  1. Nice cover if it was for a splatter film or something, I don't really feel attracted to listen to the stuff... pretty much the opposite! I might have if it was heavy metal  well no not really!

    it is metal :D

    so dissapoint actually :(

  2. According to the Underground Man, excess consciousness is a disease. And I tend to agree with him. It weakens an organism and causes a lot of suffering. I can tell you from personal experience.

Why do people name their tracks like "Expand Your Consciousness" and why do we listen to them? Do we not already have enough consciousness? Are we masochistic? Or are we doing it unwittingly....

there's a difference between "excess consciousness" & "expanded consciousness". similar to the difference between "drowning" & "swimming".

  3. i'm quite pleased with my introductory level Alesis M 520's. dirt-cheap @ €200 a pair & real nice and clear to get a balanced mix on. only downside is that they sound "too good", with that i mean: excellent clarity to get a decently balanced mix of your tracks yes, but they blatantly fail to point out some obvious resonance issues here & there.

on the plus side, they're fantastic to just listen to music on. a friend has a pair of the yamaha's supergroover mentioned and tbh those are just built to make a critical mix on, they point out & exagerate every little flaw in the sound. the downside of those monitors is that they're not very pleasant to actually listen to. very harsh resonating sound overall imo.

  4. So what if God would have wanted me to share everything indiscriminately? So what if the Church tells me I'm sinning and I'll be punished in the after life? I don't believe in God. I don't believe all men are equal: there is no reason to believe this when I don't believe in the equalizing God that first commanded it. I don't adhere to the morality of pity that he brought to planet earth and that is the practical mechanism for equalizing.

Some of you have remarkably small consciousnesses for all the spiritual awakening mind expansion tracks you've been listening to.

for someone of your grand intellectual status you hold on to some really archaic thought-patterns. using pleb-level anti-theism as the basis for your philosophy? that's what people did centuries ago, when they still crapped in pots & pans.

  5. Has this guy even made anything new in like the last ten years? Last thing I remember him releasing was that "26 mixes for cash" or whatever it was called... and that was a compilation

If he hasn't it's a shame and he's wasting his talent

I bought the Drukqs album when it came out... I dunno, I like the drill n bass stuff when I'm in the mood for it

    check out his Analord series/compilation.

  6. Imho, the most effective headphones for this kinda genre costwise is the sennheiser HD485. They're for 70-80 bucks or so and are quite underrated. It takes them quite a bit to burn in well (80 hours), but after the burn in period the mids and highs clear up and the bass settles and becomes tighter. These headphones really have high bass in them. The perfect headphones for ppl who like headphones with a bassy character. They are also 32 ohm and hence are more friendly to low end devices (ipods, pcs) than other high end headphones that require a headphone preamp to drive them well due to high impedence

the hd215's are a good closed alternative in the same (bit lower) pricerange. the bass goes deep but isn't as pronounced. good spatial image aswell.

  7. illegal machines and entropy?

looks like dark psy to me.

at first sight perhaps but it lacks that hazy undertone that makes dark 'dark' if you know what i mean. the arrangements remind me more of full-on than dark.

& then there's stuff like RAM & NRS; which use the full-on formula like it's a joke but manage to sound alot darker than most of the dark genre itself.
