I still love goa and forest etc the most but over time I became more open to other things I think.

What about you guys, how has your taste developed or not developed as you got older?

True. I can't listen to the uptempo stuff i used to years ago and not for too long for sure. Plus, uptempo or harsh sounding music doesn't favour meditative state of mind.  Headache is the sure consequence.

But Goa has a lot of musical masterpieces that can't be forgotten, of high artistic and mental value.

  2. The Associated Press reported, few days ago, that 12.35 million acres of land in Australia has been burned while latest sources state that nearly 20 million acres have burned across the country, and authorities say the fires could keep burning for months. At least 25 people have died and residents of entire towns have been forced to flee their homes.

500 million animals (or more) is estimated to be dead among which are koalas and kangaroos, nowhere else in the world to be found but only in the australian fauna. Probably, many species will be vanished and others will be rated as endangered species.

Words sound meaningless towards such desasters and faith in God (or divine providence) is questioned.

Which are the causes for this long huge ongoing catastrophe, is just dryness, extreme weather conditions, multiple arsons?

Still, the estimations for the course of this crisis are negative. Too sad because Australia is considered to be one of the most developed states in the world.

Could some friends from Australia shed some light on the issue?

Also, why while weapon technology is more and more advancing, fire extinguinsher technology has been left behind or overlooked?

I mean, I think since the 2018 announcement we've heard about 8 or 9 unreleased songs either as a sample on their YouTube or in full during a set.  Their first, third, and fourth albums were either 8 or 9 tracks.  They have a full album written.  This is on top of that aborted album they never released around 2012 or so.  We're just...waiting.

Abracadabra, i dreamed about a new album in my night sleep. I reffered to it as good or very good. There was a nostalgic feeling. Funny thing..

Maybe it is coming this year, no further delays.

Also, there was something about X-Dream.

    Not bad, sounds very nice.

But where did that good thought have gone?..

Thanks! I'm thinking to release a new compilation of rare mixes and unreleased tracks from the Prophecy area sometimes soon, keep your eyes open...

  5. I would recommend the term "experience"..

..and "Recreation", a nice term i forgot to mention before.

Are you the old Mr.Mustafa? Just curious.

Mr Mustafa to be precise. Is there a new Mr Mustafa?

There's another user entitled the same, someone 'MrAnarchy', so i decided to change it a bit to avoid any confusion.

I follow psynews respectfully, since 2006.

"That's why we see the great teachers to say again and again, that wealth, perfect health, happiness, do not endure when are not founded on our internal spiritual heritage." Swami Paramananda

  6. 1) I think it's uncool to try to tell the artist what they should put into their music.

    2) I've heard a few psy tracks with political samples. I didn't think they were out of place.

    3) I think that some social/political awareness and, to an extent, activism are essential for everybody who uses the term "psychedelic". It's a sign of rare level of intelligence to bring these subjects up in such a way that they unite, and not divide people. I thought that the psychedelic scene was where I would find this level of intelligence. Largely, I've been disappointed. As the saying goes, it's good to have an open mind but not so open that your brains fall out. Oh well, still listening to the music.

    4) The word "hedonism" makes me wanna puke.

Well, i think there are fitter music genres like Rock styles, Metal styles, Industrial, Neoclassical etc.. to express such issues, and even more, propaganda.

But again, it is certainly different to talk about a way of life or a cultural activity.

This music's essence would be abused for sure by political colors and agendas, and degraded.

The previous decade, it had been twice i listened to well-known tracks in political promotion. One was Lepton Head by Deedrah in a youth's party, and the other a Jaia sample in a commercial. It felt such a misappropriation.

    "hedonism"? a controversial term, indeed.

I would recommend the term "experience" (or for the old era or the pure spirits, the value "mysticism").

  7. what's wrong about lazyness? being lazy is one of my best qualities ;)

no, really. being lazy makes you do things more efficiently, it gets you to think about new solutions that take less effort to all kinds of problems. it also forces you to get a deeper understanding of things; you can save a lot of work that way.

imho lazyness — besides curiosity — is the main motor for progress.

Well, it depends how you perceive laziness

Maybe, it could be pointed out as thoughtfulness, prudence, soberness etc ...  Gunas  Upadana

It is a well-pointed remark that there is a dilemma, a priority difficulty between Truth of facts and Truth of obligation or altruism.

Surrounding conditions, an appraisal and a weighing of what is valuable.

Mostly, fear is behind lie. But sometimes, pettiness or worthlessness.

    February 1974

Anderson: Mr Krishnamurti, if I recall correctly I think we had begun to talk together last time, just at the point where the question of fear arose, and I think we both, perhaps, could explore that together a little.

Krishnamurti: Yes, I think so. I wonder how we can approach this problem, because it is a common problem in the world. Everyone, or I can say, almost everyone is frightened of something. It may be the fear of death, fear of loneliness, fear of not being loved, fear of not becoming famous, successful and also fear of not having physical security, and the fear of not having psychological security. There are so many multiple forms of fears. Now to go into this problem really very deeply, can the mind, which includes the brain, really fundamentally be free of fear? Because fear, as I have observed, is a dreadful thing.

    A: Oh yes.

K: It darkens the world, it destroys everything. And I don't think we can discuss fear, which is one of the principles in life, without also discussing, or going into the pursuit of pleasure. The two sides of the same coin.

  8. Well, it seems that there are two meanings of the term "tradition". The first is about spiritual heritage and it's expressions or ethos and cultivation, and the second describes practices or habits. But as far as i know, such activity can't have roots in neither zen buddhism or shinto spirituality. I doubt it.. and again some reactions i noticed were bound to "feeding rights" argumentation, something like that, and something like "we will not do what the foreigners or the americans tell us to do, it's an ethnic tradition" for something that it looks like to have started very few centuries ago for commercial reasons.

  9. Mr Drezz made a very good point here. No objections.

A question could be though, wasn't any cd label got reached or interested for a single album or double (depending the tracks) release? There are few more labels out there now, and since Nervasystem is an old legend & a quality standard, such a release could be better than many other getting out.

I still haven't listened to your new material, but judging by your previous stuff and Time Travel, just wondering..

  10. Few years ago, i watched The Cove documentary about the dolphin hunting in a cove of Taiji, a place in Japan. The footage taken by the activists is quite gruesome and shows the entrapment and the massacre of large groups of dolphins, these wounded beings' desperate efforts to escape. Also, the film uncovers the whole industry build upon the slaughter of these helpless beings, dolphins and whales too, two species with intelligence striving to survive in a modern hostile environment the late centuries.

This (awards winning) film was shocking and made a good impact to the world for a long time, but also informed the unaware japanese people. Eventhough, there is a part in the japanese society and the media, as well as the japanese government, which is tolerant of this practise or even supportive, and new footages always show that the massacre hasn't stop.

Also a similar practise takes place in the Faroe Islands, grindadrap. Around 800 pilot whales and some dolphins are killed annually.

  11. I like deep house, though 'deep' is something rare... and I like it subtle. I came across DJ Sprinkles - Midtown 120 Blues (2009) Mule Musiq

Based on this, first i would recommend Motor City Drum Ensemble.

Subtle and true/authentic/uncompromising, like Anton Zap, Iron Curtis, Tony Lionni, Satore, Sven Weisemann, East End Dubs, Lucianno Villarreal, Matthias Vogt, Maya Jane Coles..

I like some deep house as well - mostly the stuff with a dubby (almost progressive) and/or techy sound, and not so much the oldschool deep house with divas on vocals. Try to look for artists like Daniel Kyo, The Timewriter, Scope, Manuel Tur, Lukas Greenberg and Terry Lee Brown Jr. I especially like labels like Plastic City, Urbantorque and Dutchie Music.

Mentioning Plastic City you cover it all (in a summarised way). Great course.

Deep4Life, Mojuba, Underground Quality, 4 Lux, lot's of labels from the past until nowadays. electrobuzz is a good promotional place to listen to plenty of new and some classic stuff.

  12. This compilation follows in a great extent a more oldschool approach in sound & style, except some typicalness. That means more twists and acid sounds, more raw productions contrary to the common euphoric sound of many newschool productions.
This makes it a pleasant surprise with fresh compositions from plenty of artists, mostly new ones, compiling 2 discs space.
Nothing extraordinary here or marvelous than some fresh waves of oldschool vibes that carry out some very good quality and decency.

Plenty of very good performances with the only tracks not worked for me to be Sand Planet, Gods of Annihilation, Procyon.

    Nice frontcover.

  13. .... The death-relative issues are always unaccustomed or creepy somehow.

So, this topic suggests that the relative conditions will be controlled, something like euthanasia or.. execution ().

So, beyond the fact that death in real is a very personal, unique & unfamiliar experience, i would choose some relaxing green tea or herbal beverage.

  14. hmm.. i would avoid everything with cow in it, just in case Hindus are right.. drink holy water in case Christians are right and probably eat/drink it while looking in the direction of mecca, just in case Muslims are right :D

Except it is Ramadan where you'll have to wait until it is night. :D

Oh! it's the wager of genius Pascal! Interesting :D, but what if the Orphic or the Egyptian or the Tibetan instructions are the true ones?

Of course, there are a few hundreds of religions or cults' directions or threats we will have to follow as well... ;)
