Ughhh that's a toughie. Right now, I'm feeling
it might and probably will change tomorrow. Stay tuned!
That's really weird man, just as I was entering this thread I was thinking it's got to be a Koxbox track, and Fuel On was actually one of the ones I had on my mind.
So I'm gonna switch it up with some true freedom:

Haha. Not just Isratrance but I sometimes get that feeling here too sadly.

Here's some of the best techno EPs from 2016. I'll restrict it to 3 but there's plenty more great stuff if you go exploring.
Rrose // Orphx - Summer Solstice
OAKE - Monad
Luigi Tozzi - Quetzalcóatl

Wicked compilation! Only just found out about it for the first time. Oforia's track is the standout but there are plenty of great ones here.

I'm much to young to know how genres were perceived back then, all I know is, this release sounds unique and predated some of the more recent trends in the techno sound.
Just listen to something like this, released within the last 2 years, it sounds almost like old-school Oforia gone into industrial techno:

This is the album from the original goa era that aged the best, bar none. Magnificent production.

Looks great, cheers for sharing.

Probably not this:
but it kind of matches "hie.. heh.. ha.. (a little pause)then HAAARGH" -
I'm bookmarking this stuff to come back to it at the right moment! Quality material

It's taken me a long time to fully appreciate just what a masterpiece this is, oh my...

Yeah man. Sad times. It's more tempting than ever to withdraw into my hedonistic goa bubble and carry on living like this isn't happening.

Check out @4:35. One of the most climactic moments in forest
Love it, thanks. I will definitely check out these bears.

manuser you are the man.

Wow, fantastic recommendations everyone! So far the absolute standout track for me is the Mark Day track, extraordinarily psychedelic.

The westerners should finally stop sticking their nose to other countries affairs and tell them how to run their country, what is right and what is wrong, or that they should adopt democracy because it is the best system. In many so-called "democratic countries" there is no real democracy anyway.
Kitrinos, I agree with most of your post, and having spent time in China and studied the country's recent history, I was impressed with the many years of peace and the optimism with which most people view their government. However, I think that the horrendous human rights abuses need to be highlighted and criticised until they stop. Suppression and torture of followers of alternative religion and culture is wrong, full stop - everyone has a right to say that. That's not telling others how to run a country, it's basic human dignity.

This is my favourite subgenre (non-goa) of psy, but I find it very hard to navigate. I also find it hard to listen to more than a few tracks in a row or an album, because they fry my brain very effectively.
These two below are outstanding tracks that have really great development, tell a story with very nice sounds and never have a dull moment. I'm looking for more.

Starship 101 (hell, I love all of Alien Protein) and Vimana under Etnica.
Pleiadians.. Head Spin gets the blood pumping. Moon in your window is a trippy piece of work, love it. Shoutout to Maia and Taygeta fans . Taygeta seems to be an acquired taste, only recently when I listened through IFO did I start feeling Taygeta, I don't know why
My friend these Pleiadians have explored the outer reaches of dimensional hyperspace, we are merely catching up to them.

acid-brain, what do you think about this track?
(Aeon - Contribution)
Wonderful. Can't believe I haven't heard of this album before. Thanks.

Manuser is a smart guy, he knows that nobody listens to the countless recommendations here, but he also knows that everybody wants to be the guy with last word on the mastering. Nice way to get us all to listen to a great track.

The thread title says "worst", not "best".
Yeah, that's definitely the best psychedelic cover ever. A concept I'm sure many of us can relate to.

Thanks manuser, that's a nice find. Appears to come from this rare Japanese compilation, along with a bunch of other tracks I didn't know existed: https://www.discogs.com/Various-Trance-Foundation/master/829390

I have seen 2 episodes of Black mirror. Scary reality ? Who knows.
Edit: just finished watching the first season. I like it, thanks Blair.
It dealt myriad of issues plaguing our societies.
Off to watch season 2 now.
Black Mirror is an outstanding TV show. The third season was even better than the first. I definitely think that people interested in psytrance, particularly the darker side of it, would enjoy it.

Never really paid this one much mind before, but I dug it out the other day, and had a blast with it. Perfect example of music that will take your body and soul to another dimension if you are in the right frame of mind, but is hard to understand otherwise. Brilliant blend of ripping acid, sci-fi atmospheres, Eastern spirituality, and judicious use of samples.
Some moments remind me of 'tribal industrial', check out the track This Morn Omina - Taliesin after listening to Life Circles, for instance, they seem to be trying to achieve a similar effect.
A little love for Merkaba/Kalya Scintilla

Extremely talented artist who doesn't get as much appreciation as he deserves I think because he occupies his own niche somewhere between psychill and psytrance. The sound arrangements are brilliant, however I can't be the only one who gets slightly tired of all the Terence McKenna samples.
