  1. Phonix Records is proud to present the latest creation from Phonix sonic alchemist, Ivan Ionkhe (Ivan Lugo, Mexico) and fellow psychonaut Breathead (Vicente Marín, Mexico) entitled Strange Universe.

A story so beautifully haunting and powerful it leaves listeners in a dancefloor trance. Hypnotic grooves, deep atmospheres and just the right amount of robo-speak make this the perfect sonic tapestry to describe this Strange Universe we exist in.

After three long years, amigos Ishikawa and Psykoatl are back for round 2! A little under a year in the making - the duo is proud to present Made in Mexico Volume 2!

The release showcases psytrance producers from Mexico, and in true Phonix fashion, the artist lineup features a diverse group of new acts and established names. The journey starts off with master Z3RO collaborating with up and coming Japanese artist T.K.O on the deeply twisted tale of 'Brain Capacity'. Whizzkid Mega follows with 'Illegal Substance' - a finely honed piece of cutting edge hi-tech mayhem. The Concept Nemeis returns to the series with a deliciously deep and chaotic piece - 'Destroy the Planet'. 'Silvato de la Muerte' is a carefully crafted masterpiece by veteran Kinetik Noise, a balanced track with chaos and order.

Newcomer Diem thrills next with the aptly named 'Troublemaker'. This is a turning point on our journey through Mexico's psytrance offerings - where we go off from the grim and cerebral, and we go to overwhelming dance-floor energy. Roby and Phonix beat hackers Psycho System combine forces to take this message forward with their explosive 'Road to the Underworld'. To take things into overdrive is Mappler, an artist whose take on the full on night sound is as unique as it is hyper. His track 'Self Destruction' is best described as a turbo charged roller coaster ride like no other. Stabilising the release for the final romp is this downright killer track from Tetrikal, 'Brain Damned' (2019 Edit). Groovy, edgy and mean - this is destined to be a crowd pleaser.

This release does not go down without a punch. 'Artificial Supergod' is an unforgettable track bursting with power and melodies - all the proof needed to understand why Mucora is fast becoming a house hold name of night time full on in Mexico. Last but not the least is 'Inner Damage' - the deeply twisted and introspective romp from Phonix Records' very own Ionkhe. A fitting an end to this powerful journey.

Phonix Records is proud to once more put the spot light on Mexico and its talented producers! With that said, we humbly ask listeners once more to boldly go forth and again - take us to their speakers and push the limits of sonic manipulation! Viva La Mexico!

FinalFlash was the project of Robert Dalton and formerly Joshua Tallie who sadly passed away in an accident last year. Robert hails from South Africa and now continues the FinalFlash project himself. The project has come to be known for its original take on the twilight psytrance sound, and was quick to gain recognition as a rising star on the scene having released on a number of respected labels such as Dropland Records, Boundless Records and Psyology Records. It was only a matter of time before the Phonix family had the pleasure to work with FinalFlash.

The end result is this space aged EP - Tales from Outer Space! The release starts with 'Angloriant The Spider' and her intricate web of stratagems and illusions. Expect crisp production alongside haunting melodies, the textbook definition of a dancefloor gem. 'Space Monkeys' is an overpowered roller coaster of energy - a ruthless display of space age sonic manipulation. And to complete things, is the eery yet mysterious - 'Fokken Prawn'!

In keeping with our firm beliefs in karma - all proceeds from the sale of this EP will be donated to Joshua Tallie's family. As you have done so before and will do for many moons more, take us to your speakers! It's time to hear some Tales from Outer Space!

  4. Artist: Various Artists

Title: Phonophilia compiled by Gayle Adams

    Label: Phonix Records

    Cat no.: PHODIGI022

    Format: Digital download

    Artwork by Paulo Etnarama

Phonophilia is defined as the love of sounds. For Phonix Records and our extended family, 8 years into our journey, this love for sounds stays true. It is the north star that helps us stay the course. With that in mind, our very own Gayle Adams, partner and co-manager at Phonix Records, started her own journey to compile this release - a testament to the sounds we love. Over a year a later and Phonophilia was born - a journey built to stand the test of time.

The release starts off with Infektion's 'Rage' (Bruno Lopes/Portugal). Deep and deliberate, it is an ode to the classic twilight sound only the way Infektion knows how to - intense and engaging without compromise. Glitch (Dash Hawkins/ South Africa) steps in to dispel any 'Misconceptions'. More energy, more groove and a robot communicating through melodies a single message - something wicked, this way comes. We then go into the depths of the inner self. Through the practice of deep meditation, and fundamental vibrations, L.E.O.F and Ionkhe (Mario Funes and Ivan Lugo/Mexico) show listeners how each one of us can be a 'Nuclear Army' unto ourselves.

Reborn with a new sense of understanding - we encounter a message from the other side. FinalFlash (Robert Dalton/South Africa) share the otherworldly tail of 'Dhampyre'. A beautiful story with bone chilling atmospheres - a story as ancient as time itself. coRupt (Andre Rossouw/ South Africa) furthers this new found sense of focus through 'Strange Fiction'. He helps transition the release to the next level with an effortlessly woven story of epic proportions. The next chapter gets the adrenal glands working in overtime - Domination (Ricardo Barreto/Mexico) remixes Locked Locker's 'Alpha' (Marcelo Espindola/Brazil and Josue Guzman/Mexico). Carefully honed to a razor's edge - this is truly a diamond in the rough. Killer Buds (Marcelo Espindola and Tarcisio Mainardi/ Brazil) and Dirty Devils (Felipe Vidigal and Emilio Renault / Brazil) take this energy one step further with their outrageously over-powered tale of 'The Lumberjack'. Among all the chaos and mayhem, 'The Descent' into a melodic dimension starts with Earworm (Max Meshiv/Israel). The master does it again - with this slick psychedelic BOMB. Not to be outdone are Contrast and ReFractor's 'Hyper Drive' (Conor James Steed and Luan Boes/South Africa) - a deeper exploration further into the melodic dimension.

With the final leg of this release, Epitaph (Andres Romero and Jose Novelo/Mexico) featuring Orc'N'Roll (Alejandro Olvera/Mexico) take listeners into a burst of energy, guitar riffs and shadowy melodies. Singularity (Andre Muller/South Africa) further explores this realm with his epic remix of Iron Lotus's 'Lotus of Sorrow' (Daniel Honor/South Africa). A well-executed story that effortlessly balances both power and beauty. Not to be outdone, Phonix scientist Omega Flight (Derren Nuttall/UK) teams with Twisted Reality (Ben Edge/UK) to present a deranged re-telling of Deliriant's 'Truth be Told' (Shane Renew/South Africa). A wormhole of an experience, their remix transforms this classic into something truly unique. Beware, the acid is indeed in the music. The final chapter of our journey is 'Anechoic Chamber' by FrontRunner (Marc Le Roux/South Africa) featuring Rubix Qube (Kieron Grieves/South Africa). It is a fitting end to our exploration of Phonophilia. Beware - the 'Anechoic Chamber' will completely absorb any residual waves and whatever is left of listeners with its measured manic chaos.

The Phonix team would like to thank everyone involved with this release for helping us realize our vision. Now, let's follow the north star like we have done so in the past, and will do for many cycles more... Take us to your speakers! It is time to explore Phonophilia!

In a world of evolving technology, the cosmos is considered by many as the final frontier. Ever present, one has only to look up at the night sky to catch a glimpse of it, just out of reach... until now. Phonix Records is proud to present the debut EP, 'Revelations', from Ionkhe (Ivan Lugo / Mexico).

Inspired by clean and heavy industrial sounds - Ionkhe's work is an exploration into the deeper roots of twilight psytrance. His EP is grounded in serious soundscapes and bouncy basslines, often accompanied by just the right kind of haunting melodies that resonate long after each listen. It all starts with a touch of 'Magic', a wonderful opener to this release. Not to be outdone, is the ludicrously overpowered, and overwhelmingly looney story of 'Unacceptable'. Sufficiently powered for lift off, listeners are next treated to Ionkhe's study of 'Dark Matter' - a happy romp into the unexplored. Saving the best for last, Ionkhe is joined by fellow countryman Crk (Jonathan Covarrubias) on the title track 'Revelations'. A serious groover, that will without a doubt turn listeners into dancefloor zombies.

With that said, we humbly ask listeners to trust us as they have done many times before and take us to your speakers! It is time to join Phonix Records and Ionkhe and take off to the cosmos!

Resonance is the phenomenon whereby a sound played at just the right frequency, the resonant frequency, is amplified and manifested physically in neighboring objects. The greater the resonance, the greater the amplification. Deejays Space Byrd and Ishikawa sought to explore this phenomenon of making objects, particularly people, move through sound waves. Over a year in the making, the two worked together and gathered talents from across the globe - South Africa, Brazil, Portugal, United Kingdom, Mexico and Spain - to create the ‘Spectral Resonance’ experiment.

Their experiment starts with Contrast's (South Africa), 'Hear Myself Thinking', a slow introspective groover that helps open listeners’ sonic receptors receive resonant frequencies. Once completed, it is time to experience ‘Intensity’ from the combined forces of the legendary Killer Buds (Brazil)and Corrosive System (Brazil). Things take a spooky turn and the transfer of sonic energy reaches a perfect resonance. What follows next is amplification, with the help of Infektion’s (Portugal) epic, ‘Legacy’. It is at this point that listeners start to feel the dancefloor zombie within taking over.

A moment of clarity is introduced through Systematic Audio’s (UK) ‘300 Years’. A serious monster that helps explore the primal force that is sound. Not to be outdone, Phonix regular Omega Flight (UK) pushes this idea further with his ‘Revenge of the Fallen’ - a mechanical exploration on the power of resonance.

It is time to level up, an apt point to introduce the newest member of the Phonix Records family - Terrorbyte (South Africa) - and his explosive ‘Legend27’. Sinister vibes laced with haunting melodies, sonic control of dancefloor zombies is complete. Ctrl Z3ta (Mexico) and Dj Meskita (Portugal) next take control to turn dancefloor zombies into unrelenting dancefloor robots with ‘Robocop’. Phonix regulars Psycho System (Spain) further resonate with subjects to infuse them with their hypnotic ‘Dark Essence’. Ctrl Z3ta’s powerful remix of X-Avenger’s (Mexico) ‘Serial Killer’ continues to play mayhem with listeners’ sonic receptors.

As the experiment approaches its end, Space Byrd and Ishikawa begin to ease listeners with a dose of ‘Gravity’, a psychedelic beast from Singularity (South Africa). With the help of master Akros (Mexico), energy levels are carefully fine-tuned with the unrelentingly groovy ‘Kronos’. Leading us to reflect on our findings, Aquedeux (South Africa) helps realize the ‘Conscious Symbiotic Evolution’, the realization that resonance is a journey of minds – those of the resonators, and of the resonated.

The Phonix Records crew thank the featured artists, friends and fans for the continued patience and support. We are proud to continue our mission of showcasing proper twilight psytrance and share with the world our vision of the genre. Come experience with us - Spectral Resonance!

They are working together to compile the next monster dose of Grade A Phonix branded twilight damage featuring Phonix stars Aquedeux, Psycho System, and Omega Flight to name a few! The more they worked on it, the more they realized that their creation had reached such epic proportions, and was capable of wreaking such sonic mayhem – that they needed help naming it!

This is where YOU step in! Help “Name the Beast” and you stand a chance to win a copy of this compilation as well as a copy of “Made In Mexico” – the last compilation by Ishikawa and Psykoatl featuring the best up and coming psytrance producers from Mexico including Dominate RMXes winners Thorus Wrath, Roby, and The Concept Nemesis to name a few!

To enter the “Name the Beast” contest by January 15th 2017, send an mail with:

    – Subject: “Name The Beast”

    – To: angad at phonix-records.com

    – Email should include,

    1) your suggested name for the release

    2) your full name

BTW, sorry if you was offended by my comment on bolds & colours, but that really was hard to read - not impossible, but unnecessarily difficult. That's why I was asking if younger people - I'm 40 - prefer that kind of formatting, because it maybe draws their attention more? For me it's quite the contrary. It was a serious question :)

... ^_^ Sure did huh. Tbh I think I do this so much and get bored easily so I thought the colours are fun .. But yeah, maybe I went too crazy  :P I was not thinking "age" really. I'm a 34.. and a bit of a crazy woman (maybe that's it.. HAHA) I'm sorry I was a bit of an arsehole too. Totally my bad. I can understand and probably won't ever EVER do that again!  :D

  10. what a nice way to advertise your release...

i'd be very careful in accusing others of having a bad taste in music, when i put out a compilation that sounds like a superfluous and more bland rehash of cpu's self titled album from 2003.

Really, anyone with half a brain would recognise my comment directed at you was in no why intended in aid of promotion to this release. Off-topic - Take it as a remark from a promoter to one of the biggest psytrance festival production companies in South Africa and a human who thinks your attitude stinks.

Cry me a river. We try to push new full-on night artists and we'll keep doing what we do because we love it, and not everyone agrees with you.. clearly!

After years of plotting, amigos Ishikawa and Psykoatl finally got together and began playing with the idea of a compilation featuring only Mexican acts making twilight and hi-tech psytrance. Over the course of many knob twisting and beat hacking sessions - they were able to assemble an explosive collection of works from the freshest talent that the Mexican psytrance scene has to offer today, aptly named “Made In Mexico”!

This saga starts off with newcomers Epitaph and “Talkin Dave”. A haunting and mind bending story - Ishikawa and Psykoatl could not have thought of a more fitting way to start this magnum opus. Following up is the hyper melodic “Dirty World”, produced by rising star - 1.16. This is a deep story full of energy and violins, topped off with a serious bassline that means business.

Now that the tone of the compilation is set, Thorus Wrath - runner up winner of the X-Side - Dominate Remixes competition - presents his winning remix. A real rumbler of a track, with his signature treatment to the bassline - there is no stopping this beast. Amplifying energy levels even more, Domination takes things to the next level with “Mars Attacks”. Full of furious energy - Domination leads an assault on the senses that is known to manifest itself in listeners through uncontrolled stomping.

Just when you thought you could not handle any more energy - Roby and M.A.D (the super powered duo of X-Side and Eyetek), continue the sonic “Invasion”. There is no turning back, there is no surrender. Initiating motivation protocol! Not for the faint of heart, these 3 minds join forces to give you every adrenaline junkie’s dancefloor anthem. If this wasn’t enough, whizz kid Outer Connection thrills with his unrelenting remix of Portuguese master Sidhartha’s “Omniverse”. A beast of a track, for maximum enjoyment and your safety - we recommended that this be played loud, preferably in a large open area. You have been warned!

Moving on to the latter half of this release, Psykoatl and Ishikawa shift their focus on to deeper darker sounds. The Concept Nemesis (T.C.N), hot on the heels of his epic “Exhausting the Limit” EP, presents “Subjective”. A deranged twister, with production so clean - one cannot help but grin like a boy with a new toy. Keeping the darker mood going, The Evil Monkey explains to us his “Isolated System”. Equipped with sinister melodies, and enough energy to power a spaceship - this is one system that should not be tampered with. As the release approaches it end, listeners are treated to the triumphant return of mastermind - Akros. With “Omega”, Akros stays true to his original style and presents a cracker of a track which literally explodes with melodies to mark the end of this sonic adventure.

“Made In Mexico” is the culmination of months of hard work from the Phonix Family with the sole intention of putting the spot light on Mexico and the new wave of talent that is all but set to take over radio waves galaxy wide! With that said, we humbly ask listeners once more to boldly go forth and again - take us to their speakers and push the limits of sonic manipulation! Viva La Mexico!

With each passing moment, we fall further into the abyss. We as a civilization have only ourselves to blame for our self-destructive habits and the damage we inflict on this plant of ours. Why are we like this? What guides our actions into this spiral of chaos? That is the theme that Franco Sanchez, better known as The Concept Nemesis aka T.C.N (Mexico) - chose to explore. Having well deservedly won the X-Side “Dominate” RMXes competition last year, we at Phonix Records were more than happy to help this young beat twister spread his vision, and thus “Exhausting the Limit” was born.

This EP starts off of with a grim and introspective story of the “Happen”ings of today, a well thought romp into the realm the systematic chaos, thus setting the tone for what is to come. And in fitting fashion what follows is unsurprisingly, “Trouble”. A melody infused beast which keeps twisting and turning until the point it has you - body, mind and soul. As the adrenaline levels fall, you are left to contend with finding yourself “Outside” your comfort zone - there you can find perspective. What are we doing to this planet of ours? Why are we pushing it to the very brink? What can we do stop it? Where there is a will, there is a way - and Franco teams up with Mexican mastermind X-Side aka Luis Cruz to present the ultimate - “Weapon over mind”. An unrelenting story of defiance, filled with super charged melodies and turbo charged grooves - a true testament to the defiant human spirit which can accomplishing amazing things when working as one in perfect harmony!

With this EP, Phonix Records is proud to present - The Concept Nemesis - a primal force not to be taken lightly! Furthermore, we are happy to share his vision of appreciation for the world we inhabit and the collective respect for it, all living beings should share. Now, as you have done many times before and will do so for many moons more - take us to your speakers!

We at Phonix Records firmly believe in the saying of one good turn deserving another. And with that thought in mind, for our next adventure, Ishikawa chose to revisit an old chapter... And so after almost 2 years - it was time to resurrect the nexus which encompasses many of the secrets that gave birth to the Phonix Laboratories- the Twilight Core is back and ready for action!

On initiating the core, a surge of power sweeps the scene leaving behind Omega Flight (UK) and newcomer Aquedeux (ZA) leading the way forward with the "Order of Chaos"... A sinister story full of inky darkness, it slowly creeps its way forth from the minds of these two sonic alchemists. Following suite, a new face of the Twilight Core emerges – the new deeper and darker side project of Phonix boss Etnarama - NNP (PT/UK). Stretching the human consciousness to the very edge, this delicious concoction will drive some listeners "Insane" with its relentless beats and haunting melodies.
Now left to contend with the energy center of the Twilight Core, here Mexican manipulator Roby presents his powerful retelling of X-Side's menacing "Dominate". Roby's unique take on this classic leaves no doubt as to why it was picked as a runner up winner of the Dominate Remixes competition hosted jointly by X-Side (Mexico) and Phonix Records. Not to be outdone, Spanish beat hacking duo – Psycho System – return with their single minded dedication to the transmutation of sonic waves resulting in the "Revival of Energy". An awesome story with melodies that resonate strongly with the will of the Twilight Core!

And so as the resonance reaches a frantic crescendo, listeners are treated to an intense and deep understanding of the inner workings of the Twilight Core. It’s a place for introspection where one can retreat unto themselves only to discover with the help of Aquedeux - the mysteries of "Subconscious Telepathy". A marvelous yet haunting experience which couples lush soundscapes with powerful rhythms. To end things, sonic wizard Zabot (PT) leads the way into the realms of the "Golden Age". A goa inspired epic where one understands the nature of the Twilight Core and its mysterious purpose in modern human society.

With this, the 15th release from Phonix Records, we are proud to continue supporting the music and the artists we believe in! The Twilight Core not only represents the many forms and shapes the music we love takes, but it is also our way of thanking the fellow aliens and friends who identify and continue to support our mission. Now is not the time for any further words, now is the time for the Twilight Core.

The greatest of feats, the longest of leaps – they all start with a first step. And so it is with the story of Pedro Pinto - one half of the popular Portuguese duo, Algorhythm, whose brand energetic twilight mayhem has been rocking dancefloors for some time now. With over 3 EPs and countless releases as Algorhythm, Pedro felt the time was right to try something different. This idea took root in his mind, and finally came roaring to form the debut EP of Thrillseeker - the exciting solo project from Pedro.

Every day starts off with a special period of time, where magic is boundless and the air is electric. It is also a time of great and turbulent change, where the forces of light and darkness battle. It is on a similar note that this release starts, with Thrillseeker's melody crazed beast that is 'Apocalypse'. As it leaves you breathless, twisted and yearning for more - Thrillseeker focuses our attention to the where this story began - the 'Konflikt' between night and day; a sonic expression of overpowering energy and chaos leading to dancefloor bliss! This is what this release is all about, new and magical beginnings, changes of epic proportions ... 'The Dawn' is here! A culmination of several years honing his skills – this EP marks only the beginning of the things to expect from Thrillseeker in the future.

With this our 14th release, Phonix Records is proud to join forces with Thrillseeker in realizing his debut EP and continuing forward with our mission to release only the very best in twilight psychedelic music! As you have bravely done before, it is time now to boldly go where no one has gone before - take us to your speakers for it is a new day and the dawn is upon us!

Diamonds are the hardest substance known to man. Formed under only the most crushing of pressure and intense of heat deep in earth’s crust; they are the physical embodiment of beauty and purity with the ability to capture and bend light to their will. In all our explorations and interstellar travels – our scientists and wizards have never come across such a unique substance.

Enamored by this awe inspiring substance, the Phonix sorcerers began testing the waters of sonic augmentation and manipulation using diamonds. What they finally found was a revolutionary new way of producing sounds waves. Through this new forging process, these beat hackers were able to cut their sounds to refined - and above all – sharp edge.

Phonix Records is proud to present – ‘Diamond Cut’ – a selection of polished twilight psytrance mayhem compiled by none other than Etnarama – owner and founder of Phonix Records. The release starts off with L.E.O.F – the deep and deadly alter ego of Mexican genius System Sequence – presenting listeners with a taste of what to expect from his new project exploring the realms of “Lysergic Experiments over Frequency”. Sonic wizard Zabot (Portugal) wastes no time in picking up the pace with his trippy and groovy “Cyber Horse” – a mechanized beast of beauty and magic. With the wheels set in motion, 3M (Mexico) goes further into the darkness and takes listeners deeper into the unchartered territory of “Neverland”. Deep in the darkness, Dexter (Portugal) finds a diamond in the rough – his unique remix to a Phonix classis, Demosys’ epic “Mary Shaw”. Following suit is the ethereal saga of melody and energy – South African shaman Hysteria’s answer to the deepest questions of the universe encompassed in his “Spiritual Solutions”. Last but not the least, Phonix Records is proud to present Omega Flight (UK) – who ends this fine release with a deep, twisted and haunting “Soundscape”.

With this, our 12th digital release, Etnarama and Phonix Records are proud to continue forward with the mission to promote the freshest and most potent twilight psytrance there is to offer. As we often say in the Phonix Labs, let’s get ready to rumble!

Psycho System are David Iglesias and Sergio Cano - two adrenaline fueled beat mechanics from Spain; the latest additions to the Phonix Records family. We found them in Spains equivalent to Area 51, experimenting with zero gravity fields with maximum power levels on full volume cerebral machines. No strangers to the arts of hi-tech beat hacking, the duo continue to produce music with the aim of freeing the minds of their listeners from the simple shackles of gravity to enter the realm of outer space, and beyond - the ultimate frontier. It is here in this realm that one can truly experience freedom.

Phonix Records is proud to present - Psycho System's 4th high octane EP - 'Infinity Protocol' the mindmelding phenomenon of freeing the human brain through auditory stimulation. Having spent countless hours fine tuning this thrilling roller coaster of sonic mayhem, with this release Psycho System show why they are a force to be reckoned with.

The opening chapter has co-conspirator Ctrl Z3ta (Ricardo Morales) from Mexico joining the duo, combining their capabilities to create a 'Furious Harmony' that will no doubt set the stage for the revelations to come; note : a very sturdy stage is required as these boys are not playing around. Having warmed up the listeners' auditory receptors, Psycho System then reveal the 'Gateway from Infinity' - a portal of high energy and immense power. Only the brave will have the courage to step through this portal, as it leads up to the end of the Infinity Protocol - the 'Way to Outer Space' - where released from all inhibitions, listeners are given the precious gift to truly experience freedom of mind, body and soul.

With this electrifying release - Phonix Records proudly continue to unleash only the very best of twilight psytrance mayhem. We invite you if you dare to join Psycho System and initiate the Infinity Protocol!

    Label : Phonix Records

Notorious across the cosmos for his beat hacking, space diving and dancefloor demolition skills, Israeli scientist – Psygamma (Omri Fabish) – decided it was time to fuse his brand of cutting edge sonic mayhem with weaponized soundwaves to create the ultimate secret weapon of neurological destruction. Hearing of his plans, the Phonix Records labs were faced with a moral dilemma - to release upon the unsuspecting solar system this super powered monster or... not? In the end, the choice was clear, the twisted minds had won! Phonix Records is proud to present Psygamma's debut solo EP - 'Megatron'.

We are immediately engaged by sounds, familiar, yet alien, a tremendous ‘Space Battle’ ensuing; Psygamma’s epic retelling of fellow beat hacking mad man – Inzimo’s sci-fi inspired tale. With phasers set to kill, the unsuspecting listener is immediately induced with our scientists’ sonic beams. Barely having recovered from the initial shocks of experiencing space warfare, the weaponized waves induce the numbness of ‘Blue Brain’, the physiological condition brought about naturally by the cold void of outer space. Symptoms include shivers, perspiration, a ghoulish attitude and the need to pound one’s feet on the floor. The last and most significant chapter of this saga is the epitome of Psygamma's true intention - to take over this galaxy through his secret weapon - 'Megatron'! Sinister melodies accompanied by uncontrollable energy will help release enough endorphins to scramble what is left of your fragile mind.

With this EP, Phonix Records continues to push forward only the very best in twilight psytrance. And on that note, let us unleash upon this reality the twisted arms of Psygamma's super weapon - 'Megatron', roll out!

In November 2013, Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines. The super typhoon caused unimaginable loss of life and the displacement of more than 4 million people. We at Phonix Records believe that the relief efforts there are a cause worthy of our support. Thus the story of 'Pag Asa' the Filipino word for hope came into being. Hope is the central idea of our release as all proceeds from sales will be donated to children's charity World Vision focusing on relief efforts in the Philippines. Artists from all over the world have joined us to help bring this vision to reality. The end result is a compilation encompassing some of the freshest acts in the twilight psytrance genre.
To start things off we have rising talent Glitch, from South Africa, who introduces us to the surreal 'Karma Bonus' an understanding of how human elements interact, showing how one good turn deserves another. Following him is the French genius Brain Driver's epic, 'The Box', a story of twists and turns, a box full of surprises. Bringing us back to reality, Remove instills a sense of calm madness through the ancient elemental technique 'Be Water'. To take things deeper, Catarsis the deadly duo of X-Side and System Sequence from Mexico take listeners on a 'Twisted' trip through an alternate dimension, the lull before the storm that is South African scientist Sonic Assault's 'Edge of Sanity'. The talented Hysteria then sets off on a melodic journey, describing the wonders of our universe and how its vastness can still fit into 'Just One Cap'. Keeping the high energy levels going are beat hackers Distant Touch and Fright Rate who tell the disjointed tale of the 'Hillbilly Stripper'. Disoriented and still reeling from the pumping endorphins, South African duo Disco Volante (Critical Mass and Risky Business) take over your lost mind, after all the old saying does say 'Finders Keepers'. The final chapter of our journey by System Sequence - 'Pag Asa' encapsulates all we wish to say through this album, and leaves us with the message of hope, with the music giving us the strength to get back up after the psychedelic maelstrom and rebuild. A special thanks to Orca aka Alon Laifer, the Israeli twilight master for his impeccable mastering for a majority of this release.
This is a release for those who enjoy energetic, powerful twilight psytrance and believe in the healing power of music. Above all this release is intended for those who like us believe in the message of hope that we as human beings can come together to help the unfortunate in their time of need. At Phonix Records, our scientists and wizards work tirelessly towards their higher calling. Their rhythmic mantra, dedicated to the greater beings of the twilight, echoes through the labyrinthine walls, consuming their mind, body and soul. To reach out and activate the minds of their followers, they have only one route to create the very best twilight psychedelic sounds they can. Masters of their craft, they have invested many hours and lunar cycles in research, trials and extensive dance floor testing to arrive upon the epitome of twilight psytrance The Twilight Core.

Grand Poobah, Ishikawa, is the conductor, aligning the monsters and directing their powers. 'It Begins' with the activation of the core, entrusted to head scientists Dexter and Soul Eater. Their pet project, to accelerate the neurons in your brain, allows you to bend thought and enhances functioning. Just as you reach this higher state of being, you face an ego-shattering experience, 'Downtown' a process perfected and redesigned for the year 2013 by the legendary master of the dark arts, Orca. Fragmented, disoriented, but still alive, you come across the dream team of Undelete, Organnika and Psycho System. Together, they go about systematically reconstructing your fragile ego through the ancient 'Dancing Molecules' protocol, a forgotten practice. It would be prudent to rest now, and realign your new sense of beign, but devious whiz kid Thrillseeker has no such plans of letting you off easy. Immediately, you are 'Intoxicated', unable to express yourself outside of dance, the primordial language. Not missing a beat, you are introduced to the formidable duo of 3M and Z3ro. Some of the most powerful scientists around, specializing in hardcore dance floor destruction, they bring you to, 'The End', a delicious parting gift as you re-enter reality, changed forever.

The Twilight Core is truly greater than the sum of all its parts and will take listeners on a journey into the final frontier that of inner space. This is an experience for body, mind and soul that aims to change your perception of what is, and if all goes well the idea of your very being. What it all really boils down to is a very simple question are you ready to experience the Twilight Core?

    PHODIGI005

Fresh from the Phonix Records laboratories is the new virus, only known as the 'Logic Error'. Synthesized by the entity known as Distant Touch (Ashley Maclaughlin)- the mysterious scientist who hails from South Africa. Symptoms include uncontrollable body movements often resulting in dancefloor stomps, overclocking of neural processors, bursts of euphoria accompanied with bone shattering chills caused by elevated endorphin levels. The virus is highly contagious, if encountered the only way to keep it at bay is to let it loose on the loudest set of speakers available. Phonix Records is proud to present Distant Touch's second EP - 'Logic Error' featuring three original tracks. The music on this EP is best described as groovy and aggressive with enough power to jumpstart your adrenal glands. The energy levels don't let up through the introduction of the 'Logic Error', to exploring its 'Demonic' aspects culminating finally in the 'Offensive Psy Application'. In keeping with true Phonix style - we recommend you take us to your speakers!
