  1. Hi dudes, thats my latest track, started as a joke about some stupid story that a friend was involved in, thats why it called that way and thats why it so serious and dark and has those silly vocals , but what I like about it is that for the first time besides the Kick Bass and the Piano every single sound is a sound I created from scratch, it would be nice if you could give a listen :).

  2. saw infected mushroom last week in byron bay, supported by gaudium and ticon

gaudium was awsome! played some new and old stuff and remixes

ticon was a mixed bag, some of the new stuff held up on the dance floor real well, some didn't

thought i heard some sort of remix of cactus by union jack which was very interesting, he finished with 1987 the riktam and bansi remix i think

    overall great set.

infected were well it's hard to explain

powerful is one word.... loud is another

the byron bay crowd were totally into it (if you been there you will know what i meen)

byron is a long way away from the place it was when ray castle brought goa to the region

erez was amazing! and totally live he was working bloody hard, and could not fault him at all

dudev on other hand well you know, he is an entertainer and he entertained!

they new their set, heard some old school classical mush and maybe 1 track from gathering, but was kind of mashed up

with samples of their new stuff

overall they wern't bad, musically and production wize flawless

the guitar and drums were kind of cool, and created some depth, but samples could of replaced them quite easily

dub step stuff was crap, and couldn't dance to it, quite often there was so much going on they chopped and changed

alot, was hard to follow them

afterwards friend of mine aproached them and dudev put his hand in his face and walked away, what a prick

he is to cool for school if you ask me

but along way away from where they started

unless you like their new stuff, don't see them live as you will be dissapointed

highlight - ticon/gaudium and hearing some classical mushroom with modern production and great sound

I have to comment only on the "Duvdev" part, I'm Israeli (just like Eisen and Duvdev) so maybe its not that great example but I saw Duvdev 2 days in a row, the first day was at a masterclass he and Eisen participated at my college, the day after was at dinner at the hotel just before their show.

I took pictures and had a few words with them, the difference between Duvdev and Eisen is that Duvdev knows he is star and Eisen doesen't, Eisen is more humble than Duvdev for sure, but Duvdev is a nice funny guy, I don't think that the fact that he ignored your friend means he is a prick, and on the live show he is the entartainer, but of course they both participating equally at the production.

  3. Hi dudes this is my latest track, I think it could have been much better, I took my time too much with it because I had many things going on for a while, so it I didn't have the best workflow,

But this track has its advantages over the last ones (IMO sounds better and more "connected"), some creepy sounds and samples here, some comments will be nice :).

  4. sounds a lot like infected-mushroom,a whole lot was that intentional?

I hope its fine to answer for him :) , he is a die hard fan of Infected Mushroom and also used 2 of their plugins in this track (if I am not mistaken), it has some similarities but its not the same at all :)

  5. Please PM me when Infected Mushroom sounds like this "again":

I'm sorry but I think its terrible, maybe The Gathering style is the kind of music some people misses, because this is a different style called Nitzhonot and IMO its one of the worst things ever and even the artists who did it themselves make jokes about it and say how terrible it is.

By the way, they consider The Gathering as some sub style of Nizhonot and Erez said he thinks its terrible (IMO it was a masterpiece and it was not similar to that style, but that's his opinion, so if you would mention this I think he would have denied that he made this track :) ).

  6. By the way I saw some people didn't like any of the tracks but actually if there was one reason why its the most "oldschool" Infected since 2001 its just because of Gravity Waves, I know its a remix for an old remix they did at 1999 (by the way its sounds much better than the original and you can barely claim they are even a bit similar), but I saw a video that someone filmed, it is their most oldest dj set on the web, and you can see people raving the s**t out of themselves to this track (its basically even got better now).

Also, if you know The Fly which they made with Space Cat (Cat On Mushrooms) you can find out that Milosh intro is very similar to this track's intro (it was also played at the same dj set at 1999).

  7. I'm actually curious about that - what is it exactly that you expect that isn't there? For me this is the closest we ever got to Classical or B.P.Empire in last 16 years: there's a lot of classical / theatrical (i.e. not typically psytrance-y) melodies in there, there's a lot of crazy sound manipulation, there's a lot of energy and minimal amount of singing. Is it a problem that they introduce all this while sounding a bit more modern, with dubstep or glitch techniques ("catering to modern EDM")?

Not saying this is a 5/5 meterial or whatever, but the amount of negativity astounds me! This new album is the Infected Mushroom with rockstar image dialled all the way down, which - I thought - was all that we asked for, because otherwise their music was always top notch.

The most accurate comment on this thread, I am a die hard fan of IM so I'm not the greatest example, but looks like many people here are very close minded, and the thing that is even worse than that is exactly what you wrote, what did people expected?

I really like The Gathering, Classical Mushroom and B.P. Empire era, those 3 albums are pure gold for me and nothing match its quality, but in our days the music does't get better unfortunately (I'm talking about musical quality, not sound), and those great albums belongs to the past, and even when its supposed to be kinda old school album, they still had to make something relevant for nowadays.

I know every beat from every track they ever had, and yes its the closer they got to "old school" Infected, in fact its not that close (even quite far) but its closer relatively to the other albums,

While its a little bit sound like the Supervisor or CV trance side, it still got something deeper and darker than those, (Vicious Delicious and the Black Shawarma were a hybrid between psy and heavy metal so I don't consider it) and its especially good when comparing it to Infected 2012-2014 era.

I have seen a comment here when someone wrote its sounds amateur when compared to "real" psy releases, that's just ridiculous! for example I really love Astrix and yes the latest album has an unreal drive to it, but still many of the tracks sounds pretty much similar to each other and many consider it one of the best psy albums, Including me also,

But I don't know many artists who are at the production level of IM, and the more known psytrance artists are not even close IMO, or maybe we look at things differently.

  8. You are trying to make some very complex stuff without properly learning the basics first. Getting polyrhytmic music right is not easy at all, you should develop the strong sense of rhythm at the first place. Start with simpler melodies, simpler arrangements then move forward. Sorry to say, but this track doesn't sound psychedelic or even just danceable, just a total mess of unrelated melodies.

I guess, you are aiming at something like this

But if I were you I'd rather start with something like this

Wow great thank you pal that's some great constructive criticism! I will listen to those track and learn them, and yeah one of my downsides in life generally is

    To overcomplicate everything :).

By the way at least in my opinion you are a bit exaggerating, it has some psy sounds and it has dancable parts, also the melodies are somethimes the same and has the

Same sounds as they had in a previous moment in the track, but about the arrangement and that i'm over complicate things I have to agree, but anyway as I wrote,

I really appreciate your comment and I believe you are right and hope the tracks (espescially Talamsca's) will help :).

  9. Don't do that, psy-trance is a serious music!

Actually not. Do whatever you want, just be aware that a lot of people - myself included - don't appreciate "crazy" / "fool around" melodies. Just check the reviews for recent Crossing Mind's CD :)

Well i'll be more specific, first of all when I wrote the sound supposed to be much more crazy I meant soundwise, i am not talking about the melody,

I wanted it to be a distorted and unique sound, but is sounded really ugly and I had so much going on in this track so I left it "gentle" (soundwise),

And by the way it was the final project for the Cubase course i have finished so I had much more on my head than tracks I did for myself.

About the "fooling around" its not mean lets just drop a part there and start laughing, the track has a long build up, so I didn't want the part afterwards will end after 2 seconds,

And I also didnt want to repeat the melody too much so I tried to change a little bit, whether you like it or not its a matter of taste, but I just want to say all the tracks I have done

Besides this one always had more "impressive" melodies at the end of it but the fact that i only pressed one note and got an arp sequence,

In this track besides the arp part after the first break I played all the melodies myself, so I prefer playing my stuff and get better with time rather than play a sequence

that sounds good, and by the way I think that the main problem is because of the notes I used, they sound "happy" and not "dark" (I prefer the "dark" by a mile),

But I had different things to do in that same project so its somehow developed with some "happy" melodies and psychedelic sounds.

And by the way I think our attitudes are different, my favourite band is Infected Mushroom (and I also like Astrix a lot), and I know they are not considered "Psy" anymore,

I really like their old stuff and the more dark style, instead of CV/Supervisor style which sounds really "easy" on ear and not as dark and complex as the first 3 albums.

You can check my older tracks, in my opinion with every track I getting better and I think most of them are bad, and thats the way I will think about this one either at some point,

But you can hear that the style is much more dark than this one.

  10. Well about the bass actually I tried that and at least in my opinion it sounds better the way it is, the beat actually stays the same and the lead/s alongside it at the second third are weaker (was trying to prevent the mess), the melody at 6:00 its the same melody came before maybe you didnt like the sound (which supposed to be much more crazy and distorted but finally i kept it normal to prevent it being too dirty), and at some point I was just fooling around playing a little different on the same notes.

Anyway thanks for your comment, it is the longest and most complex work I have done so far, if you found "only" 3 issues its not bad and of course I will keep improving.

  11. Well yes there is something about that, because its my final project in the cubase course i have just finished they had some demands and they suggested

Tempo or siganture change, so from 0:00-1:00 its basically 3/4 , 72.5 BPM and at 1:00 its becoming 4/4 145 BPM, most of the time I make more "agressive" tracks,

But in matter of fact I think I liked it, but what important is that I learned so much from doing this track (I had 3 week to do it), it has almost as twice

As the channels i used to have, and the eq and putting attention to details was much more intense, at the last part there is a guitar bass low sound which

Actually my friend played (another demand was original recording), but i changed it completely, using vari audio to change the pitch and a lot of cutting and

Fade outs so it will sound better, actually its really different from the original but I really glad I have made such complicated edits (relative to the level I used to).

  12. Well look I dont want to justify myself but i am still an amatuer, on my last post i wrote that I am producing only for 6 months, and i havent done it before, i have no musical background (and of course no previous technical background), besides my relative pitch that helps me play melodies from other tracks and maybe you can think of it as a musical sense, anway i believe the other members here much more professional than me, but i glad you liked something :)

  13. Hi dudes, I have just finished my latest track which is actually my final project for the Cubase course I have just finished, it is really not the typical psytrance and it is very melodic, but yet psychedelic and has a prominent rhymthm :

    Comments are welcome :)

By the way i edited the post and putted youtube link in addition, because it sounds absolutely s**t on soundclound espescially the crashes, on youtube its fine somehow,

And thats why I added a download link on soundcloud with the original quality, but if you dont want to download you can listen on youtube which is still fine.
