (Feat Divine Source) 1:40:02 - 12. New Beat (Bonus Track) (Doctor Goblin & Symbolico)
  18. The last track is Lumen - 3 to 1.
  19. This is so dark, one of the darkest sound I have heard for a while. Don't know what else to say, the basslines are crunchy and all, but yeah this is very very dark
  20. Suntrip records 1. Personal Matrix 07:10 2. Wormhole 07:22 3. Big Crunch 09:54 4. Etnica - Microdrive (Hypnoxock Remix) 07:41 5. Gravitational Isolation 08:49 6. Heaven Can't Wait 08:58 7. Doubling Time 07:13 8. The Choice is Yours 07:20 9. Mutant Zone 08:01 Victor SolSona from Barcelona a.k.a. Hypnoxock releases his 6th album this month, a very well produced output with enough variety to please the fans of this genre. This album has more groove and more funk than usual and the overall production is noticeably stunning. It is on a very solid level musically and above all psychedelic and entertaining, quite subtle at times too. It deserves praise for the variety of ingredients used. The first tracks have very raw 303 lines, reminiscent of the old school sound, and tracks such as #5 Gravitational Isolation and #6 Heaven Can't Wait have signature melodies and a clubbish touch, or should I say similarities to proto-goa at a faster pace. If you are interested in the Etnica track remixed, it is nice and clean but very similar to the original. I'll have to select tracks #2 and #7 as the two strongest compositions. Wormhole is twisted, groovy and acidic, it made me wonder how modern Sandman could sound like, in the second half it has a strong goa trance build up. Doubling Time is possibly the most intense track of the album, I would say it sums up how the whole release sounds, psychedelic with many interesting twists, each new sound added has a purpose and fits in perfectly. Rating: 8/10. Listen / Buy: https://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com/album/beyond-the-wormhole
  21. Oforia - What Did That Make You Feel Very good track!
  22. The memories! This track is 25 years old and it still rocks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flQpX3PdTUY Don't know why the video says Centim X, it should be Cenith X.
  23. Ensancha El Alma Records 01. Ra - Night Angel 8:06 02. Side Liner - Vida Hermosa 7:10 03. Stefan Torto - 7pm 5:34 04. Kuba - Looking Down The Valley 5:57 05. Jairamji - Top Of The Mountain 9:35 06. Kaya Project - The Time Is Now 5:47 07. E-Mantra - The Sacred Mountain 5:38 08. Entheogenic - Shakyamuni 7:47 09. Asura - Le Passage Part One 8:28 10. Ovnimoon feat. JemInEye Incantations - To The Essense 7:25 Chill out release from the fresh label Ensancha El Alma Records dedicated to provide quality downtempo music. This compilation has two main styles: a trancy downtempo side, and a more ethnic and warm approach. To my surprise, Ra does not deliver a real highlight here, fine opener but less interesting than his best past downtempo sound. Side Liner however comes up with a deep and glacial, melancholic and atmospheric track, reminiscent of the old Asura style. Great stuff! Then Stefan Torto delivers as well with short but intense and emotional storytelling. I am less enthusiastic about the sunny ethnic tracks with guitars, but other highlights are from E-Mantra (similar style to the album Drifiting released the following year, short but epic melodic track), Asura and then Ovnimoon & JemInEye Incantations, they deliver the most danceable and trancy tracks of the compilation. Asura's composition is a tad repetitive perhaps but uplifting and brilliantly executed. Ovnimoon & JemInEye Incantations end the journey with an inspired downtempo track, goa-trance influenced and with a progressive approach, perfect to end this release. On the whole this is a nice first compilation from Ensancha El Alma Records that I recommend to all chill out lovers. Rating: 7.5/10.
