  1. The newsletter! :) Upcoming cds/vinyls etc :)

    Dear Suntrippers!
You got this mail because you ordered music from Suntrip Records. If you dont want these info mails anymore, just reply with NO and we remove you from the list. For all the others:

    A short infomail this time!

    1.) New VA Compilation!
2.) Upcoming releases (CD & Vinyl)
    3.) 90s Classic Goa Trax

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

1.) Suntrip is back with a pure goa-trance compilation! Big names such as Filteria, Mindsphere, Triquetra, Afgin & Merr0w are mixed with Suntrip newcomers Innerzone, Mini Spacer & Party Droid! But one thing they all have in common: they create smashing goa-trance!

    Samples - CD/digital-sales: https://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com/album/suntopia
    Artwork: Bart Van Hertum
    Mastering: Tim Schuldt
    Tracklist:

    1. Mindsphere - Inside
    2. Mini Spacer - The Call Of The Whales
    3. InnerZone - Sea Of Tranquility
    4. Merr0w - Cephalopod Awareness
    5. Triquetra - A Large Cup Of Chaos, Please
    6. Party Droid - Into The Night
    7. Filteria - Bring Everything But Whistles
    8. Afgin - Solar Lights

The emotional, sensitive and hypnotic melodic part is covered by a deep trancy track by Mindsphere, a spiralling morning monster by Afgin & a hypnotic floater by Mini Spacer. The acidic part is done, once again, by the Triquetra brothers who probably eat 303 as breakfast! Also Merr0w comes with a hallucinogenic acidic stomper. The euphoric part is taken care of by the allmighty Filteria, and the Swedish newcomer Party Droid, who will surprise with powerful uplifting music, plus the Israeli dragonfly Innerzone, who knows exactly how to build atmospheres! Enjoy!

2.) We are working on a lot of new stuff! Which means, more goa-trance for all of you! The exact release schedule depends a bit on artists being ready, printing times etc, but we can already tell you our next album is the second full album of Afgin on Suntrip! :) We hope to have it ready by the end of sept/early october. After that will come the Battle Buddhas or Filteria (depending a bit on their production time). After that the Tim Schuldt retrodelic (with unreleased stuff) and a Classic Goa Trax 2CD compilation is planned for sure! And Nebula Meltdown, Triquetra and some others are working hard on new albums as well! :)
The vinyl updates! :) We managed to make a deal to print Dimension 5 - Transdimensional (with special vinyl mastering) as 2xLP, and also... Ra-9th will get the same treatment! :) And last but not least, we hope to have a "best of" Filteria as well on 2xLP when he releases the album! :)
The others will need some to release but they will come sooner or later! :)

3.) We keep releasing & re-releasing 90's Classic goa-trance music on our sublabel Classic Goa Trax! This music is available on our bandcamp of course but also on all other download and streaming sites :)

    https://classicgoatrax.bandcamp.com/

just my small nasty words...Suntopia is far ahead of Gamma Draconis. i cant even compare them.

    Just Wow.

It is a total different concept of course... Here we tried to go back to the Suntrip roots... Magical goa-trance in the old style made by todays artists and todays production :) Glad you like it!

  3. Suntrip is back with a classic goa-trance compilation which was released today! Big names such as Filteria, Mindsphere, Triquetra, Afgin & Merr0w are mixed with Suntrip newcomers Innerzone, Mini Spacer & Party Droid! But one thing they all have in common: they create smashing goa-trance!

After our concept compilations Gamma Draconis (old school guys making one more goa-track) and Carpe Noctem (melodic foresty goa) we felt the urge to go back to our roots. The best of melodic & acidic goa-trance!

5. Tim Schuldt is known for his harsh, straightforward rocking goa-trance with a psy-trance/technoid edge! In this new Single collection on the bandcamp of Classic Goa Trax you will find all his compilation solo tracks made between 1997 and 2001 under his Tim Schuldt name! They got a light new treatment by Kobi Harosh. The last single collection will include all his acid-goa-trax and will follow in september! Rock on!

  6. As reviews are always personal and people's view can differ, I always look to the score on discogs to see which albums are great and which ones are not. Mostly you have so many ratings it gives a nice "average". When you look at these ratings, Artifact has not such a good score, and at this point Fiery Dawn and Median Project get higher ratings for example. As for new school, for now, the latest Khetzal even has 4.8/5.

Anyway, I am still waiting for the cd (did you guys get it already?) to listen :D  Too old school I guess? :D I'm very curious tho

  7. And, another update about Tim Schuldt! :)

We have the great news we will release a CD-album on our partent-label Suntrip Records with his most hard to get tracks and some unreleaseds of the 90s! All remastered by himself.

The ones that did not make it on the CD will all be digitally re-released here on Classic Goa Trax. And we will start with a first single collection next tuesday!

  8. Last week we did something out of the ordinary! :) Our first ambient release: Old school psychedelic ambient was not big in the 90s, but many of the goa-trance artists back then also had their chilly side! In this case we will explore the ambient/downtempo/acid/idm-side of German Xploring Inner Space! They are known for their banging acidic underground style, and thei ambient is equally interesting for sure! :) If you feel like relaxing a bit after all the madness we released before... This is the way to go!

  9. They did a lot of good things for this scene, so its a pitty they stop. It was the perfect label to introduce new, talentful artists... Which resulted in famous guys like Morphic Resonance and Proxeeus indeed! I hope someone else will take over this "gap"...

As for modern goa, it is very vivid and alive in my opinion. The sounds have much more variation as before (when it was 90% highly melodic) and a lot of older guys are back into it as well. If you get tired of it, it is mostly not the music, but the fact you are looking for something else imo... There is enough talent and there are enough good releases :)

Any idea what that "XDR 02" track is on the Amtinaous singles collection? Jerome released a record on X-DR but it was X-DR 008... no samples exist so I can't confirm whether it's actually one of those.

    Interesting you found out :)

I dont have the vinyl myself but he said it is a different version of the tracks released there indeed. :)

  11. I always posted the updates in the Suntrip topic, but I will split them now. They are not always that involved! So, we are at release 50 now! Many more coming of course :) For now I can announce the real Classic Goa Trax playlist on youtube as well! (we also have one on spotify). If you are into supporting the artists big time, please buy the music on bandcamp still, as the income is probably 10000 times bigger as a stream (seriously!) :)

    Youtube playlist :)

  13. Full update!

    1.) New CD-release: Median Project!
    2.) Future CD-releases
    3.) Future vinyl releases
4.) New Classic Goa Trax music

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1.) New release: Median Project!

Median Project is today's psychedelic synonym for full power melodic modern goa-trance! After "Constellation" 2 years ago on Suntrip, he's back with a wonderful sequel coined "Another Galaxy"! Tons of harmonies, more utopic melodies, acid highlights and insane climaxes that will turn you inside out and bring a big spring smile on your face! Hopefully we will be able to experience this joyfull madness together on a dancefloor soon !!

    Tracklist:
    1. Human Error
    2. Starry Sky
    3. Time Lord
    4. Devil Fish
    5. Measurements X
    6. Lone Star
    7. Deep Dive
    8. Other Life Form
    9. Flight To Jupiter

    Mastering: Tim Schuldt
    Bandcamp sale:
    https://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com/album/another-galaxy

    2.) Future CD-releases

The future keeps looking bright for goa-trance, as we have a few very strong albums coming up the next months! :) We will have a new 100% goa-trance compilation called Suntopia soon! Some names you will find on the compilation: Filteria, Triquetra, Mindsphere & Merr0w but you will also get some surprisingly strong newcomers! :) When we exactly release this new VA is unclear yet, but it will be a summer release for sure! :) At the late summer/autumn you will get more "big" names. Battle of the Future Buddhas is working and king Filteria will come with a new full album! :) In the winter a new album of Afgin will see the light and we also have a Tim Schuldt album coming up with remastered, rare and unreleased 90s music only! :)

    3.) Future vinyl releases

After the Gamma Draconis and the Khetzal 2xLP release it was clear for us. Amazing music combined with massive artwork, is still appreciated by the people. So we will do more 2xLP releases in the future! The next year we hope to reprint 1 other classic Suntrip release, and make some "Best of Suntrip compilations" on the long term. 2 vinyl releases a year seems like a realistic future idea! :) Thanks for the support on this one! :)

4.) New Classic Goa Trax music
Our digital only sublabel "Classic Goa Trax" is still bringing you the best 90s music every 2 weeks! Mostly it are re-releases of rather rare 90s albums, but sometimes you will get previously unreleased music as well. Last 8 weeks we released following ones:

    CGT045 : Andromeda - Amiga
    CGT046 : Amtinaous - Remastered Single Collection Part 1
    CGT047 : Syrinx - Unreleased Trax
    CGT048 : Exotic Matter - Astral Attaché
    CGT049 : Virtuart - Pyramids : Remastered Single Collection Part 1
CGT050 : Bypass Unit - Dropz of Obscure Eclipses

If you want to get them, please buy on:

Thanks for all the support and keep goa-trance alive! :)

Really, if I had to explain the new Median Project, it would very global sect goatrance sound with a pinch of Filteria. Those climaxes have incredibly uplifting, very very Astral Projection type melodies with the force of Filteria. These tracks can and will destroy dancefloors (I can totally picture Anoebis playing the main melody of Measurements X and the crowd jumping all over the place) It's just a tad shame many of the parts without those melodies are quite generic and, honestly, grating. I would have preferred more breathing room personally, but I can understand the appeal. This is just from the first listen not having any expectations.

The first track is flipping fantastic I have to say. I really want a full album of it - it's a little like if Cosmic Dimension and Celestial Intelligence had a baby. Just listen to that 4:25. Oomph.

You guessed my favourite (Measurement X) and Lone Star or Deep Dive, not sure :) But yes, super powerful modern goa... I will post all links etc tomorrow, tired now! :) Thanks for the support :)

I'm very excited about this one. The samples were promising.

The first album was great, but I couldn't listen to it much because it's the sole Goa Trance album that makes me sad when I'm listening to it and I have no idea why.

Sad? Such euphoric music? :) Interesting :D It gives a melancholic feeling or so? Beams you back to crazy dancefloors?

Check out Phantasm on bandcamp for something in a similar vein, they have made some really nice compilations (Shakta EP tracks and Phantasm EPs and Psychic Deli EPs)... they are really good! let me rephrase that, they are AWESOME! Gotta love that UK sound!

    https://phantasmdigital.bandcamp.com/music

I love their output and have all their cds/vinyls, but its a pitty they dont have the rights any longer to do so.... But its a cowboy scene afterall. I had some artists complaining to me how that is possible. And there is nothing you can do.

i am very excited about Median Project...i think that he is turning better and better ( in my experience).

his latest and best track i belive....he is in the top of Newschool now!

I agree :) Very strong output these days :) Samples will follow soon :)

  18. Some new updates! :)

On Classic Goa Trax we releases a full previously unreleased 90's album by Syrinx, aka Patrice Van Den Berg! This Dutch producer released a 12' before on legendary Matsuri Productions and a dirty sounding EP under the Hypercycle moniker. On top of that he was also part of Metal Spark! So, you know more or less what to expect, gloomy goa-trance filled with psychedelic sounds, a gloomy atmosphere and futuristic technoid vibes! :) Not for the faint hearted!

    https://classicgoatrax.bandcamp.com/album/unreleased-trax

And... The new Median Project on Suntrip will come 1st of may! Sample following soon :)
