  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiFdXCwivV8 At around 5 minutes. I believe it is from a The Simpsons Halloween-episode, and somewhere I also read that it is Matt Groening's favorite quote from the series, but that is probably false since I read it on the intraweb.

  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJmt3dr9XYQ&feature=related Used to listen to these quite a bit back in the days, still got a soft spot for them, although they hardly occur in the playlist anymore.
  4. Uptempo: 1. Double Dragon - Continuum [2000] 2. Ra - To Sirius [2000] 3. Filteria - Sky Input [2004] 4. 12 Moons - Solid State [2004] 5. Tron - Existence [2006] 6. Torakka - Far Out Express [2004] 7. Hunab-Ku - Magick Universe [2000] 8. Bodhisattva 13-20 - Equations [2009] 9. Bigwigs - The National Heroes Of Sonic Parallel [2007] Downtempo: 1. Satumnaisuus - Kaleidoskopedelia [2008] 2. Puff Dragon - Sazanami [2005] 3. Dub Trees - Nature Never Did Betray The Heart That Loved Her [2000] 4. Phutureprimitive - Sub Conscious [2005] 5. Khooman - Is a Flexible Liquid [2007] 6. Distant System - Spiral Empire [2008] 7. Bluetech - Phoenix Rising [2008] 8. Shulman - In Search of a Meaningful Moment [2003] 9. Asura – Life² [2007] Really difficult task. I tried to be tough on the psy-criterium. Although it is vague, I did not include clearly-techno stuff such as Yagya. Also, some of the placements are arbitrary within a certain interval. For example, all except the top three in both lists could be in almost any other order.
  5. As far as new releases go, I would definitely recommend Already Maged. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvt2nawBo9w
  6. Rotwang: Hopefully I will be doing it for a living starting this fall. Trance2MoveU: What a great picture! What's the story with the tiger?
  7. They are used in these places. Basically, making transistors, in our case.
  8. I am one of these people, but not the creepy guy in the middle. I think he is naked under the clean suit.
  9. Now hopefully this works. Edit: New try.
  10. These "gif-reviews" you are doing are to reviews what cheap isrealian full-on is to psytrance. I much prefer your old style, but hey, thats me!
  11. Its a nice effort, some good variations and the melodic climax is catchy. I think you should add some more layers. Foremostly, a bassline is needed no matter the genre, barring ambient. Also, try some pads to fill up the empty frequency ranges. You can view those with a simple spectrum analyzer. Finally, I think the percussion patterns are far too simple. My suggestions would be to: (i) lower the volume of the open hi-hat, (ii) add closed hi-hats at and between all kicks, (iii) add a snare at every other kick. These suggestions are very basic, but they are a good point to start at.
  12. This is my favorite chillout album of the year. Its completely without pretentions, yet carefully crafted in accordance with a beautiful artistic vision.
  13. One of a couple great chillout releases during 2010 (Galaxy, Psyfactor...). This album holds a very high standard all throughout, more emotional in-your-face than relaxed, but the talent behind it is undeniable. The first track is a classic in my book.
  14. Psykovsky - Tanetsveta http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UviVgXQwvd4
  15. The simple fact of a dark psy artist making slow stuff is exciting in itself (previous examples are all successful?), and these samples add to the excitement in a big way. Definitely looking forward to this.
  16. Check out his '98 album Angel, if you enjoy this. Less melodies, but with that great old school sound. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gf0YDQdY4BY
  17. I find this sub-genre of nitzhogoa a disappointing evolution of the GOA sound. People label their music with this term, as if it were something positive; or at least as if they have no idea what nitzhonot is to begin with. Nitzhonot is a joke, or music for children at best. Adding elements of this style would do nothing, one should expect, to improve the original concept, except crowbar in big cheesy repetitive melodies to attract people that care about little else than that.
  18. Simply horrible. Stupid melodies, stupid samples, generic sound overall. Would rather be caught wearing pink panties than listening to this.
  19. I agree with this for sure, Debut is much more accessible than both following albums. Concerning Tanetsveta, this is the most impressive release I've heard all year. Complex, abstract and very dark.
  20. PLANUM-Unidentified Element of Nature This sounds excellent, are you working on another full length album?
